  1. It wasn't dumb. Jansen is the clear-cut better player over Haase. Not being productive in a small sample size means nothing.
  2. bruh they just played 19 games in 18 days. Everyone is EXHAUSTED. A day off for them is not the end of the world.
  3. Jansen is not DFA-worthy. Sure he hasn't been productive with us, but he also has barely played. It's hard to get in a rhythm that way. Contreras is one of the many many guys Murphy runs into the ground.
  4. maybe yelich's back wouldn't have flared up if murphy would give him a day off here and there. Dude probably started every one of those 19 games in 18 days.
  5. his workload has been massive lately. he's lucky to have even pitched in this game at all, much less go another inning.
  6. Is Contreras ever going to get a game off? Murphy is straight up running him into the ground.
  7. and that's just the offense. Nevermind the advantage Turang has over Braun in defense and base running.
  8. I always wondered why opponents just didn't bunt towards him a bunch throughout the game. (same with Jon Lester)
  9. why did he go undrafted? you would think the bloodlines alone would get him drafted as long as he's a halfway decent prospect.
  10. I'd need a world series win to feel happy about the season! Playoff losses hurt, man. Regular season success means nothing if you don't finish off the job!
  11. I've said it several times over the past week or so, but Vaughn has been mostly fine. In the Cubs series, he hit several fly balls right into the extreme wind blowing in. Another recent game he hit 3 balls over 100 MPH into outs.
  12. I don't remember Jansen's other at-bat, but I know one of his at-bats weren't ugly. Took a pitch on the black of the inside corner, took a pitch on the black of the outside corner, then the pitcher pulled the string on a nice changeup that he whiffed on. Sometimes you just tip your cap to the pitcher.
  13. worst interviewee of all-time.
  14. Vaughn has mostly hit into bad luck lately. He's also barely had a game off since joining the Brewers and is going through fatigue. These guys are humans, not robots.
  15. Vaughn is fatigued. Went without a game off for 67546446758 days in a row. Also, the wind was blowing in at Wrigley for several games which killed his fly balls.
  16. part of it is fatigue, he's had one game off in the last several weeks. Part of it too was a few of those Cubs games, the wind was drastically blowing in, and his flyballs just died.
  17. for all the talk about workload for our relievers lately, there's not enough talk about position player fatigue. Yelich and Contreras haven't had a day off in forever, and Frelick maybe one off day off in a while off the top of my head.
  18. pinch-hitting Siegler for Durbin was the right call. Just didn't work out. Both are mediocre options against good pitching.
