watching a HR while running to 1st base I was debating how to say this exactly. But basically I meant any movement out and not just standing there. Braun gets castigated for taking a couple slow steps as he starts his way to first. As long as you aren't just standing and gawking, I can't see it as taunting. Because as 1992casey said, you ought to be watching that ball.

It just means people tire of 193 posts that find 193 ways of saying the Brewers are bad. We love having different opinions and constuctive conversations. But it would be nice if your posts weren't all the over the top negative type.

Teams and player can celebrate a victory or a big play without it being in a taunting way. I find it hard to believe that you can't celebrate a big play without hurting the other team's feelings. Taunting: - Every Chris Carpenter strikeout. Villanueva's strike out of Pujols - Randy Moss Mooning the crowd. - standing still and watching a HR - "cut throat" signs to the other players - getting in the other team's face after a big play - Putting the football on the Dallas 50 yd line star after the opposing team scores a TD. Not Taunting: - bat flip, watching a HR while running to 1st base - untuckem' - Lambeau Leap (both the TD celebration and the sister forum at LL.net ) - Jared Allen's sack "tie-up the calf" celebration - no matter how much I hated that one, he didn't taunt a player with it. Most professional sports try to limit the taunting (maybe not the NBA) without squashing celebrations. Not sure why MLB has to be so touchy about it.

I thought we would be rid of this broken record on Khris Davis after the trade, but the same song keeps playing. Khris traditionally starts out cold. His career in March/April is: 232/281/384/665. If memory serves, he did the same in the minors. He started cold last year, then ended up hitting 247/323/505/828, which is about average for OBP and above average for SLG. He fields OF well, but a very weak arm. Overall, he is a pretty average starting MLB LF. We drafted him, started him, and traded him at his peak. This gave Santana a chance to play regularly. And hopefully Nottingham works out and is our starting catcher for years. Seems like things worked out for everyone. Not sure why there needs to be such a debate about it.

I come here to personally apologize to Chase Anderson. I had the game on the radio while I drove to our fishing hole with my kids. He had two balls driven to the CF wall in the first inning while I listened. But we got there and turned off the radio. Then on the way home... yep the 8th inning. And he got crushed to CF once again. But Neuhinwhatever couldn't grab this one. But the 9th inning is on someone else. I was cleaning fish.

Ahhhh... its only juvenile if you make a scatological joke out of it. Now pitching for the Los Angeles Angles ... David Hurlbut....Hurlbut. Sounds like something out of The Naked Gun.

Remember that this fan-base is used to going out to games during normal school/working hours. I doubt the promise of school tomorrow is going to hold anyone back.

Packer fans will remember Nick Barnett and it drove me nuts every time he did his samurai deal after making a tackle 6 yards downfield. Hooray for giving them 2nd and 4? Thanks goodness for foam bricks instead of real ones. I couldn't afford to replace my TV that often... -
How could you not report that Chattanooga got 9 shut out innings out of David Hurlbut? Wow, is that a killer last name!

Our fringe Catching prospects are interesting this year: Manny Pina: 339/381/539/921 - AAA Josmil Pinto: 311/373/410/783 - AAA Dustin Houle: 242/314/342/688 - A+ Max McDowell: 284/361/336/740 - A Carlos Leal: no word yet. Pina: 1 PB, 10/29 (34%) caught stealing (204 innings) Pinto: 0 PB, 2/7 (22%) caught stealing (77.1 innings) Houle: 3 PBs, 11/32 (34%) caught stealing (206 innings) McDowell: 4 PBs, 16/34 (47%) caught stealing (226 innings) Certainly Pina and Pinto's numbers are inflated by the rarified air in Colorado. And the opposite for Houle in the heavy air of Brevard. Still, each one has a pretty decent walk rate going for them. And I'd love to hear something more about their defense than just the stat rates, but you've got to love McDowell's 47% throw out rate. Pina would probably make a decent back-up at the MLB level if we trade Lucroy. I might even give him more starts than Maldonado in that case just because we know what we have in Maldy. At least 50/50. Houle and McDowell have some nice potential. Little power to show at this point, but both have a chance on being a decent starter down the road. At least better catching depth than we have had in the past. -

If you haven't been following this in the Draft forum, Tyler is a friend of splitterpfj's. And we have been getting a bit of the behind the scenes view during his draft process. And now following him in his MiLB career. So we decided to move it to this forum. Hopefully it will get a few more views and comments here. Tyler isn't a Brewer prospect, but its interesting to get a bit more details from the player's point of view. -
Sometimes people need a wake up call. If my employer couldn't get a hold me, I'd be fired too. Maybe makes the majors some day. If that happens, the Brewers were probably part of it.

Ya, he's not pitching above his head. He's just getting S's instead of H's. [sarcasm]Wait, wait, wait... are you suggesting that just any reliever can pitch that 9th inning and get saves at the same rate as they get holds? That can't be...[/sarcasm]

I don't think anyone here will disagree with you about his need to take more walks. But he came into the game incredibly raw and its going to take some time. If it helps, look back at the progression he has made. I'm guessing his career path is going to be like Jorge Lopez's path. A lot of mediocre results and a lot of people questioning if he will make it. And he puts it together late in his MiLB career. He was certainly a boom or bust pick when drafted.

Waiting on Dustin Houle to warm up. Only hitting: 209/329/284/613 right now. At least if the hits aren't falling, he is still getting on base. -
C Carlos Leal is seeing doctors this week about troublesome right shoulder. Could need surgery. Hit team-best .309 in 2015 at Wisconsin. Ugh. That wasn't the way I wanted to solve the Leal/Houle catcher situation at A+ this year...

LouisEly, That was a great call this year on your predictions. I thought about trying it myself this year for fun, but honestly would be lost by the time I left the second or third round. I did however, predict a double-dip O-line draft! Although that was a much easier prediction. -
I used to use FF quite a bit 3-4 years ago. It ran well for a while, but they didn't seem to keep up with upgrades. I was constantly getting "please update your browser" messages, but there were no upgrades available. So I went back to IE for any finance/banking items.
