  1. He was bound to have an off night. The only good thing about last night is the Cubs also lost... and only one was a really fat pitch.
  2. I watch all Brewers games on Apple TV or iPad. I really hate every half-inning seeing the AWS stolen base commercial. Especially since the baseball broadcasts only use stat cast data once in a while.
  3. Such a weird statement. Jimmy is working hard in his bullpen sessions to improve each and every time. He's going to be innings-limited this year. I want Jimmy strong in Sept, and don't care about him this time of year. I'm a golfer, and by your logic a player can't work on their issues on the range, but rather only by playing.
  4. I still stand by Braun, but I’d like to try him at 1, 2, or 5 for a while. It also seems like Yelich gets set before the pitch, but Brain isn’t finished bringing his hands down when the ball is on the way. The result is he’s late to all high fastballs
  5. Yelich Moose Grandal has been our offense this year. With an occasional Braun and Arcia. Not enough, need more. Please use punctuation so my eyes don’t hurt.
  6. This loss is on Aguilar. Missed a fairly routine pick at 1b. Failed to throw to 2b on pickoff. Next batters hit homers
  7. I’m not one to like messing with the lineup much, but I’d like to swap Braun and Yelich
  8. Didn’t think Panda hit the first one all that well. Normally not much goes out there
  9. Petricka's recent performance in AAA means nothing IMO. In 2018 he posted a 0.78 ERA and 1.09 WHIP in 23 AAA innings. He first got to AAA in 2013 and over his career is a pretty amazing 1.36 ERA/1.04 WHIP AAA pitcher. He seems to be the textbook example of a AAAA player. Just has never been able to find solid success at the MLB level. At 31 years old, he have to be a heck of a late-bloomer to finally find it but it's happened before. I don't mind that the Brewers dealt him and he seems like a pretty reasonable pickup for the Rangers. The Rangers shouldn't really be in it, but here we sit mid-June and the Rangers are in the second wild-card spot. Would be way too risky for them to make a big move now because they probably still think the potential to go down is much greater than the potential to go up. But make 2 or 3 cheap moves like this early, perhaps strengthen the bottom of the roster a bit, and if the team keeps playing well over the next month and is in a good position mid-July, then maybe go out and add and reward the players and please some fans. The Rangers are working way below payroll levels that they have had in the past, so they should be in pretty good shape to add if that's what they elect to do. By definition, AAAA players would be solid big league contributors if they had ample opportunities
  10. His high school has produced a ton of major leaguers: Carl Everett Elijah Dukes Dwight Gooden Gary Sheffield Chris Ray Floyd Youmans also country music legend Slim Whitman That list includes some troubled guys with immense talent
  11. How many pitchers with great stats moonlight as a starting CF???!!!
  12. The Brewers are 12-2 when Woodruff starts. 11 of those wins are by greater than 1.5. Some friends and I have been hammering games he starts with action on both game and run line. I just wish I had taken the adjusted run line last night (since they were dogs).
  13. I always wondered if we'd see Andrews play OF in a pinch. I remember some teams liked him more as a CF prospect. I always like seeing hitters dabble with pitching, or vice versa, as a way of increasing our likelihood of getting a return on investment. Nothing was weirder though than Josh Romanski, though. Looks like he's still playing independent ball, too.
  14. The Brewers are a bit lucky with their W/L record to be honest, considering run differential. We probably have 2-3 wins more than we should. The bullpen hasn't been THAT good, so you can't simply say "oh bullpens can make up for run differential". That said, this team has so many ways it can improve. All the things you said, and don't forget trades. We can pretty much bank on getting at least 1 reliever from the White Sox. There are a couple other moves that can be considered as well. As much as I want to watch baseball, I think the 2 offdays this week will be nice for the bullpen and guys like Cain. I personally think Cain just needs more rest days mixed in. I get the sense he's a bit dinged up and it's affecting him at the plate. That's the mark of a good team: -win more games that you should lose, than lost games that you should win -have more decently long (4-5+ game) winning streaks than losing streaks.
  15. Man, the Astros seem to have great pitch recognition or reaction time or something. They spit on an extremely high amount of close pitches.
  16. Wow what a debut for Yamamoto. Was always worried he was the one that got away in the trade.
  17. I don't know, look it up.
