  1. Arcia always doing just enough to not give up on him. Best of luck to Stearns on addressing the Arcia/Urias/infield issues in the offseason.
  2. I'd rather spend the 10 million on him than Garcia... I'm good with a salary dump trade on Garcia. Give the spot to Taylor. Braun could still play out there sparingly. We'll be leading the charge on keeping the DH considering Vogelbach is also under team control.
  3. The unnecessary mic intrusion was almost worth it for the "uh-oh" from DeJong (wrong Paul initially, not Goldschmidt) on the Vogelbomb
  4. Maybe if he had exciting stuff, but watching Lauer struggle to locate 83 mph fastballs and make me count out a pitch clock adds insult to injury.
  5. I wish they would invest in one dedicated #2 guy next year who can do the play by play whenever BA cuts out. They're literally on the fourth option. The Jace Peterson of broadcasting if you will.
  6. Another uphill battle considering there is exactly zilch for position prospects expected to arrive from the minors. Throwing knuckleballs and capturing the hearts of Yankees fans at age 40. Bless him.
  7. Probaby best to go to Rasmussen next. Looks like we may have to use Black or see if Lauer learned anything in Appleton to get through this one.
  8. Lindblom for four, Rasmussen for two, Claudio for one. We will also require six runs of support.
  9. Something bold may be needed. With Suter starting and Peralta inactive the bullpen goes from great to sketchy quickly.
  10. Was going to ask what it takes to move him. Guessing we get a bag of baseballs and have to eat a chunk of salary along with it. I'm good rolling with Taylor, and with Cain back there's no place for Garcia.
  11. Something up physically all night. Doesn't seem like it just came about this inning. Brewers luck.
  12. I think it's extremely unlikely, but I envision the scenario where we take 3 then have to sit around Monday watching St. Louis beat Detroit in a double header to eliminate us. That seems the most Fate of a Brewers Fan of outcomes.
  13. I know the he's 23, hurt in offseason, missed camp, good minor league track record stuff is true, but the concern still surfaces when Urias is benched for a Sogard, Peterson, Arcia infield and it's probably the right call.
  14. Literally every other game worked to our advantage tonight. Still a chance! This guy is just horrible... We might be best off just keeping Nottingham and Pina next year to be honest. Would the Brewers be able to option him? He may be destined for a long AAA stretch to begin next season while Pina Nottingham duo start the season. Hadn't even considered that, but yes, they can. He's also arbitration eligible, so they could decide to pull a Schoop and decide it's not the right fit and straight up non-tender.
  15. Yep, Hiura was getting the "don't walk anyone up 5" treatment and still couldn't make contact.
  16. Poop. I can't decide if I'd rather be in it until the weekend only to fail or get our butts whooped and head to St Louis out of it. Perhaps tomorrow will be better, but we should have an idea after that.
