  1. Grisham’s surge likely has Taylor and Stokes getting outrighted
  2. perfect day for the entire organization. nice to see
  3. The pace/rate at which you anoint guys is honestly alarming. It's mainly Brew Crew 92. He has declared Rasmuessen, Perdomo, Peralta, and many others to be ready. lots of man-crushes
  4. As we stated last winter, not sure why someone would consider going there. It's not a politically-motivated position, but a safety issue. I'd imagine most Venezuelan players are trying to get their families out of the country for safety.
  5. with pro sports now being a 12-month job, I would expect more players to retire early. They never have a break. In Luck's case, he's been watching from the sideline a lot, and he's been rehabbing. He hasn't had time to just relax
  6. Grandal--as per usual--has dropped several foul tipped balls that should have been strike 3. Luckily it hasn't cost them tonight.

  9. see Red notes. Next two weeks are huge. We'll either be out of it, or in the thick of it.

  12. mlb.com reported last week that he's not near returning. Looks like Mid-Sept at earliest, and that wouldn't even be stretched out.

  15. Not weird at all. Gamel gets regular playing time, will be back when rosters expand, won’t burn an option, and gives us infield depth for the next week

  18. Where do we go from here? We win the whole [damn] thing!

  21. Command and effectively wild in the zone which equates to control are two entirely different things. exactly. When he throws strikes, he still rarely hits spots. It's usually the catcher moving the glove a lot

  24. Counsell does a nice job. I really liked Ned. Insiders told me that he made few pitching decisions, but rather most were Maddux. When people would say “why didn’t we use X pitcher?”, we nearly always heard in the post game presser than the guy was unavailable. Ned and Maddux were the first coaches we had that tracked every ball a pitcher threw. If a guy warmed up twice in a game, they counted those as pitches that would require rest another day. Now that thinking is mainstream. As I said, I like Counsell. I’ve heard he’s not committed to Milwaukee like we think, and is prepared to leave if there are disputes between the front office or if he’s not paid like he thinks he deserves
