  1. So three of the 2020 draft picks in this game tonight (Mitchell, Zamora, Cantrelle). I say call up Warren and call Wiemer (where is he right now?) and get the whole band back together!
  2. Ok Dunn doing it all himself. Steals second. Let’s move him to third.
  3. Seeing eye single in the left side hole. Dunn got it Dunn. Delgado up. Let’s get the runner over at least.
  4. Deep fly but stays in the field and Dalbec hauls in out #3. OK. Dunn to start the innings. Let’s get something offensively Dunn here
  5. Huge K by McWilliams. Needs to get one more out to get the offense back up again. Let’s go
  6. Nearly a highlight reel catch by Avans. But it’s a single and the runner holds at 2nd. C’mon McWilliams. Let’s get a couple more outs here please.
  7. Meccage with a great start. A “statement” game 😉 Bjorn Johnson is an enigma to me. So good, only in relief, but he will have some big hiccup innings that skews his numbers. And what a night for Hardin. Less than a year from being drafted and he gets his first AA win, with a solid start, and oh yeah it’s a stinking division clinching win. That Shuckers team since an April - that series against the Clingstones - have been so entertaining to watch.
  8. Nope. Gets under and can’t muscle it - routine fly to left. Dang it. Bases loaded and no outs and only the one run. Ok. 1 run game. Let’s go Sounds!
  9. EMJ. Rough night tonight. Well he has a chance to make up for that now with w out (Avans Ks).
  10. Oooo. Vaughn got jobbed there. Checked his swing. Now 1 out on a questionable strike out.
  11. That is fair. If you asked me in April I would have said Peña 100%, and Made will be a good 2B/3B, and I honestly haven’t watched as much the past month (life you know) but seems like Made has been better. DiTuri looks good at the pivot as well. Nice to have 3 SS (not including Rodriguez and or Lameda) in low A.
  12. 4 consecutive walks by the Sounds. 5-4 game. Bases juiced and no outs. Ha!
  13. Coming in late again. Thanks for the amazing play by plays @Joseph Zarr Gonna watch some Sounds game - yeah I know crazy right, I don’t watch them much this year, but they are playing an evil Cubs affiliate and I need to see more Cubbie losses….

  15. Joseph - who do you think has looked better at SS so far this season Pena or Made? You are being too kind to the ump here. I counted 2 missed calls on one at bat (OK technically the second was the mix up with Miller which you then covered) but I would say at least 3 missed calls to my untrained eye, and a couple others that were technically missed but Miller's glovework/positioning probably skewed the call. Either way Middendorf was not sharp, but got squeezed big time on top of that. BUT the Shuckers won 😁
  16. OK. Yeager struggles with the first batter but gets the fly out, then a grounder and fly out. It's a W for SHuckers. Woo hoo 9-8. A win and a first half division clinch tomorrow. So close. And so far from a 1-7 start. Incredible.
  17. It's a 9-8 lead on the deep sac fly by Pratt. Productive out. Good job of hitting. And Pratt's OPS is now > .700 Happy Birthday Brock, now go hit the ball hard
  18. OK> Boeve rewards my faith. Tie game here. Let's go fellas. 8-8 and the hitters you want to see are up.
  19. If you believe Sweet about the just above average arm, it feels like that injury takes Quero from top 3 prospect in the system, to a good prospect with possible starting catcher and likely back up catcher floor now. That does put more pressure on trying to keep Contreras longer term, and hoping Dinges (and maybe Wood) can continue to develop.
  20. And maybe Yerlin is pitching for Knoxville with 2 HBP and a WP 😳
  21. Good news - 2 runners on for BIloxi (both via HBP). Expected news Adams has a HBP. Bad news- he was hit hard up and inside part of his arm and he went down. Looks like he will stay in. Need to take advantage of this pitcher please please. I came back because @Joseph Zarr talked me off the ledge. Let's reward my faith in you Shuckers!
  22. Wow. Adams can play third base alright, as he tracks down a foul to left and throws home and keep the runner there. One more out to keep this tied. BUT, no a base hit and it's a 8-7 deficit. Brewers lose to Cubs, and the Shucker give up the lead to the Smokies all about the same time. Just crushing my night. OH well
  23. With the big club Brewers losing, and now the Shuckers at risk of giving up the lead the AA cubs, at least the Sounds beat the snot out of the AAA Cubs. Dang it, was really really really hoping for a clean 3-0 cubbies sweep. Maybe not my night.
  24. I am not used to seeing that many green dots INSIDE the strike zone. I count about 5 missed calls the past few innings. And I mean MISSED. And Middendorf gives up the hit and lead. Ugh. Crap. Shoot. 7-7, still no outs, and runner on 3rd base. Yikes. Middendorf removed, but a batter or two too late.
  25. And it comes back to haunt them, as the AZ Reds go out - single -single with error - single- sac fly and it's 2-1 Reds now. Tobias hits a bit of a snag here in his 4th inning. But escapes with a grounder. Nice job Griffin.
