  1. Pena blows it wide open here with a triple to deep right center, then Dinges with a big hit too. Now 16-1
  2. Carlos Rodriguez was pretty good in his 5 IP of "relief" on his normal start night. He has 7 K and 0BB, but allwed 5 hits, and 3 XBH and those 3 XBH were three in a row (double, double, HR) to start the 6th. Outside of that he was rolling. Sounds are down. Shuckers trying to add to the lead here, and Adams again bit hit - double down the 3rd base line. His second consecutive RBI double. Nice hitting there Luke. It's now 4-1.
  3. Huge 4 IP of relief by Bjorn Johnson, as he concedes one run, before Vire in for a walk and a K, and they have completed 7 innings, still up 11-1 Meanwhile Cornielle, through 4 IP now, and only the 1 run, and 52 piches for 4 IP, and now 2K to 1 BB. Shuckers up 3-1 coming to bat in the bottom of 4.
  4. Wilken called out on a low strike 3 huge breaking curveball ... there is nothing you can do with that:
  5. It will go down a F-9 in the scorebook, but after striking out swinging on a curveball and looking bad in the 1st, Pratt drills a liner to right that was caught by a very nice play by the RF with a EV of 101.
  6. Wow. If after 7 pitches including the 4 pitch lead off walk in the start of the game, you would have told me that Cornielle would be through 3 IP (EDIT It was only 3IP, not 4 IP et) with no further runs, and would be at only 36 pitches, I would say heck yeah. If you told me that the Shuckers would grab lead during that time and lead 3-1 and the other team's starter would be at 44 pitches through 3 IP, I would say - yes sir that is our early season 2025 Biloxi Shuckers, a total 180 from the club we watched June - August of last year.
  7. Wow, it's walk-a-palooza in Kannapolis. 9 walks, 2 HBP and 6 hits overall for the Muddies, plus a run on an error in the 7th, they extend the lead to 11-0.
  8. Adams!! Big 2 run double, and the Shuckers are on top 3-1. Sweet!!
  9. Flores was OK in the 2nd, but struggling again in the 3rd, and it's now 6-1 and approaching 60 pitches. Carlos Rodriguez sounds like he is getting hit hard as he gives up 3 runs, now down 4-1. Bjorn Johnson is at 3.1 innings of scoreless relief, 0H, 1BB, and 3K. As Muddies are trying to add to the 8-0 lead. I'm watching game 2 for Biloxi, as the Shuckers are looking to get something going after a lead off double by Warren, after Cornielle has an uneventful 2nd inning.
  10. And he does just that - allows a big fly to CF that Lara makes a nice play on (that is said a lot) Then a fly to RF, and Restituyo nabs the runner. only 1 run in, 13 pitches for Cornielle. Nice bounceback that inning. Let's get the offense going!
  11. 7 pitches in and Cornielle already struggling for Biloxi. Walks the first batter which is a no-no. Then an RBI double. C'mon Alexander let's get buckle down and get it going.
  12. Looks like things unraveled fast for TRats and Flores. A long first inning and 4 runs in, via 2 walks, 2 HBP, base hit and a balk, and an error by Baez. Meanwhile Bjorn Johnson solid in relief so far for DeBerry as Muddies still cruising 8-0. Carlos Rodriguez back on, after Ashby has a good 2 IP rehab assignment.
  13. Ashby rehab assignment started out well. Then an error in his second inning erased by a GIDP. But a walk, WP and a single. Ashby is not as sharp, but also getting squeezed with the strike zone. He has questioned several pitches. So not totally wild. But losing command as he is getting to about 40 pitches.
  14. Muddies get another run. 6-0 in the 3rd. Just keep it going And Shuckers have won 3 in a row against 1st place Pensacola. They are now 18-13 after starting 1-7 this season. That is a 17-6 in the past 23 games, wow!
  15. Yeager get a K, grounder to short, and then pop to shallow right, and it's game 1 Shuckers.
  16. DeBerry threw a few more pitches in the 2nd inning, but strikes out the side. Nice. Yeager is back on for the 7th in Biloxi to try to close the game and try to take the opening game of the double header.
  17. Yeager and gets a K and pop out. Still 4-1 Shuckers. Nice job Gotta figure he will see AAA this year.
  18. Maciejewski not sharp in the 6th. One out, but 2 walks, and a fluke single (pop up to right foul grounder that the wind blew back into play last second that Spain could not get back to). Yeager is in to try to keep the Shuckers lead here. Looks like the Muddies chased the starter for Kannapolis.
  19. And that is what makes that Mudcat team so dangerous and relentless. The 7-8-9 hitters are not pushovers, and routinely have key hits. As Lameda hits a double to get Carolina on the board, 2-0
  20. Not watching Carolina yet - but looks like a very efficient inning by DeBerry - 8 pitches, 0 walks, 0 hits, 0 K.
  21. Pratt draws the walk, and Wilken hits it to the deepest part of the field off the wall for an RBI double. Missed the wall by about a foot or two (6 inches per Javik) off the bat at 104 EV, 407 feet. That is 2 very well hit balls by Mr. Wilken. 4-1 Shuckers
  22. Pratt with a great play up the middle and solid throw to first, and helps Maciejewski get out of the 5th. It's Polish night so far for Biloxi pitching (Wichrowski 4IP, Maciejewski 1IP so far)
  23. Biloxi observations. First - great swings by Warren and Wilken. Both homer were deep to left center. Wichrowski - looks a little better, maybe a little more command compared to last year. consistently 93-94, but the gun did report 97 mph in the 4th once. Also the Shuckers ball/strikes on the screen is pretty off most of the night. Anyone else using the 5 highlighter trick that Javik Blake was talking about in his video on how he prepares? He must be doing it tonight, as he has gotten it wrong only twice by my count.
  24. Well considering the Cannon Ballers put in their 3rd baseman I think it was we had two games today and still need get through the weekend let’s save some arms. Just odd that 3rd basemen gets 4 outs against 6 or 7 hitters with eephus pitches and an occasional side arm, and Reyes gets only 1 batter out. Not sure why Langhorqne was getting ready earlier. Could’ve just let Reyes lose it and save the arm I don’t know
  25. So here’s an oddity. Carlolina and Kannapolis split the two games today both 5-4, so 9-9 runs and teams are 1-1 Nashville wins 4–0 and Wisconsin loses 8-4 so 8-I in terms of runs and 1-1 record ACL Brewers now hold tie breaker for W-L and run differential for the affiliates tonigth ok totally random as Brewers win 5-2.
