  1. I know Pina was close when he almost homered to RF the other night. Hopefully, this kick starts his season as Grandal is going to need breaks.
  2. I'm not watching this game. But general question. If they have the minor league director, or whatever brass in for a half inning and it goes quickly, why do they not have them stay for another half inning? There can't be that tight a schedule on these guys. I don't get that at all. Especially if the game isn't that tight. A very good question that I have asked myself before.
  3. It was always kind of surprising there weren't more Brewers asked up to the booth to talk about their time as a Brewer. It usually has to be someone like Yount or Fielder for it to happen. I'm interested in some of the better players in our history and the stories they have during their time playing.
  4. Right, Shaw does not need to be benched, he needs to be getting ABs in AAA...maybe not yet but were getting close. Agreeing to disagree. I’m one that doesn’t jump the gun on proven players.
  5. Drew Rasmussen is pitching in A ball right now. Why is he even being discussed for a playoff roster spot? Falling in love with prospects is one thing but my lord is this just absolutely crazy. Let the guy develop and work his way through the system at least.
  6. Thought for sure my Blues were going to get 60 pucks on net and only score one goal. What a win!
  7. Claudio isn't going anywhere. He's pitched fine and we gave up value to get him.
  8. I generally agree, but the majors is not the place for people who "need" at bats. That is what AAA is for...looking at you Travis '31% K rate' Shaw Well, for a guy that is major league proven, sometimes they only way to get out of those funks are by getting MLB at bats. Not too many guys come out of slumps by riding the pines.
  9. I don't see the need to rush it. Let him keep doing what he's doing in AAA while we continue to win games at the major league level. His time will come. Jamming him up in our lineup and taking away at-bats to others that need it just doesn't make much sense to me right now. It's a great position to be in because a decade ago, he'd be up already and we wouldn't have any depth around him. Times have changed in our organization.
  10. My head hurts again...
  11. Don’t give them credit for being smart enough to figure those types of this out. Cubs fans are duuuuuuumb.
  12. Channeling my inner Clancy: Shaw to 1B, Hiura to 2B, Moustakas to 3B, Thames to RF, Yelich to CF
  13. Does he have options?
  14. It’s almost as if you didn’t enjoy his masterpiece of a game last night. Here’s hoping to many more those types of posts this year. It will mean good things are happening.
  15. Cain might be the one they need to start giving more days off to. Over his last 100 at bats he’s slashing .221/.270/.356/.626 and against RHP this year he’s slashing .245/.310/.321/.631. His OPS plus sits currently at 89 and we know his exit velo has been league average at best. Now, Cain’s defense puts him in a different category than most but some start against RHP for Gamel or Yelich in CF with Cain coming in to replace wouldn’t be the worst thing right now.
  16. OPS a few ticks shot of .800 from .606 to .797 in 4 days
