The Cards are hot and have a stranglehold on the last wild card right now. I don't care about the division, please sweep these turds and keep them out of the postseason.
La Russa being more La Russa. Pitcher throws one behind Othani and hits him with another then gets tossed. La Russa argues and gets tossed. Says there was no intent even though his star players were hit earlier in the series. Maybe there was intent, maybe there wasn't but he has no benefit of the doubt based on his history.
Resurgence is way too generous a word. He accumulated some saves but he otherwise put up the same crappy numbers. In two years in the KC bullpen his ERA, WHIP, FIP, and BB/9 were all worse than his career numbers. He had a slight uptick in K's but that's about the only good thing you could say about it.
Wily was on fire his first 6 starts. 31.2 IP, 1.71 ERA, .182 BAA. Since then, 8 starts, 37 innings, 5.35 ERA, .300 BAA. I doubt he figured anything out. He just had a lot of luck/hot streak to start the year.
Mosquitoes. Ever since the monsoon a couple weeks ago they have been the worst I can ever remember. Just taking a step on my deck brings a swarm of hundreds of them. Silver lining is very few on the bites have seemed to itch so far.
In high school we played a baseball game at Southern Door. That was the first time I'd been further north than Green Bay in my life. Now we go camping every year with my wife's family near Eagle River/Minacqua. While I wouldn't say Green Bay is the "border", everything north and west of that is definitely a different world.
I had Bobby Bradley on one of my fantasy teams. Assumed he would be called up early in the season since their 1B sucked. Like worse than the crap we ran out there for years. He finally made it up in June after Owen Miller and Yu Chang, two no hitting middle infielders shared the position, and neither could put up an OPS over .500. You saw the correctly - OPS under .500. Totally boggled my mind how they continued to run those two out there.
I'm going to have to disagree with nothing really happened. I think it's pretty obvious this is the beginning of the fall of the Elite. Kenny already lost his Impact Title and the Bucks lost the tag titles. The last time Adam Cole was in the Elite he tried to break them up, which is why they killed him. There's no way that doesn't come up.
I find the beginning of that to be the most interesting. I've always felt if the umps really wanted to avoid heated arguments and confrontations they should just ignore the coaches/players and keep the game going. Manager wants to continue arguing with the home plate ump, fine. He can stand next to him with live AB's going on. Player won't leave the diamond because he wants to argue about a call at second base, sure, stand there but keep your head on a swivel.
I had read a lot of reviews of All Out and it was almost unanimous that it was one of the greatest wrestling PPV's ever. That's a lot of hype and hyperbole to live up to but I watched it this afternoon and I don't think that's far from wrong at all. I never though Eddie Kingston was much in the ring but his match with Miro was fantastic. Lucha Bros/Young Bucks was one of the best matches I've ever seen. MJF totally got me with his trolling of Jericho's entrance and then he and Y2J put on a great match. Britt Baker was solid as always. Christian and Omega tore it down and then back to back surprise debut's to end the night brought down whatever was left standing. WWE caters to kids and the pop culture crowd. They do a decent job of that and won't lose that demo. AEW caters to wrestling fans and the last couple weeks they have been giving them exactly what they want in heaps.
