  1. This is an awful take IMO. Mitchell has been chronically injured for multiple seasons, including his time in the minors. Jackson has next to no injury history, prior to this hamstring, and probably came back too soon just because of the playoffs. At this point there is no reason to think he is an injury prone player.
  2. The fascination that some on this board have with Monasterio is mind boggling to me. Ortiz is by no means an offensive threat, but Monasterio is basically at the same offensive level when you look at their career numbers: Ortiz 943 AB/.233 BA/.651 OPS Monasterio 533 AB/.250 BA/.672 OPS Additionally, Ortiz is a vastly superior defender at SS. IMO, there is next to zero chance that Ortiz won't start every playoff game this season. If you had a clearly better option, fine, but I don't think Monasterio is that compared to Ortiz
  3. As much as I dislike the Cubs, they are clearly the better matchup IMO. Their pitching, especially without Horton, is significantly weaker than the Pads, and that SD bullpen is really nasty. I understand the angst of potentially tainting the season by losing to the Cubs, but if you were choosing which roster was stronger, without looking at the team names, I'm pretty sure most would say the Cubs are the better matchup
  4. Your list sems much more plausible to me than the original. I would include Gasser over Anderson/Fedde as well
  5. I can't see leaving Miz off the roster and including Anderson and/or Fedde. I just don't see that happening at all
  6. The problem is you keep advocating for Mona, who is below well below average offensively as well. Just because he had a little hot streak doesn't make him a significantly better hitter than Ortiz. You also consistently undervalue the difference between the two on defense
  7. No CeeDee Lamb should certainly help, but GB should win this game on offense since the Cowboys defense is awful...
  8. 15-9..gets them to 100 wins for the regular season
  9. Lots of lineup complaining will commence shortly with Siegler at 3B and Durbin back on the bench..
  10. Currently 5-0..next game 8/27 vs ARZ
  11. What's on?? Even if the Cubs win tonight the brewers still have a 7 game lead There should literally be zero panic at this point
  12. I just saw the lineup for tonight...the complaining will commence very soon I'm sure Lockridge Contreras, Wm Yelich Vaughn Durbin Jansen, D Perkins, B Monasterio Ortiz, J
  13. C - I like the Miller addition and have no issue moving on from Nestor. My issue is Monasterio/Siegler/Bauers. The lack of any upgrade there is disappointing IMO
  14. Bednar reportedly to NYY. Probably will setup for Devin along with Weaver. That's a pretty solid backend of the bullpen
  15. This move would make a lot of sense if you could get TB to kick in $5M or so
  16. If Preller was the Brewers GM I would be worried about some of the more "prospect loving" posters on this board. Many here don't like to trade a prospect in our top 20, let alone a top five in all of MLB prospect for a closer...WOW I realize SD and MKE are different markets, but he is a go for it today, screw the future GM completely
  17. I'll go 13-11 and be happy to be done with LA, until October anyway :)
  18. If both Mis and McGee are coming up as reported/speculated, maybe a trade could be in the works...
  19. I'll go 15-11
  20. I would do that deal if in fact Giannis wants out and Dallas would agree. It would be a quick reset for MKE as Flagg certainly has a chance to be a franchise player
  21. I'm guessing Alexander's the opener and Priester will follow him
