  1. Miami is apparently really interested in Laureano, which leads me to thinking how badly we could use him too. Fangraphs grades his CF defense as really good over the course of his career, and he's a far better hitter than Cain as well. I think he'd be a good target for us.
  2. Not to mention Chourio's OPS falling below 1 for seemingly the first time all year.
  3. Anyone know why Garrett Mitchell hasn't played for several weeks/months?
  4. What's the deal with Garrett Mitchell? Feels like it's been months since I've seen his name in a box score.
  5. Gee, if only we had a tough lefty to face Cronenworth.
  6. Counsell will always use him in these tie games in the top of the 9th situations for some reason.
  7. I don't see why you don't just save Hader for the 10th; he'd be perfect for that role with his strikeout potential with the automatic runner on.
  8. Is his throwing arm merely below average, or is it Christian Yelich/Juan Pierre level bad?
  9. Anybody have any insight on how his defense has been this season?
  10. why are all these link reports bumped with all this extra information from days ago? i'm confused.
  11. Is this on channel 31 like normal on Spectrum? It isn't showing on guide, and on the channel right now is some sporting card feature thing.
  12. I feel like I have decent knowledge of our farm system, I read the minor league link reports daily, etc., yet I've literally never heard of four of our top nine prospects on this list...
  13. Eduardo Escobar not in the lineup today with the thought he is on the verge of being traded.
  14. reported on the athletic today that the Brewers could be a destination for Story, that could be interesting.
  15. i'd be leary of Mancini being an AL guy trying to hit NL pitchers for the first time. Could be part of why JBJ is struggling so much too actually.
  16. Thanks for the video. Looks like the speed really stands out more than anything.
  17. For as much grief was given over the Brewers trading Trent Grisham, the Cardinals have had their share of guys that have exploded onto the scene after leaving their system in the past few years, including Luke Voit, Randy Arozarena, Zac Gallen, Sandy Alcantara, Carson Kelly, and Adolis Garcia. That dude from the Rays who had that god-like playoffs run last year for them was in the Cardinals' system? Didn't even know that.
  18. Nice to see Joe Gray having such an awesome season to this point. Also hard not to be giddy about Garrett Mitchell. How early is too early to promote him to AA?
  19. His last 5 games haven't been good, but if you make it his last 7 games he's got 3 homers. I wouldn't say that a .921 OPS and leading his league in home runs would be considered stats that "aren't even that good", either. I don't think he'll be an all-star, or probably even a starter for more than a season or two, but I would be shocked if he didn't OPS over .500 which is something Keston is having trouble doing. Compare that .921 OPS to other known scrubs like Pablo Reyes, Jace Peterson, and Keston Hiura himself when he was down there. Plus from what I understand it's a very hitter-friendly league.
  20. I remember listening to that game on the radio. I think Matt Stairs broke that no-hit bid up with an extra base hit.
