Remember the old days where it seemed as if we couldn't keep a good pitching coach and pitchers leaving the Brewers found better luck elsewhere? Seems like that tide has turned in a big way. I have to say that I couldn't be more impressed by the organizational turnaround in this area. It occurred to me when thinking about Gustave and adding a second pitch... "Well, I'm sure our pitching clinic can fix that!" ... on a 28 yo "retread" arm. (Retread = he has arm talent, but bounced around without establishing much at MLB - couldn't think of a better term) Whether it is the development of Woo, Burnes, and Peralta or small adjustments to BP arms that make them more effective... there is a lot to like about how we are working with pitchers.
