  1. It's been touched on before, but the Cubs not only have the 3rd worst NL away record, but the 2nd best home record. Talk about splits. Far and away the worst split in the MLB. The team with the biggest reverse split? The Giants, who have actually have a winning record away from San Francisco.
  2. Game cast had that clearly in the strike zone.
  3. Time for some Badger Mutual Insurance Runs!
  4. Yeah especially in a 5 game series, that series last year is still stuck in my craw, just getting a shot at them would be pretty cool considering where I was about this team on Sept 1. I also believe that the Brewers stand a better chance against LA in a 5 game series versus 7.
  5. Stearns has shown that he sets a price (either in cash or prospects) and won't go over it. Whether we can afford it or not, I can see us getting shut out due to the bidding war.
  6. A good friend of mine got married yesterday and it was held by the brides family. They rented a place, got a tent, set everything up, etc. I know with the grooms side being out the loop, they didn't know what to do, but even on cleanup, the entire side really didn't want to lift a finger. I was happy to do alot of the behind the scenes things, but it would have been nice if at least they would have even offered.
  7. Yeah, but do you do alright betting on "your," teams? Betting on teams you root for and are emotionally invested in? I've lost way more than I've ever won better on in-state teams. Especially the Packers. I agree one should remove emotion from betting anything significant. I'm just saying that the last couple of weeks have gone well for the Wisconsin teams.
  8. If you told me that the Packers would be 3-0 to start and to be relatively healthy, I would be jumping for joy.
  9. Badgers up to the 8 spot. Just keep winning and that rank will be creeping up and up.
  10. I heard on the radio that the entire starting secondary for the Browns were inactive today, and despite that, the Browns defense is not doing a bad job against Goff and the Rams.
  11. Oof. Could be right on the record though
  12. Given the 2 clinches last year was away from Miller Park, and the assumed clinching this year will be away as well, I am not afraid if we have to play in Washington. As a fan and looking at our home/away splits, I'd rather play home, but I won't fret if we don't.
  13. Kimbrel is sporting an almost 26% HR/FB ratio. For a not small sample, that is insane. His K rate is slightly down but his walk rate and other advanced stats are pretty close to his averages. He has given up 14 XBH out of 21 hits including 9 homers. When he gets hit, he gets hit HARD.
  14. After noodling around on Bref, I saw Brauny was 1 homer away from Granderson on the active HR list and was curious to see how he was doing. He is sporting a .186/.285/.356 slash line for Miami in over 300 ABs. Certainly a shell of her former self.
  15. After its 100% and 0%
  16. What I find interesting is how favorable the Cubs odds were to begin the season.
  17. Throw in the Badgers and it seems like all Wisconsin teams would be a boon.
  18. Yep, he got a pinch hit single yesterday, and they removed him for Taylor Williams as a pinch runner. Tells me he isn't ready for full on running yet. But he can make a difference as a bat off the bench. I wouldn't rush him for fear of reaggravating the injury and losing him for the duration. Keston can just walk around the bases if need be, if he hits one over the fence!
  19. I was talking to a Nats fan, and he is fearing the Brewers catching up to them. I love when the Brewers get inside of people (and team's) heads.
  20. 2 of the 5 were not walk-offs meaning that the stereotypical boys dream of hitting a home run in the bottom of the 9th et al, has only happened 3 times (in recorded history)
  21. Given that if we end up in the WC game, I wouldn't mind playing away. That being said, unless the Nats losing helps us make the WC game, I think I'm rooting for the Nats. I also concur about ultimately rooting for long bullpen depleting games.
  22. For what its worth we were minus 7 in the run differential and plus 1 in game differential against the dirty birds.
  23. Brewers are 28 and 7 the last September and this one. I'd be scared if I were STL.
  24. I look at it the same way as Gold Gloves, All Star nods and any other voting based award. I hope the Brewers players win and depending on the case, think they should win, but realize voters vote on things other than stats, right or wrong and dont put much stock in the awards themselves.
