  1. Hello Jacob Nottingham They have a whole starting team at AAA that could possible make a MLB club! Not saying they will. Nottingham C Gatewood 1B Huira 2B Dubon SS Ecreg 3B Stokes OF Ray OF Grisham OF
  2. Then who takes his place? Brown? Wilson? Either of those options would be a big drop off. This would be the 5 year max contract (approximately): 32.7 35.316 37.932 40.548 43.164 Use the MLE or draft a shooter with the first round pick. That contract would cripple the franchise moving forward. I like Khris and would love him back but that money is insane. I would sign the other FA's assuming they are asking for much more reasonable compensation. I'm not sure how much Mirotic (yes I know they don't play the same position) will be looking for but he seems like a much better value moving forward. I'm not a huge Snell fan but we are already overpaying him and he could be a last resort starter. He shoots the three well; granted on frustratingly low volume. I would prefer to increase the usage of other guys if that is the option. Our bench is incredibly deep with DDV not even being active most nights. I like looking at the numbers and making my opinion from there. The top max is 5 years for about $200 million? Earlier someone said 4 years at about $110 should get it done. I think that is very reasonable. Almost doubling your salary is getting a lot of respect and shows that you still know who this team revolves around (w/o GA this team is not finals material). Max contract ($200 million, no way on this earth) Reserved for the Freaks. $150/5, I am very uncomfortable about year five. $120/4, I am feeling better. $110/4, very reasonable, I think this is about where it should be. $100/4, I am very happy, under budget.
  3. Agree. Just finding a buyer for Thames is hard.
  4. Tick tock, tick tock. Three years/$51 tops. I don't think that will cut it for Borass.
  5. Look at the team Bud had in his first season at Atlanta. Horford was the best player with a bunch of role players. Horford signed with Boston and they Atlanta became mediocre. Similar team here in Milwaukee, Giannis is way better than Horford, but after that, a bunch of role players. Signing these players during the off season will be a chore. I don't think the Bucks can replace Bledsoe. He is so strong and quick at the same time. I wish his shot selection was a little better, but with speed, you will have accidents. I like the steadiness of Middleton. He seems to take over when GA is out of the game, just not as well. I just don't know if he is worth $30 for lots of years. Love Brogdon and Lopez for many different reasons and hope we can sign both for reasonable contracts. $10 per year for each, maybe $12??? I don't know much about Mirotic, seems to be a younger version of Ersan with a little more basketball talent and less defense. He is making $12 right now. I would imagine he will need a raise. Does the following sound reasonable or am I off base or is it even possible... $27/3 years Middleton $27/3 years Bledsoe $12/2 years Lopez $12/3 years Brogden $14/3 years Mirotic
  6. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I tend to doubt it. I think they can get an expiring contract and a late pick for Moore, and a pick is flexible. You can pick your own guy, instead of trading for somebody else's mistake. J Smith is an expiring contract T Maker is a late pick, obviously less flexible add a second rounder if needed?
  7. Wanted him badly when he was a free agent. The Bucks were too busy prioritizing Henson, Plumlee, Mirza, and Dellavedova. Moore got less than half of what they got and is arguably worth more than all of them combined. And someone in here said it's a false narrative that the Bucks made all kinds of terrible decisions for years. Is Maker enough for the Pels to pull the trigger? He is recovering from a calf injury so he just might be primed for a trade and the Bucks can work him into the rotation slowly. He is signed at $8 million for next year, so he is another option if they don't sign Malcolm or Kris.
  8. E Moore from the Pels, a 41% 3 point shooter, for T Maker and J Smith There is the wing player that everyone thinks the Bucks want to acquire. Any takers?
  9. Anyone notice CWood last night at the end of the game? He looked good in limited minutes and had a very nice and 1. He can be a force if they let him play. He plays a lot like The Freak without the superstar talent. Speaking of The Freak, he is starting to look like Magic Johnson. Getting everybody involved. If Brogdon shot a little better, he would have had a triple double with ease.
  10. Three years/$54 tops. I don't think that will cut it for Boris.
  11. They don't have anything to trade. They don't have anything to trade. They don't have anything to trade. They cannot trade a first round pick until 2024. DDV can't shoot. DJ Wilson is playing 10 minutes per game, and while better, still isn't that good. Thon is actually 26 years old (and the entire league knows this) and can't catch a basketball. 4 of their 5 starters are on expiring contracts. They aren't getting AD or Kemba. 4 years of complete mismanagement of the team has come back to bite them. They've got the best record in the NBA and I'm enjoying the ride... but man am I scared for this off season. What is all the anger for? Geez, I just asked a question. If Kemba is out what about Thon for Frank? Seems pretty straight up.
  12. What would it take to get Kemba Walker and Frank the Tank out of NC? Frank is sitting on the bench ala Thon Maker. Just a thought.
  13. Thon would be a perfect peice to include in a trade since he has asked for a trade and that he still has great untapped potential. Khris Middleton is a good option to look at trading. He seems to be looking for a max deal this offseason and I don’t think he is worth something like $35 million per year. Anthony Davis on the other hand is worth that. He’s still under contract through next season and we would be able to offer him a lot more than other teams could if he goes the free agency route. Who knows, he could sign a contract extension quickly if he likes it here. Middleton can get the max contract he is looking for from the Pelicans since Davis’ contract would be off their books. . Looks like the 2020 first round pick is going to the Suns and the 2022 first round pick is going to the Cavs. Bucks Receive: Anthony Davis Pelicans Receive: Thon Maker Khris Middleton First round pick in 2024 Doing a sign and trade with Middleton would be an option that could potentially lower the Pelicans’ return. Maybe we could keep the first round pick if that were to happen. How about Thon, DJ Wilson, and Tony Snell with a draft pick for Davis. We just turn into a great team this year and let Middleton go next year. Have a core of the The Greek and Davis with Bledsoe seems like a strong long term look. Trading Wilson opens the door for C Wood, who is just a fireball ala Dennis Rodman, to ignite our second team.
  14. I thought it was me. It then continued with the Happ foul/delay. I still don't know what he did.
  15. Woah. Sterling Brown as the back-up pg? That's not good. You need a real pg. Brown would be terrible in that role. He's not a very reliable player in terms of positioning or reads, even in his current garbage-man role. I like him a lot in the right role going forward, but that's like saying Braun or Aguilar can be the back-up SS. We have seen how much damage a bad pg can do. Look at Delly, Jennings, and Brogdon in that role the last few years. It made my eyes bleed, and those guys actually had some experience at pg. And we desperately need legit Bledsoe insurance because of those knees. The flaw in this statement is "back up point guard" If you don't think Brown or anybody else on the roster can do it, sign Jennings for chump change. If that does not work draft a pg in next years draft. If Bledsoe would go down the Freek becomes the point guard (he does it all the time now) ala Magic Johnson taking over for Kareem at center when he got hurt.
  16. I like Hill, but he can easily be replaced by Sterling Brown. No way do you pay for him next year. Middleton for five years at $25 mill per scares the bageebies out of me. If they could just rid themselves pf the Snell contract, I think they can make everything work out.
  17. Very nice summation of the team. I wish they would find a spot for C Wood. I believe he is a diamond yet to be seen
  18. It's possible to have numbers and not be that good though. There's no stat for the stagnant possessions he creates by over-dribbling, and he's really slow by today's perimeter defense standards. He doesn't close out shooters or stay in front of quick drivers. That's why advanced stats are rather unfriendly to him. Basketball is still kind of stuck in the equivalent of baseball's "RBI's bro" phase, but sometimes the guy driving in the run is more replaceable than the guys setting up his opportunities (getting on base in baseball or being the guy who draws the other team's best defenders and frequent double-teams in basketball). That may sounds excessively negative out of context, but remember that I originally responded to someone saying he's been the second-best player on the team. I'm not trying to bash him, but 2nd-best player on a top-3 team is excessively high praise for the role he's playing. He's a role player, but his role is opportunistic scoring and that tends to get you incorrectly labeled as a star in basketball. He's good, but his impact is nothing special. He's like O.J. Mayo before he discovered obesity and cocaine. The eye test tells anyone he is a super smart basketball player that just wins. I will take him any day.
  19. Neal Walker 2.75/1 year bounce back. Maybe less?
  20. Beat me to the punch line
  21. I could not watch the game last night, but it seemed as though they are starting to understand how good they can be. They ended up playing 13 players and beat a pretty good team with their second and third string players. I don't understand why Bud doesn't put C. Wood in the game in these sort of games. Maybe he is the secret weapon!
  22. Wade Miley at 2/12
  23. Who says the Crew HAS to deal Thames? Right now, they could roll out this lineup: cf: Cain rf: Yelich 3b: Aguilar 2b: Shaw lf: Braun c: Grandal 1b: Thames ss: Arcia Pitcher Even deGrom would be needing to change his undies after he found out he was facing THIS lineup. We're talking six guys who could easily mash 30 homers... this is the Ultimate Craig's Crushers lineup. Just trade Thames and sign one of the remaining 2b that are free agents. Same crushers lineup with good defense.
  24. The natural inclination is to think that Kratz is the odd man out, but we've seen how much they like him. Pina has some potential trade value. If they really believe in Nottingham, I could see Pina getting dealt before the season, Kratz staying as backup and Nottingham as insurance in AAA. Grandal is going to get the lion's share of starts no matter who is the backup. Frankly, this is why I wonder if they'll turn around and trade Pina. Backup catchers rarely PH anyways. I feel like Pina is wasted in the backup role, would be better to trade him now. Especially considering he will be 32 this year and is entering arbitration. If we were ever going to get value for him in a trade, now would be the time. I am perfectly fine having Pina sitting on the bench for $1.5m. He is still a quality option for 2020 and 2021.
  25. Wow, that spray chart. I know you can't just count all the dots that would've been over the MP fence, but Grandal could have a chance to hit 30-35 HRs this season. Right, many factors go into it, but I would venture to guess most of those over the line aren't HRs anyway. That is where they land. So they need to travel farther to actually get over the wall (not hit the wall). Regardless I expect him to hit 30+, much like I expected Yelich to do the same coming here. There are about 55 dots over the fence with 6 just over the fence. .270 40 HR 110 RBI nice
