  1. Do you have to pay for an internet connection in order to have any of that? I found in WI, to watch local sports, it is cheaper to buy my internet and cable from a major provider than to have a stand alone (fast connection) from a major provider and then cobble together a bunch of subscription services to get less content from more sources. I think a stand alone internet connection strong enough to run multiple streaming devices at one time is at least $50/mo.
  2. Where do you come up with this stuff?
  3. Are you out of your mind?
  4. No matter who has been in the booth or partnering with Uecker, threads pop up complaining about them. I must be in a rare minority that absolutely does not care. I enjoy watching baseball, the guys telling me what happen out there dont matter.
  5. John Morosi via twitter: Sources: #Cubs continuing to show interest in Sonny Gray, even after Jose Quintana trade. One reason: Vacancy still remains in '18 rotation.
  6. I dont see any reason they wouldnt just take Taylor Jungmann straight up for Sonny Gray. Lets get it done. #eyeroll #2011Draft #whatweretheythinking
  7. This got my hopes up quite a bit, as I quick went to google to see if Hock was a RHP or a LHP. Alas, he is a RHP, which means if we draft him we wont be able to refer to him as Hock the LOOGY.
  8. I expect both Broxton and Santana to flirt with the .800 OPS mark all year long. Why are we so quick to discard these guys? Prospect are exiting, but it isnt like we are running the Mouton brothers out there every night.
  9. Should add tickets in this section are $42 Can sell in any denomination
  10. Infield loge box Section 211 30/ticket Msg me
  11. The hats are cool, I like them. I would love to get one for my son for his birthday in May. But it looks like they are not for sale yet? Doesnt make sense. Id buy it as a gift today, but have no interest in it come July. Anyone know how I can order one of these?
  12. Im sure this has been pointed out on here before, but I was listening to the game Sunday with two of my boys in the car, ages 6 and 3. Kyle Wren came up to bat and Uecker or whomever was calling the game said his name..."Kyle Wren up to bat" and both of my boys said, "Kylo Ren?" and the laughed and laughed.
  13. Jean Segura wished he would have...
  14. The Blackhawks have zero market in Wisconsin or Milwaukee. Any interest you may see is from them winning three cups in the pat 10 years. I watch tons of MN Wild Hockey on FSN. Its too bad about Milwaukee, pretty much everyone here is correct. Wisconsin will never get a team unless someone with a boatload of cash really wants a team in Milwaukee, and that just isnt a reality.
  15. I have really fallen in love with hockey. I wish it were more popular in the US. My kids play, I had never even skated before that, but my now 10 year old really wanted to play a sport the summer he turned 4. I wanted to sign him up for tee ball but it was 5 year old minimum. The local rink started a learn to play hockey class that summer for 4 year olds, we started it ,we both loved it and now we are a hockey family. My 6 year old plays and my 3 year wishes he played. I even took it up and started playing in the old mans league. We live in Oshkosh, a town of more than 60,000 with surrounding areas even more than that. We have something like 8-12 kids playing in the entire city per birth year. It is pathetic. And it has nothing to do with cost. My kids do all sorts of stuff (swim team, piano, theater...) and at the end of the year Hockey is one of the cheaper sports we do.
  16. As a criminal lawyer in Wisconsin, a withheld adjudication would lead to a form of self-monitored probation. Also called a Deferred Adjudication Agreement, sometimes called a Post Plea Diversion Agreement. You essentially need to stay out of trouble, and depending on the "crime" do some community service (likely in this scenario), get into some counseling (Domestic cases), or get treatment (drug cases) then after a specified time (usually 12 months for a misdemeanor) the DA dismisses the case without the judge ever adjudicating a person guilty. In then goes down as a dismissal.
  17. What exactly is Jabari Parker? Is he a shooter? A defender? What does he do well? Im not a basketball fan, so I dont know, honestly. Is he someone this team should consider trading to get someone who can shoot? Can he be packeged with a Monroe or a Henson to get a guard who can make a three?
  18. I never understood all the hand wringing over the length of baseball games, especially as the length of football games has gotten longer and longer. It used to be a football game started at noon ended by 3. Now the 3 oclock games start at 325 because of the constant bleed over and the 325 games go right up until 7. I never understood why the time of a baseball game bothers so many people. I give my dad a hard time (he is 62) because whenever we go to a game, as soon as we sit down, he starts complaining about what time we will leave and how long the game will take. Really?? Why the heck are we even here Dad??? Also, he insists that we arrive at the game almost as soon as the doors open, and we sit there for 45 minutes staring at an empty field before first pitch. Here is baseball's problem. Their fans are old. Im not going to lie. Their fans have always been old, and so long as there are old people out and about they will continue to be baseball fans. And one thing old people hate is being up late. So they gripe about how long the game takes. If the time that the cat-and-mouse game of pitcher vs. runner taking a lead, late in the game with the score close bothers you perhaps we can balance a rule that completely prohibit throwing over to first with the runners not being allowed to take a lead. Just like little league. They can leave as the pitcher starts their delivery. Or maybe we arent as big of baseball fans as we think we are.
  19. But are they in the Walk of Fame? THe last Brewer to be inducted was Higuera a few years ago. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milwaukee_Brewers_Walk_of_Fame The link indicates only 9 Brewer players have been inducted Hank Aaron Rollie Fingers Paul Molitor Robin Yount Cecil Cooper Jim Gantner Gorman Thomas Don Money Teddy Higuera That's pretty pathetic for a franchise that has been around for almost 50 years.
  20. Are we talking about Walk of Fame here or Wall of Honor? One is too hard to get into, the other has almost no criteria. But regarding the Walk of Fame. I strongly believe Ben Sheets and Geoff Jenkins should have plaques. Was thinking about this earlier in the week so glad someone started a topic.
  21. Broken Wrist. I hope it doesnt affect him long term.
  22. Corey Hart is a great comp. Was really looking forward to him in lineup all year. Hugely disappointed in his start and injury. Now performing how I expected. Hope he is part of future plans
  23. I thought I would chime in after reading this entire thread. I think we can clearly eliminate 3 players much talked about in this thread as possibilities. Gallo (can't be), Mendez (already would be), and Matuella (extent of current injury). So coming up with crazy scenarios where we land them is probably not worth the time. I have been a member of these boards (here and LL.net) for a long time and I hold in high regard LouisEly's opinions on draft picks and the such. He has provided a list of pitchers a few times in this thread and if I had to put money on it I would say the PTBNL comes off that list. Payano, Jurado, Palumbo, etc.
  24. I will toss a list out there with nothing but my fandom as my qualifications. 1. Arcia 2. Hader 3. Isan Diaz 4. Brinson 5. Ortiz 6. Corey Ray 7. Bickford 8. Diplan 9. Trent Clark 10. Brett Phillips 11. Lucas Erceg 12. Jake Gatewood 13. Cody Ponce 14. Jorge Lopez 15. Suter 16. Woodruff 17. Gilbert Lara 18. Meideros 19. Nottingham 20. Harrison 21. Burnes 22. Peralta 23. D. Williams 24. Reed 25. Webb
