The record is not the issue. Based on record they've probably overachieved this year. The issue is that they're doing the same stupid things as last year.

I thought he seemed more upset than he should be when he got drilled earlier in the game. It was his fault for taking a half swing at an inside pitch but he did seem like he took exception to it. He must have went to the Molina school of baseball.

Came here to post about this debacle. Reading lips, Lovullo pointed at Molina and used words that begin with M and F but then Molina goes after him and shoves the ump out of his way. That's right, he shoved an umpire multiple times and did not get tossed. And then speaks of the morals of proper conduct after the game. Lovullo had already been tossed when he started pointing at Molina and I hope he did what he did hoping to make Molina do something stupid and get tossed too. Nothing would make me happier than seeing Molina take 95 to the dome in the next couple days.

I doubt he gets fired anytime soon but it would be nice to see these guys stop making the same sloppy, stupid mistakes over and over again. Bring in Prince as a coach and have him jack some of these guys up.

Mike and the Mad Dog on Ohtani a couple weeks ago. I unfortunately get to watch Russo when I'm on the treadmill because there's nothing else on. He's got some ok moments but is overall just trash.

I’m not much further behind you, and I’m just as snarky. If the Brewers coaches don’t see that as a problem, that explains why this team has never won a World Series. Just more of the “same old Brewers” (as we say among my friends year after year). Same stupid mistakes as last year and the year before.

    Two freaking jam shot singles.

Is this not last year all over again? Only 10 games in but can't score when we pitch, can't pitch when we score, crappy defense, horrible at bats in key situations.
  9. jerichoholicninja
That's exactly what the rule is now, except for pulling the SP part.
  10. jerichoholicninja
I know the rule is that the pitcher should never catch a fly ball but he probably should have caught that one. Hosmer ran about 100 feet. All the pitcher have had to do is take a few steps forward to catch it.

Eh, I'd rather lose like that. It was over and done quickly. The top of the 9th yesterday was like someone slowly shoving a rusty nail into one of your eyes while holding your other eye open.

https://english.kyodonews.net/news/2018/04/fae6cdc03660-feature-baseball-closer-sarfate-swayed-by-affinity-for-hawks-security.html Dennis Sarfate set the NPB single season saves record last year and won his league's MVP award. He also requested to be posted but was denied.

Anthony Rendon got tossed today for dropping his bat after a called strike three. Never said a word to the ump. In fact he turned away from the ump and started taking his gloves and then was tossed. The strike call is whatever but tossing someone who did absolutely nothing is a joke. And like Redon said after the game, there are no repercussions for things umps do.

What a joke of a team. Just disgusting.
  15. jerichoholicninja
    Out.
  16. jerichoholicninja
Double the ticket prices. Might as well take advantage of the Cubs fan in the pocket book while their team takes advantage of ours on the field.

Dillard often gets moved around - going from the active roster to the IR. I'm guessing they just don't have a spot right now so they are doing some roster voodoo. Ya. I followed his roster movements a lot last year. He spent a lot of time on the Helena roster for not playing a single game for them.
  18. jerichoholicninja
Perfect situation for an AB of flailing away at bad pitches.
  19. jerichoholicninja
From looking like an actual baseball team to a JV joke in less than an inning.
  20. jerichoholicninja
    Nope. That's it.
  21. jerichoholicninja
Arcia has such a horrible swing and equally bad approach. I can't understand how anyone can think he'll be even a mediocre hitter.
  22. jerichoholicninja
    At least Hader can hit.
  23. jerichoholicninja
I'm sure it will be among Jeffress and Albers and maybe Hader if there's a bunch of lefties up in the 9th. Craig isn't going to go from having pretty rigid bullpen roles to just randomly putting guys in the 9th.
  24. jerichoholicninja
Williams pitched yesterday, Houser didn't. It was only 11 pitches but I would guess it has more to do with Houser certainly being available tonight while Taylor might not. Geography might play into it too if Taylor could get to Milwaukee by gametime and Williams couldn't.

That's how most teams are run these days. A platoon is generally more effective and cheaper.
