  1. AAA 1b this year?
  2. Free agent: Lance Lynn Years: 3 with a mutual option for a 4th year Cost: 52 mil, option year is 18 mil Free Agent: Oh Years: 1 Cost: 6 mil with 2 mil available in incentives Free Agent: Neil Walker Years:3 Cost: 35 Mil
  3. Yep, it wouldn't shock me in the slightest to see us make a move for one of these starters still out there if their demands lower. Heck same for the top relievers out there like Davis, Holland, or Reed.
  4. Just one more arm in the mix, he's not on the 25 yet. If he makes it, yea they could roll with those 3 easily. Hader in not a loogy, Suter really isn't either. Plus Suter has options, I think he starts the year in CS. So the whole Hader situation is unknown, it really is. We can read into every move to fit what we're looking for, but no move yet prevents him from taking on either role. I don't think it stops Hader from either role. I'm just saying if Hader and Logan both are in the bullpen that Suter than Is most likely either in the rotation or the minors.
  5. I would think this indicates one of either Hader or Suter will open in the rotation or the minors. 3 lefties in a bullpen is Lot although not unheard of
  6. I am too. Thought RRR definitely deserved(deserves) another shot to be a manager. I never thought he was that bad to be honest.
  7. Was the fastball uptick legit or did it come from the change in how it's measured (I know that was a big talking point a while ago, but I don't know if I ever read how much it added on average). The Milone deal makes some sense, given the need for big league arms, but I do worry a bit about 40-man space if they get a couple of more signings. I'd rather hang onto someone like Baker, who feels like a Rule 5 type without the Rule 5 restrictions, and give him a year to show that he should be in the 2019 plans before the Rule 5 crunch comes next year. This is a fair question imo about the fastball uptick being legit or not. Anyone smarter than me know?
  8. Do we know it's guaranteed? Isn't it possible it's a non guaranteed deal? Guessing this is probably like the Tommy Milone deal from last year.
  9. Is it possible they think with his Curve and his Fastball coming back up a bit that either they see something mechanical they can fix and/or they think he can be a solid reliever for them.
  10. According to Heyman it's a Major League Deal. Still hoping he has to atleast compete for a Roster spot.
  11. Hoping this is a minor league deal. Can't imagine we are guaranteeing him a rotation spot.
  12. It might just be me, but i get this feeling that we will deal him this winter in whatever trade we make. He is getting closer to the big leagues, but yet we seem to be rumored to add a number of 2nd basemen. If we truly believed in Dubon to step in and be a future core piece we wouldn't be looking to resign Neil Walker or deal for Whit Merrifield. Seems like they would roll with Sogard/Villar/Perez until Dubon was ready. Adding a second basemen to a long term deal would lockdown 2nd, SS, & 3rd all longterm, therefore blocking Dubon.
  13. I honestly don't think late inning relief is a necessity. Knebal as closer with Hader, Barnes, & Jeffress there is passable until the deadline, where if they are struggling you can add a Swarzak like pitcher.
  14. In theory what would it take to acquire both? I would think each would require quite a bit alone. Maybe something like Harrison/Dubon/Burnes/C.Herrera would work? Is that too light?
  15. How real is his power? Looking at his career minor league stats and he's never hit for this much power before? I know his HR/FB Ratio indicates he could actually improve more on his power. Did he make some sort of adjustment where now he is just hitting more balls in the air?
  16. Broxton to SF seems too obvious so it probably won't happen. I could see the A's all over Santana too
  17. I'll be curious if he can pull off the two way thing. Going to be tough to do
  18. I would guess it means if we are in it this year you see some more go for it deals. Similar to Cordell for Swarzak
  19. Yea. My concern is this extra savings Mark A had the last few years now goes purely to this instead of the Major League team. Seems to put the Brewers at a disadvantage.

  21. I would have to go with Johnny Hellweg. I thought for sure he was going to turn into a top of the rotation starter
  22. If i had to guess i would say Santana is the most likely candidate, with Arcia(although it wouldn't shock me if they dealt him) Knebal, Davies, or Shaw also being possibilities. Heck wouldn't even shock me if they signed Brinson or Phillips to an extension.
  23. The Brewers rocking the Cubs in that 1 game series was a lot of fun. Or the first win over the cubs on the walk off Wild Pitch. Those were some of my favorites this year
