  1. If he could play a decent 1b or rf, he would be an upgrade for sure.
  2. You want Santana and his electric .273 average in AAA, along with no power, back up? Leave him there until he discovers his power stroke again. He's utterly worthless without it. I do. He’s already got a double and triple in a 22 at bats so it’s not like there’s no power display. He will be fine. We need offense and I’d be calling on him to help. I would call on Santana before Philllips and his electric and his .248 average with similar power. He does have a great arm, but if he can't hit at CS, can he hit at the mlb level?
  3. Let's arbitrate this... Miller $4,500,000/year one year of arbitration AGE AVE OBP SLG FLD(349 games) 28.9 .240 .314 .411 .964 Sogard $2,4000,000/year free agent AGE AVE OBP SLG FLD(124 games) 32.2 .238 .309 .315 .973 When I put down the numbers, I basically say neither is a long term or short term solution. Miller has more power and Sogard is a little more nimble in the field. Other than that they are pretty much the same (not very appetizing). So if I had to pick with the entire history of the two, I would pick Miller because of the added power (better chance of winning a game late with a pinch hit double or home run). Neither should be in the game late protecting a one run lead. That is my opinion, Miller by a couple of hairs.
  4. July 6 is the last day to sign. Sometime after that?
  5. Woodruff, Ortiz, Houser, Santana, Ray for Britton, Machado and Michael Baumann (Ranked #12 RHP 22 years old in the Carolina League)
  6. I don't understand the managements logic. His stats are almost perfect. Does he have only one pitch? If so, it must be a pretty good pitch because no one can score on him. He can also power hit as well as anyone on our mlb bench. I would rather him pinch hit over Sogard, maybe even Arcia. I surely would want him to pitch over the Big Z.
  7. How long until he Nick makes it to the Majors?
  8. Arcia batting .185 in June needs to go to AAA to try to figure out it out. Saladino for Arcia first. Saladino, Miller, Villar, and Perez can handle ss, 2b and back-up 3b. That means Sogard needs to go whenever they want to bring Santana or Davies back.
  9. Here you go! He gets promoted, pitches 3 scoreless innings, and can pinch hit.
  10. Better making the errors at AAA than at MLB until he gets his feet wet again.
  11. I would not give anything for Archer. I will stick with what we have before giving up anything for him. I don't think DS has any interest in Archer either (no proof, I said I don't think).
  12. The Sky Sox box scores over the next week or so will give you the answers
  13. Bring up Nick Ramirez and he can play 1st and pitch out of the pen.
  14. It sounds like he will play SS at AAA for his stay there since he has not played there this year. Seems like a better plan than just sticking him on the MLB roster and throwing him out there cold.
  15. He was listed as our #58th on the BF top 25 with only two points. I think he should be at least in the top 30 in the next addition.
  16. But chicks dig the home run!
  17. He has moved up to A+ and has continued to hit well. I hope he keeps it up!
  18. Congratulations to Nathan as he gets his first professional win in going 4 innings last night! Hope to see some more consistency from him the rest of the year. As a side note, Devon Williams made his first appearance in this game and Bickford also pitched.
  19. What good id a closer if you don't/can't use him?
  20. If he is still ailing and seems to be rushing his comeback, just DL him for 10 days and go with Woodruff or Peralta for a couple of starts. If he just needs to work out his control, just let him work it out with Johnson. I believe the management will make the right call.
  21. A nice article about his life. https://www.jsonline.com/story/sports/mlb/brewers/2018/05/29/brewers-fan-kid-now-his-star-team-rising/650411002/ Talks about him speaking with Suter when he was on rehab about being "crafty" and not having a 100 mile fastball.
  22. Round 2 Anthony Seigler Carterville, GA HS catcher who can throw with both hands and hit from both sides.
  23. Is Pina, Peralta, Hauser and Ray enough?
