  1. I guess nobody likes Washington
  2. The only WR in the draft I didn't really want. No rational reason, just because he went to MSU.
  3. Still should get Hyatt, Tillman, Downs... plus get 159. Very nice.
  4. I was hoping for him in Round 3
  5. Happy with either TE, Hyatt, Branch, or Capt Hook
  6. No way 3 of the next 7 picks are TEs, and I'm happy with Mayer, Washington or Musgrove. edit: okay, maybe 2/6
  7. You'd probably wait for a lefty to play Contreras at DH and then put Voit at 1st for Tellez.
  8. Day game after a night game vs a righty=Caratini 100% of the time. If Winker is hurt or completely tanks then maybe Contreras gets some DH time in day games like this. Otherwise, when ARE you going to sit him? Catchers simply cannot play more than 80% of the time, max. Plus, Caratini isn't bad.
  9. Good enough. Basically a 1st and a 2nd for Rodgers, with some other swaps in there.
  10. I did not know that Guerra was out of options. Too bad as he has a live arm that's for sure. Everything old is new again with Cousins and Claudio.
  11. After doing way too many draft simulations, it sure seems like trading down is always a good option. Basically accumulate as many picks as possible from the pick 45-115 range or so. Would I rather have Michael Mayer or get Luke Musgrove AND Zach Kuntz? Brian Branch or Antonio Johnson AND Nick Herbig? Jordan Addison or Tyler Scott AND Cedric Tillman? Unless the staff has a super high grade on a guy (top 5) and he falls in their lap at 15, trade down.
  12. Weird...seems to be on the left side, which can't be too bad. Still, enough with the injuries to starting pitching...
  13. Well, my point is that I'd be disappointed if we traded any of the 4 guys we have straight up for Ruiz. Thus, he's #5 on my prospect list. Of course he might end up better than all of them. But that would be 20/20 hindsight and might not occur.
  14. The best part is we literally have 4 CFs younger than 25 who are/were better than Ruiz.
  15. I think I saw Winker in the dugout...so he's back with the team anyway.
  16. I meant covid protocols in sports, specifically MLB
  17. Sooo, is the whole covid-thing completely over? I'm trying to figure out this Winker situation...4 days is a lot for an "illness," might as well have put him on the IL unless he's back tomorrow. Would rather have 10 days of a full roster than 5 days w/o Winker and 5 days w/Winker.
  18. Also, Payton Henry was DFA'd to make room for Rea on the 40 man. I presume this means that Alex Jackson is the next man up anyways... What happened to our resident roster guru, djoctagon? I miss his all lower caps posts.
  19. He's leading the league in defensive runs saved...Obviously that's a ridiculously fuzzy stat a dozen games into the season, but the eye test is there. He doesn't have to be great with the bat....especially if he is taking his walks.
  20. He's such a guess hitter. Very little ability to fight off the pitch he wasn't looking for.
  21. That is why Wiemer and Turang are everyday players. Holy smokes.
  22. It was not explained...but I think he was arguing with the ump that Brosseau wasn't engaged with the pitcher by 8 seconds on the pitch clock...he was yapping then jumped out of the dugout to "talk" to the ump in the middle of the AB and was basically ejected on the spot.
  23. It's 1-0....hardly a write off type of game.
  24. Yikes. Anytime a pitcher can throw offspeed pitches OFF the corner and get them called for strikes hitters are screwed. It's hard enough when a guy throws those for legitimate strikes.
