  1. And we can't even put Wang in when we get stomped on anymore. The shoulder tightness could have turned into shoulder fatigue with the way we're playing.
  2. After two straight at bats without doing it, he was overdue.
  3. Another game where the bats go silent after the first inning or two. Well, at least they bothered to show up at all.
  4. Really need a good right-handed bullpen option. And the answer isn't trusting Thornburg or Henderson to come off the DL and be it.
  5. This sums it up! Now we just need to figure out how to score runs. So 15 days...make it one extra week to get to 22 days, a rehab assignment stretched to 30, and Wang is conveniently back when the roster expands. Still preferred "muscle atrophy from never pitching" to shoulder tightness.
  6. Should have gone Duke. Better recently, and the inherited runner specialist. Oh well, weren't going to win anyway.
  7. It's the Cardinals. His backup will hit .340 and a call a no-hitter while he's out.
  8. Game Time 2:15 Nothing like not even showing up against Fausto Carmona...er, Roberto Hernandez.
  9. I don't get how someone can pull weak grounders to short every at bat and not change anything.
  10. This lineup might still be too good to score runs. Get Bianchi in there for Ramirez and we'll go off for sure.
  11. Thinking every fly ball is going out only to have it not even make the warning track has diminished his perception.
  12. Wouldn't the discussion on infield shifts/positioning and stat screens behind it be worthwhile before a game, where they aren't trying to juggle between the game going on? Would be a better pregame presentation than Davey stammering away.
  13. One of those where I kind of wish he was out...but then I realize he wouldn't learn from it anyway.
  14. Looks like Memphis to Milwaukee flights connect via O'Hare. Mike Fiers should be landing sometime tomorrow.
  15. Braun could have sat down on the bag in pain and we'd be in better shape. When you're a AAAA player, at least know how to run the bases.
  16. If he pitches Saturday, will he still be good to go for the Home Run Derby on Monday? Several hitters are dying to know.
  17. Nelson is only starting the AAA All-Star Game and the leading vote-getter for the PCL.
  18. Schafer in CF, Reynolds RF, Overbay 1B? Suddenly I'm not feeling well either.
  19. A few mentions on this "All Snub Team". Scooter the 2B pick, Braun an OF pick, and Duke as an "also considered" for RP. http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/eye-on-baseball/24609604/all-snub-team-national-league
  20. Suppose Roenicke is banking on Segura's 7 for 16 on Latos. But without Braun I still agree the better move would seem to be sliding everyone up a spot.
  21. Nice to see Khrush back. The bottom half last night made me gag, and having him back does the most to change that.
  22. Shafer's hitting was crummy during his assignment. Huge defensive upgrade over Herrera though. Problem with Velez is he's been playing LF most of the time, with some 2B thrown in...no SS or 3B. Same thing with Hermida in CF, he's exclusively a corner guy, playing RF in Nashville. Think Roenicke does enough mix and matching with unfamiliar positions already. Pete Orr is probably the best option in Nashville to take Bianchi's spot...though I'd take the ball girl over Bianchi.
  23. No need to be choosey; most incompetent backup infielders are better than Bianchi.
  24. Wang ERA down to 11.40. First to happen: Wang's ERA reaches single digits, or Bianchi actually gets a hit?
