  1. Maybe Julio Castillo thought he saw a dragon in the dugout and wanted to protect everyone. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif Hey Bob, the full story is all over the internet, including video. Maybe Santo can teach you how to use Google.
  2. After listening to the entire Cubs broadcast on the radio yesterday, I wonder if Hughes learned how to pronounce Amezaga's name. Yesterday he kept saying Am-a-zaga. Its pronounced how its spelled Pat. And Santo may just be the dumbest person on the radio. He may not be that way in real life, but he sounds like a complete moron on the radio.
  3. It's not That's what I thought.
  4. Wow, what is the deal with Enrique Cruz. Good thing I can read.
  5. If you see Doug, say hi for me. Were're pretty tight now http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  6. Getting booed was his own fault. He wasn't getting booed until he opened him mouth and threw up all over his agent and the media. This is to what I was referring when I discussed the money. That I would shut up. As to not be taken out of context, I was assuming the booing is what we would owe Bill Hall an apology for. He was booed mainly because of his mouth, not his suckitude.
  7. I'm warning you, don't read this at work!
  8. Turnbow is so messed up right now, he makes Mota look like Warren Spahn. The amazing part about Turnbow is that he actually had some success at the MLB level. 1+ seasons as a closer and a 2006 All Star appearance is pretty great for a guy with his command. I don't think he'll make it to the majors again however.
  9. I have no doubt both Doug and Ned agree that circumstances made Bill the sacrificial lamb for the betterment of the team more often than was reasonable to ask without some sort of speaking up on his part. For $5 million, I will be a sacrifical lamb in worse ways than Bill has been, and I promise I won't say a word! Any player making $5 million to suck should keep their mouth shut. See Gagne. Now there is a $10 million player sucking, and you don't hear him whining about not closing anymore. No apology. I just convinced myself he deserved the booing.
  10. Even if he hits say, 40 game winning home runs? If there is one thing we know about Bill Hall, its that he is streaky (like most players). When he is in the zone he is a monster. When he's not in the zone, he still tries to hit home runs. This doesn't help him hide his streaks, because you won't see him slapping a bloop over the 1st baseman's head very often. He is what he is. I just hope he can find the zone in late September/October.
  11. Not only has Weeks been hot for 2.5 weeks, but his career OBP is virtually identical to Durham's. How can two weeks of production + career numbers > season to date production + career numbers? I don't understand that equation, but its essentially what has been used here. That being said, thank God I don't make the decisions as Rickie has been great this series.
  12. Pulled from an obobo55 post on 7/21. Here's what we have left, and I could argue the remaining blue could be green. -3, -5 -2, -3 -1, -1 0, 1 1, 3 -4, -5 -3, -3 -2, -1 -1, 1 0, 3 -5, -5 -4, -3 -3, -1 -2, 1 -1, 3 -6, -5 -5, -3 -4, -1 -3, 1 -2, 3 -7, -5 -6, -3 -5, -1 -4, 1 -3, 3 Well done Brew Crew, well done. A special thanks goes out to the Dbacks, it wouldn't have been possible without your help.
  13. The worst part about the Brewer fever affliction is it seems to make the start of night games take 10 times longer to arrive. The best part of the fever is the awesomeness acheived when the game finally does start. Brewers win 8-3.
  14. I am curious to see how Zambrano's doing. His last start was a bit troubling, and he's had his fair share of rough outings this year. I would love to see a home meltdown.
  15. Who's house? Brews' house! Say What?!?!
  16. I don't think they are trying to do it, but come on already.
  17. CC with 66 pitches (47 strikes) through 6. A no-no would have been out of this world awesome, but I will take a CGSO please.
  18. How is Prince getting hit relevant? It became relevant last year as I recall. He was not trying to hit him. This is what I was asking, because all I have is Gameday at this point. Thank you.
  19. Just scanned this thread, and I see no mention of Busch league Looper plunking Prince with his 90mph fastball. Was it truely and accident? I don't get to see it.
  20. Cobs at Diamondbacks (Lilly 9-6 vs Davis 3-4) Fixed.
  21. Will this damn work day ever be over?!?!?! No doubt. I can barely take this work crap anymore. Give me Brewers, and give me my Freedom! Thank God I am not some unpatriotic Cardinal fan. Who doesn't like Freedom? How busch league.
  22. I know, and assuming he was 100% healthy, he should be back in the rotation instead of in the bullpen. I was alluding to the "young" portion of your post. My reply might have been irrelevant.
  23. He's the anti-Guillen. Yes, he's a west-coast caucasian http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif. But seriously, he's starting to remind me why I liked the hire back in 2003. But just for the sake of argument, I still think he's an idiot http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif.
  24. Logical. But what if Torres tails off the last 3 weeks of the season (say 4 blown saves and a gaudy whip), and the Brewers still make the playoffs. Are you comfortable with Sal then? FTJ, K-Rod was 21 in 2002. Gallardo is 22, right? Age ain't nothin but a number baby! But you're right, after missing most of the season, he would really have to prove he's up to it for me to get on board.
  25. Truth is it takes a team to win. Yost and Melvin make a pretty good management team. Amen. I am not a big fan of Yost as many know, but I commend Yost on how he is handling the clubhouse. Those guys seem loose and are really having fun right now, and Melvin/Attanasio has helped this cause as well. Hate Yost, love Yost, or indifferent to Yost, its good to be a Brewer fan today. Also, i liked Yost's post game presser comments yesterday. Granted they all seem good when they win. But the Bill Hall comments were true, and I think his players are starting to play for him rather than in spite of him. Maybe this was his master plan... take all the heat and let the players concentrate on getting better. And man did he take the heat. Then again, my logical side just kicked in and told me I am giving Yost too much credit.
