https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/48305211/2026-mlb-abs-challenge-system-tracker-team-player-rankings Sanchez 4th in batter challenges despite 200 fewer ABS than anyone above him. The lowest win percentage on the entire list.

Seems excessive. Very much doubt he was getting second base there.

Seems like this park has played decently in previous games:

Also seems that unlike double headers it may be restricted to position players? Which provides little value. Our only pitching option would have been Koenig, but another bullpen arm would still tend to be more useful. Braves choice is...Brewer Hicklen.

0.43 ERA in 13 career appearances. Other than the Angels (scoreless in two appearances) more a full run better against us than the next best team.

Nice job by Bauers to give us the lead and single-handedly take two innings off of Perez's outing.

11 straight and 26 of 27 scoreless. Incredible.
  9. folly412
Ugh. Can't see that playing. Crow just pitched yesterday.
  10. folly412
Would have preferred Anderson or even going to Megill for 4 outs to that. Good to escape with the lead.

I fully understand why in spring training the coaches tried to put up a "stoplight" paper sign in the dugout to let players know when it was and wasn't an acceptable situation to challenge.

Suter has a 0.49 ERA in 12 career appearances against us. Other than being scoreless in 2 career outings against the Angels it's by far his best against any opponent.

Day game today, day game tomorrow to accommodate travel to a gimmick night game on Sunday. Super lame.
  14. folly412
Wait till we get tomorrow's "pointless day game on a Friday" energy.
  15. folly412
Great work here. Many close pitches that are balls and they aren't chasing.
  16. folly412
I forgot about him. Thought it was supposed to be "a couple of weeks" before he was back. Looks like a bullpen on Friday, then a rehab assignment so it'll basically be a month.
  17. folly412
Maybe we can do the opposite of everyone else and only let our pitchers challenge. They can't be any worse.
  18. folly412
This one's on the Mariners. That was the sorriest performance I can remember.

    SV: Sanchez (1)

They should open the roof and end the game early due to rain.
  21. folly412
Lara's gonna tell his grandkids his first homer was a walk-off against a tough knuckleballer.
  22. folly412
It it makes sense, being down 11-0 never looks good but the Mariners are somehow looking particularly brutal.

    Sluggy!

Hook should have brought a towel and a new jersey to the mound the way Harrison is sweating.
