Not terrible. Though most hamstring pulls don't look bad so not saying much. I'd be neither surprised if he's back in the lineup tomorrow nor if he's out two weeks.
Chris Singleton. Who is that? Anyone? Not a perennial All-Star or anything, but he was too good to make Schroeder jokes about himself not being able to hit. https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/s/singlch01.shtml
Among inexplicable things, Lauer really is a Dodger killer. Given how quickly the pitchers are dropping, it's even good to see Lindblom has recovered quickly from his [sarcasm]knee injury.[/sarcasm]
If Lauer can actually live up to being a supposed Dodger Killer I might be able to stomach the 85 mph fastballs with 35 seconds between pitches. I am not optimistic.
I remember the meltdown here when he was traded. Now he can't even make an opening day roster at the age of almost 25. Ironically, of the Marlins lineup we seem to have given up less to get Yelich than we did to get Tyler Webb from the Yankees (Cooper) or Jake Faria from the Rays (Aguilar).
Life as a borderline MLB reliever: not a lot of chances. There's a chance he never gets in an MLB game again, and an equal chance that 2023 Bickford will be the Cardinals' closer with 38 saves.
