  1. Blayberg Diaz with a double - this team an away team OF misplays it (yes I'm comparing the Mudcats game to this high A game). Two runs score, and it's 3-2 lead for TRats. Nicasia back up to bat. If he can get on base then Fischer-Made-Adamczewski. If he can't then that's the three who will be up in the 9th.
  2. I guess it is just Nashville and Wisconsin tonight. Nice outing by Gillis, but the T-Rat bats been mostly silent (only 4 hits through almost 8 innings) Tyler Black with a multi-hit game in Nashville.
  3. Ok. I need to quit. I start watching and Muddies are in the lead, big club in the lead and Sounds + TRats dominating. Now Mudcats are behind 3-2, wrong team ahead in Illinois, and Nashville struggling to keep the lead and TRats giving up runs ugh. I’m sorry for the bad luck folks 😟
  4. Another hard hit ball to deep left off Griffin Tobias. 2-2 game. He cruised for two batters and now 3 straight hard hit balls.
  5. Tobias gets two quick out. Then a double to right and a hit to deep center that Ragsdale may not have played well, and it’s a triple. Mudcats still lead 2-1.
  6. And hello that is two 5 inning outings by Timber Rattler pitchers with nice outings. Tonight Rodriguez was dealing, last night Smith was outmatched by Milbrandt
  7. Ragsdale just lines in the gap between SS and 3B into left and it’s 2-0 Muddies. Ebel up.
  8. Looks like Enderson Mercado got himself into and then out of (via a double play) a jam. 1-0 Muddies and back at bat with Ragsdale up and runners at the corners
  9. OK @Joseph Zarr - you got me waxing nostalgic here. I won't go way back, but in 2022 it was the post Hader trade and the Ruiz/Gasser watch, as well as the '22 draftees (Miz and EBJ), plus stateside debuts of Areinamo and the beginning of Jackson Chourio. Just a few that come to thte top of my head. Then in 2023 it was the Chourio/Miz rise, and that '23 ACL squad (the last squad that played post draft) which was an offensive juggernaut with Baez, O'Rae, along with the '23 draftees Pratt, Boeve, Wilken mashing. And some IFA pitching got on the map with Manuel Rodriguez, Galindez etc in the ACL and Aquino/Herrera/Rivero/Yerlin in low A. Plus Shane Smith. Having looked up those rosters and stats from those two clubs to refresh my memory. Last year this time we were watching Miz transform from an erratic starter to a lights out 1-2 inning reliever and the questions of Miz/Ashby and Yoho on the playoff roster as key bullpen pieces. And getting ready to see some exciting EV data on the previously noted "slap hitter with speed" Braylon Payne. And the fact that the organization seemed to legitimately be one that developed pitching. August has been an exciting time in prospect watching - with the DSL winding down, and the influx of draft picks, plus seeing the prospects who stocks rise (and sometimes fall) after the long summer. We still have a couple of weeks, left but I can't wait until opening day again next year 🙃
  10. Welp. Shuckers give up a HR. And it’s 7-3. Don’t feel like the organization has any come from behind wins in them tonight. There’s been so many from top to bottom in the past month. Sounds and Muddies with solid wins.
  11. Payamps goes 1-2-3 and the Sounds win. Rehabbing Brewers get a win at least.
  12. Matt Wood with a hard hit ball down the first base line and not handled cleanly by the 1B but it’s an error, otherwise Wood would be 3-3 with a walk. Wood has been a pleasant development this season with decent offense in AA and he had been good behind the dish as far as I can tell - he’s not noticeable which for catchers and offensive lineman is a good things.
  13. Shuckers trying to climb back. Pratt with his 2nd hit drives in a run but Burke Ks swinging. 6-3 shuckers still trail trying to recover from that 4-0 1st inning deficit. Doesn’t sound like comebacks are in the systems fortunes today.
  14. Guess how the game ends in Beloit - yup a swinging strikeout, that is 16 K to only 3 hits for the T-Rats. OK boys, come back tomorrow and forget about this game tonight. Just great pitching against you.
  15. Made and Pena both pop up shallow and it's two outs. Adamczewski up to the plate - can he get his first high A hit??
  16. Oh hey - yeah I completely missed that Jake Bauers is also rehabbing in Nashville 😬 So that top 5 in the order for the Sounds are MLB quality hitters (Bauers, Hoskins, Black, Quero and Dunn)
  17. T-Rats get two hits so far in the 9th. After having only 1 hit in the first 8 innings.
  18. Back again - and lost track earlier as the Muddies were not in control, they won. Great pitching by that trio of Hernandez-Reyes-Nova.
  19. In rehab night it's Rob Z making a relief appearance for Nashville to relief Gasser (4 strong innings) and joins Hoskins. Gotta step away and will be back. But T-Rats bat are completely quiet tonight and down 3-0 Mudcats in control, Sounds are up midway 6-0, and Shuckers trying to get back into the game after a 4 run deficit in the first, it's now 4-2
  20. T-Rats bats are still struggling. The relief pitcher has now struck out 4 of 6 Timber Rattler batters and that's 14 K for the team right now. In Biloxi, Pratt with a hit, and steals a base (nice), then scores on Wood's single, it's 4-2. Don't have it on but looks like Wood out a 2nd trying to advance on the hit.
  21. Reyes and Nova pick up where Hernandez left off. 6 up and 6 down for these two reliever, and 5 K. Muddies in command.
  22. Gasser pitches through 4 innings, and at 57 pitches. Rhys Hoskins also playing first base.
  23. Encarnacion draws a walk, then Anderson Ks swinging, DiTuri flies out to center and Holguin take a big breakig ball, and Ks looking. It's still 3-0 Mudcats. Must needs wins here for the Muddies
  24. Travis Smith with a nice night, and is out after 5.1 IP. Seppings in and gives up a single then a SB.
  25. Gasser with another rehab start and got through 3 IP. will see if he goes out for the 4th. Sounds offense is generated tonight by Reynel Delgado. 6-0 lead so far.
