  1. Putting good defense out there with Chacin on the mound.
  2. Seth Lugo would be a nice get.
  3. Good point Adam. [sarcasm]We should probably make Perez a 1B only on our team then.[/sarcasm]
  4. Shaw would probably be one heck of a first basemen. Not that he’s bad at 3B but he’d probably be a gold glove type of guy over there.
  5. Perez sucks to have in a complete starting role. Those stats you list are great if he ever cared to learn the strike zone and be patient with it. His hot streaks are great. They should ride this one out. He’s an asset on the base paths. But his inability to stay consistent and get on base hurts most of the value he brings. Is he an upgrade from Arcia? That’s not hard at this point. A combination of Miller and Perez is probably the best this team can do right now. It should help that position not be such a black hole. It would leave us with only one true black hole, catcher. And they seem to refuse to accept Pina just not being that good.
  6. It’s more of a response to people digging their heels in on a player they’ve probably watched play like three times in their lives. I mean he was acquired by Stearns and sent to AAA to start at SS. What other signs would some like to prove he is most likely going to get a shot at SS when ready?
  7. Brad Miller continues to show he isn't the present or future at SS. Glad they sent him to AAA to prove how horrible he is there. I actually would love if the Brewers give up any hope of him playing SS and just have Miller replace Sogard on the roster. The Brewers can just do what they did yesterday with Perez at SS until/if they get an actual upgrade at SS. Perez being hot right now buys Miller time to get acclimated. It won’t last. Perez is what he is. We will see Miller soon.
  8. I guess you have to beat the drum that you actually get right. Throw enough crap at the wall and eventually something sticks.
  9. Clemente this might be one of the worst takes I’ve seen in awhile. Why would you require a surgery that he may not need? Doesn’t add up.
  10. Guess I should’ve stayed tune to this one. Or maybe it’s better I didn’t. Talk about a tease.
  11. Braun on in the 8th to hit that bases empty grand slam.
  12. So you don’t think Aguilar is in a bit of a slump? Just curious. Brewers batters: Name[space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space]OPS+ Jesus Aguilar[space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space]137 Christian Yelich*[space][/space][space][/space][space][/space]127 Travis Shaw*[space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space]124 Lorenzo Cain[space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space]124 Ryan Braun[space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space]99 Jonathan Villar#[space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space]95 Domingo Santana [space][/space][space][/space]83 Manny Pina[space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space]66 Orlando Arcia[space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space][space][/space]36 Seems pretty silly to be questioning Aguilar's slump given even after his poor start to June he is still our best batter... So you can’t be in a slump if you just have one humongous month during the course of the year? I’ll remember that one. Come on now. He’s in a slump. (Maybe even breaking out today) It’s not the end of the world to acknowledge it. It’s not even a terrible one.
  13. Hader should have been a starter anyways. He will never max out his value in the pen. An argument for a different day...
  14. RBIs are not a great way to judge a guy. It’s great that he’s driving them in but it’s probably more so about his place in the lineup than much of else. Oh and plenty have talked about Shaw. I’ve even mentioned he shouldn’t start against lefties.
  15. So you don’t think Aguilar is in a bit of a slump? Just curious.
  16. As the bullpen begins to falter a bit, it will be interesting to see if they can fight through it and continue winning.
  17. Not sure Taylor Williams is ready to take that jump to prime time. Easy to say after a bad outing but walks for him will be his kryptonite.
  18. Your numbers are a bit off. Maybe that is why you are confused. BA- .167 over the last 14 days BA- .221 over the last 28 days
  19. I’ll speak for myself on this since I believe I made the comment today. Aguilar has done a very nice job delivering runners. No one can dispute that. But his “slump” is a lot longer than 3 days. He hasn’t walked much or hit much for about a months worth of at bats. So yes, he’s coming back to reality. At least for me, he’s not an everyday player type but a guy you can rely on for some starts and some great pinch hits. That’s perfectly fine with me but if you’re depending on a .900 OPS from him, you’re probably going to be disappointed. Heck even a mid .800’s is probably asking too much. Again, that’s okay. He’s helped us win a lot of ball games.
  20. His reality isn’t a bad thing. It’s just not what he was doing there for a bit. His last 28’days (.221/.291/.455/.745) are below what I would expect from him in terms of average and on base.
  21. Great. Glad you two are on board with scoring more runs. Guess you missed the IGT yesterday and all those comments. You must love conflict. Literally no reason for you to jump at me over anything I said. #1, as you and I both know, the IGT is always based on spur of the moment reactions, #2, why are you posting those offensive concerns here then in the Logan thread? #3, sorry you feel jumped on over this and that I am seeking conflict. Didn't think that pointing out that we were all just discussing Logan's future as is appropriate in this thread and mentioning no one was saying Counsell cost us the game here was really all that bad. Agreed that IGT are usually hot takes. And it was just a comment to point out that our offense is much more of the overall problem than a Boone Logan is. If they ever figure out how to be consistent, I’m not sure what we will even have to complain about around here. I also did respond with an explanation as to why we probably saw Boone get an opportunity yesterday. It might be his last in those types of situations depending on how far Stearns/Counsell want to keep going down this hole when there are obviously better options.
