  1. Depending on the xrays Yeli should be back by April. Fracture will take 6 weeks to heal and then probably another 6 weeks of getting into game shape. The real concern is long term effects from the fracture. The break more than likely involves his joint. He could develop post traumatic arthritis. Get knee swelling and other recurrent symptoms. Its so hard to know without looking at xrays. Also each individual heals so differently and a different pace. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Look at Giolioto. It happens whether its confidence, mental or something else. Burnes has the stuff to be a quality MLB starter. Hopefully that will be in 2020. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Its a shame he hasnt won manager of the year in 2017 or 2018. I think he does a great job. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. It has to do with more at bats combined with people on base. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. It is important though. What you just did was accurately describe the problems of the offense of the last two years. Point is how is it fixed? Obtaining a player who happens to drive in a lot of runs in one year does not mean he will in the next. That is why it’s important. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Excellent analysis. Really the question is how do they improve the offense next year while more than likely losing Grandal and probably Moose. Do they find OBP/contact guys for 3b, SS and C (if any exist). Just hope Cain bounces back and Hiura and Grisham are real? I am sure the front office is as disappointed as I am in the offense. Granted they are an average offense but I think the expectation was to be a top 5 offense.
  7. Sure but hasnt shown enough to warrant any better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I think Wilkerson will be on tonight’s flight back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Agree not bad at all, but I think most of us expected better though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Last night was such a frustrating night. Lose a a game giving up 3 hits. Good news is Houser is looking a legit starter. He could be a good #3 for 2020. Who knows maybe better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. No it is August 9th. September is this year. I was referring to 2020. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I dont like the fact that the last game against the Cubs is August 9th. They should really try to make September all about division games. The NFL has gone to that concept. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. You are skewing statistics to suit your argument. Now let me try. I am almost positive that DHonks is referring to JJ's last three appearances, where he's pitched a total of 3 2/3 innings of 1-hit ball. Small sample to be sure, but there's no denying that he has looked better over the last week. Those innings basically coincide with the return of the split-change to his repertoire. I would not be shocked if he turned it around with the way that pitch has been looking since he un-retired it during the Pittsburgh game. Definitely giving me hope again! The question is why he abandoned it in the first place?
  14. How about going after Rendon instead of Moose? I know more costs would be high, but maybe we could actually beat a lefty starter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Or throw slider first. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Lets wait and see what Black and Fauria do in 2020. Brewers may see something in those pitchers. Change of scenery improvements happen all the time. Losing Dubon is not a loss. I do not think he is an MLB starting player. I think you get Burnes back as a starter and let Hauser start rest of year and see what you got in them. To me the real question is how do you improve the offense especially hitting with RISP. Emphasize high OBP players like Grisham? Sign a higher OBP 3b for next year? I dont what you can do about catcher. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Yep suckville! But just get in. 83 win Cardinal team became world champs. 116 or whatever win Mariner team couldnt win a round in the playoffs. All hope is not lost. Remember the rocky road to playoffs in 2008. That was brutal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Isn't there a 40 man move to be made? Or did I miss Grisham being added?
  19. I wonder if this means Burnes will be stretched out to start? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. The negative to me is that Fauria and Black out of options next year and Pomeranz a FA in 2 months. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Except Cleveland wanted RH bats Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Wow that is all dependent on Trammel reaching the projections. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I like Pina, but he is also getting 1/2 starts a week in favorable matchups. Grandal will get hot again. There is no doubt he is a much better hitter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. So he has 30 days will probably be optioned for 3-4 days and called up in September? Or pitch in AAA playoffs maybe?
  25. Prince got in his way kind of if I remember. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
