  1. Anyone else feel like these announcers are a lot of less interested in the game since we took the lead?
  2. I guess these comments that Baez is super good at that wasn't BS. They really are pumping up Baez's status over tags? I've seriously never heard compliments before on tagging someone out being noteworthy. There are great tags applied all the time. A perfect Fast ball pitch out and perfect throw by catcher to 2b and it's what a great player at tagging out? My God. It all goes back to the WBC where he was celebrating an out as the throw was coming. It was so cool so they never stop talking about it now.
  3. When Braun got to first he looked at Sedar, pointed to second base, and said "GO". It was incredibly obvious on TV, I'm sure someone of the field saw it.
  4. That's been this team 90% of the season. Pitching is fine, offense is pathetic.
  5. Tim Kurkjian is quite annoying. You don't have to tell a stupid story for every little thing that happens during the game.
  6. Cubs fans are just happy to be outside. They have little clue as to what's actually going on in front of them.
  7. Excellent sequence of events there by Sophia, Dario, and Augie. Live TV at it's best.
  8. Whomever is listed as the starting pitcher on the lineup has to face at least one batter. I don't know what the penalty would be if he doesn't but that's the rules.
  9. How many times has Yelich been tested since the All Star break? Serious question.
  10. If the brewers stay in San Antonio only to be replaced by one of the Texas teams after a stadium is built, I will not be happy. Mark A may have a perfect situation though. He could help pay for the stadium in exchange for some assurances. Not sure if that is legal, but you would have some stability at triple A, in a nice market. It is nice that the brewers relationship with the Elmore group is strong, so hopefully it isn't another Nashville situation. I just read an article about it, the Major League club can provide no financial assistance of any kind. I don't know why that is, but that's the way it is.
  11. He's 27, so he's just a "regular" free agent.
  12. Turns out it was MVP baseball. And he's from Racine. Didn't know that.
  13. Doesn't Duane Kiper's voice make you feel like it's 1999 and you're playing Triple Play Baseball again?
  14. I would think so since it's considered a regular season game.
  15. Thames really has no clue what he's doing right now. There's no way he should be on the playoff roster.
  16. If voters only had one vote for one person, maybe. But seeing as the votes are ranked (1-10 I think) it shouldn't make a difference. Baez and Yelich will be 1 and 2 on almost every ballot. The wild card is going to be how many voters put deGrom 1 or 2 and which of Baez or Yelich they put at 3.
  17. Rumors are the Mets were looking at Doug Melvin, so he could go too for whatever that's worth.
  18. I've only been watching for 2 innings and the ump's had a very small zone. BA and Rock have been talking about it the whole time. It's not a makeup call or whatever. It's just been the zone tonight.
