  1. Bears ended up as the same joke they've been for a while. Presumably 11 straight losses to end the year and the 3 wins before that were all against trash opponents. Bears fan coworkers were legitimately convinced they were going to finish ahead of the Packers this season behind Caleb Williams. Unreal delusion.
  2. I don't think the Packers care what I think, but as a fan there is just a mental block for me as far as going into Minnesota and winning at the end of the year, and then having to sustain that level for a month, especially if it's hard fought game that leaves more guys banged up. I would almost rather just lose the game holding a few guys out, then recharge when it matters in the Wild Card and put your best foot out there. And I think Minnesota is the least threatening of the 3 teams ahead of us, and play indoors...so I would rather have them end up #1 than Detroit and certainly Philly.
  3. Right. There isn't really a "best team" IMO. It was Detroit, but they will have a lot to overcome.
  4. And I think Washington is going to lose a game anyway.
  5. I'm with you. And I don't really get the obsession with avoiding certain teams anyway. The Packers will be 6 or 7, on the road against a loaded NFC field regardless. We've fallen flat as a 1 seed so many times. The path people are likely "hoping to get" is the Rams, followed by the Lions, followed by the Eagles. It's not going to be easy any way it falls. That said, Detroit needs a week off the most. So I would like to not see that happen.
  6. The Vikings are at home with a lot more to play for than GB. I think the Packers should be resting/light work anyone who is aching. I don't really care if they win next week tbh. I would much rather see patchwork Detroit have to play a wild card game than see the Packers beat the Vikings in Week 17.
  7. The path to the Super Bowl is going to be a gauntlet in any situation. I don't think the seed matters too much, but obviously I would prefer to hang on to 6. I think the Packers have the current strongest upward trajectory in the NFC. Philly and Detroit have more problems in their current state.
  8. Those are definitely both games Washington can lose. I hope we keep 6, but my ideal scenario is that Minnesota pulls to #1, we stay at 6 and play Atlanta in the first round. I don't think Atlanta is going to end up making it though. In my dream, Washington beats Philadelphia and Minnesota and we beat Atlanta and Detroit (beats LA) and play Washington at home for the NFCCG, lol.
  9. All their star players have vouched for him and Jerry said some kind things. I think McCarthy is safe.
  10. With what the field is going to be I think you want the Packers going to LA where the fans will almost definitely take the stadium over. I do not want any part of a trip to Tampa and I don't want to fall to 7 and go to Philly. Then you can dream that Philly gets knocked off again by Washington.
  11. I Googled a bit. Seems like MLF is lying or there was creative editing used to splice two different bits of him talking about TT and Gute drafting Love. Anyway, the series is good, entertaining fun especially for a Packers fan. Lots of cool interviews, moments with Brett. However I hope people realize it is directed by the son of the Deepak Chopra, who I'm sure Aaron is friends with and so it was likely to present him in a flattering light. That said, I enjoyed it.
  12. As in, not sure why he said it? Because he's the one that said it, lol. Suddenly his record challenging calls makes sense.
  13. Sidenote, one of the most interesting parts of Enigma is that it sounds like Jordan Love was drafted by Ted, not Gute. The GM change had happened by then, but per MLF, Ted believed that Jordan was too good of an opportunity to let it slip away. My impression was always that that was Gute and Ted was a figurehead by that point.
  14. Well, that is at odds with Breece Hall, Garrett Wilson or Allen Lazard who have heaped some pretty lavish praise on a guy 15 years older than them. It's pretty clear watching Hard Knocks and Enigma that Rodgers is very well liked by his teammates. The same 2 names pop up every time this "Rodgers is a bad teammate" hot take reappears, Jennings and Finley. And we can throw in how gracious he was with Jordan Love in there as well. Maybe Mike Williams isn't a fan, I don't know, but the consensus seems to be that Rodgers has very high expectations and expects people to be film addicts and be where they're supposed to be. Not uncommon stuff. The guys that embraced him being kind of a jerk like that have been very handsomely rewarded and credit him for a lot of their success - David Bhaktiari, Jordy, Davante, and Marshawn Lynch in the new doc saying he "elevated him to a different level." Jordan Poyer credits Rodgers with helping him beat alcoholism. Rodgers being a "bad teammate" or disliked by his peers simply isn't supported by the facts or reality no matter how many different media personalities shout it from the rooftops. He is a person, so I'm sure some people dislike him as with any person, but I have seen far more evidence he is liked than that he is not. I can't remember where I read this, but even one of these reporters who thinks he is a bit of a weirdo said himself something like "But I have to admit, I've never met a teammate of his who didn't like him."
  15. Rodgers is well-liked by the players, despite what blabbermouths on ESPN would have one believe. I think he's back in NY next year, 70% because of the sunken cost, and the reality that even if they cut ties, they'd still not be very good. It is probably worth running it back, especially if they continue playing well offensively like they have recently. Get the right coach in there, get that defense back where it should be, and just hope they are above average. If you're going to spend a bunch of money and not be very good either way, you might as well do it with a QB that has been adequate.
  16. It's annoying that the game doesn't count. I get the reason for that, math, but give it something. Automatic tiebreaker over anyone you're tied with at end of year.
  17. Probably get a call from the league office about not pouring champaign everywhere
  18. I'm getting a T-shirt like the true sucker I am.
  19. Catching up on the last couple pages: Rodgers play hasn't been bad this year. His demise is greatly exaggerated on a very bad team. He may not be the MVP QB he was, but IMO he is still in the top half of the league. As someone who unfortunately watched too many Jets games, he is still throwing dimes on a weekly basis. It's been a bad year. There have so many bizarre moments where he throws a great pass only to have it bounce in the air or something and get taken back for a TD. He has, at times, made worse throws than we are used to. That is always a byproduct of losing, frustration, and trying to make something happen. That said, he's 41. I don't know that there is a team out there that wants to deal with him at 41. I am not sure he will be able to find a home if he wants to continue playing, other than maybe the Jets running it back? This experiment would have worked if he were walking into the situation Brett Favre did in Minnesota, which was the expectation, but he wasn't. Favre put together his best statistical season there, but nobody thought that was the best version of Favre. He still had enough juice to excel in a watered down role, that's where Aaron is, IMO. He is not even the top 5 worst problems on that Jets team. I would bet on the Packers to beat the Lions if that matchup happens again. Just a gut feeling. I think the Packers are ascending and have not thrown their best punch at them yet, and I think Detroit is in a struggle health-wise. Philadelphia is a better defensive team. I think they are the favorites, and a visit to Philly in January would be more difficult for the Packers than a dome.
  20. I am feeling Super about this squad. They are looking good, heating up, finding a rush, they can run the ball...my NFC favorite is Philly but the Packers should be in the running and tough to beat. Let's go 💪
  21. Incredible catch and a gutsy throw. I love Love. That is a throw that can go very wrong but he just believes in himself.
  22. You'd probably net like 20 yards by punting there. Getting stopped doesn't really change anything.
  23. Now here is one I would definitely go for.
  24. Off the mark a lot... 18/23
