    Ryan Braun now has 12 career seasons with double-digit home run and stolen base totals. The most such seasons by a Brewer as Molitor and Yount have 9.

    Buuuuuut, Santana isn’t better and we got a good pitching prospect. On top of that, Gamel has out performed Santana vs. LHP.

    Can we not wreck this thread with this stuff? I get that it’s fun to see the show this poster has become but this is one thread, one damn thread, that is dedicated to something positive around this place.

    Zavolas named Carolina League Pitcher of the Year: Noah Zavolas is top two in the league ERA, IP, WHIP, BB/9, K/BB, FIP and xFIP. Meanwhile both Gamel and Santana have slowed offensively. Santana has hit the IL and carries a .256/.332/.449/.781 slash line. Santana is listed as a .4 bWAR and a .3 fWAR this season. Gamel has seen very little playing time lately as Braun is smoking hot as well as having the emergence of Grisham. Gamel for the season has a .243/.330/.376/.706 slash line and has a .4 bWAR and a .7 fWAR this season. When you throw in the production Braun has given us as a starter this season as well as carrying a 1.4 bWAR and 1.5 fWAR I think it’s been a good trade for Stearns so far.

    Yeah, he’s all over the place with just about everything. Even when called on it, he just pushes through, doubles down, and comes up with something even crazier to change the narrative. It truly is an art form.

    No, that's not what I said. Not even close. Of course the GM is trusted to spend money wisely. He wouldn't be the GM if he wasn't. What he doesn't have is some arbitrary spending cap that he needs to get as close to as possible, as you seem to imply. There are parameters for sure, but I highly doubt they are hard. If they determine a player provides a value to them, they'll work to bring him on board. Exactly this. Although I’m sure no matter what is said that makes complete sense Brew Crew 92 will just spit back budget numbers that he has no clue about. You don’t spend just to spend. It’s never made sense. It has to fit and be good deals. Stearns seems to understand that and that’s all I care about. Not some guy on the internet scheming up imaginary budgets.
