  1. Good signing. Very good.
  2. Wasn't sure where to put this but this was a great read on Ryan Braun, so here from jsonline: D'Amato: Ryan Braun's legacy complicated
  3. I wonder if Lance Kendricks is on the Packers radar instead of signing Cook. They seem to be similar players. Maybe Kendricks would be cheaper route?
  4. All this is fine and dandy and I think most would agree with you but also most would agree that there are more creative ways to improve this team. Signing Perry again doesn't jump this team up a notch. Might help keep it where it's at but it doesn't make that defense much better if any. The previous post to yours laid out what the Patriots have done so far and that's a team fresh off the Super Bowl. Why can't we use other avenues to improve this team? If TT is not creative enough, time to move on to someone else. OK, so would have letting Perry walk been better? And did I miss something? Is the offseason done? Okay take a step away from the computer and breath man. Where did I ever say it would be better to let Perry walk? People are just tired of the status quo around Packerland and to be honest, they have valid points. We have had two, HOF QB's every since the mid 90's with two Super Bowls to show for it. While that is great, we can strive for better. These opportunities do not last for ever and people realize that. The fact we are even toying around with the idea of letting Cook walk is astonishing. Unless TT thinks someone like Lance Kendrick can come in and do the job? I don't know. And the other points I made were about being creative. Trade a damn pick to get a cornerback in here. Be creative. Use a point of strength on our team and fill a weakness. All things that TT really refuses to do or just is too bland to do. Not sure which one is the truth on that but either way, it could help our situation out quite a bit. Either way, stop trying to force your thoughts down others throats with attempting what you did above.

  6. I would be all for the Packers signing a top CB in free agency if there was one out there. Just not sure there is. It's where the draft and develop comes into play.
  7. Not too mad he is about to get paid big time himself again. I honestly think the only reason he is even bringing up restructure is because most of the free agent money never gets used anyways so he might as well get paid as a or the top QB in the league. If TT came to him and said here is our plan to sign A, B, and or C. I think Rodgers would be a lot more willing to have a team friendly deal in place to try to win the whole thing each and every year. TT is stuck in his own way on this one. Good thing for that extreme hot streak a few years ago or this would really be a sad way to use one of the best QB's the league has ever seen.
  8. Wonder how mad Rodgers will be if/when Cook is a Lion instead of a Packer.
  9. I'm no Kirk fan but getting worked up about a 1-16 start in spring training is the most absurd thing i've read all day. I sure wish they mattered, as the Brewers currently have 11 players with an OPS of 1.000 of greater, and another three over .900. [sarcasm]Move over Shaw, Erceg is our new starting 3B![/sarcasm]
  10. Nice that is was against a lefty too!
  11. Disliking Kirk on the team is one thing but using his spring training stats as the metric to decide whether he should be our 4th/5th outfielder is not the way to go about it.
  12. Showing why low level conferences like this shouldn't have conf tourneys. You would think they would want to send their best team to the tourney to represent the conference. I mean good for UWM if they can pull this off, but ultimate example of why these tourneys are a bad idea.
  13. I've always thought the best way to figure out the stock market a bit is to pick a company or industry you already know something about. Like if you are in to video games. Which company do you think is coming out with content ahead of its time. Take that company and start researching it more. Than compare it to some other companies and figure out which one has the best long term potential. If you already know a lot about the topic, it's much easier to start to figure out which companies might be good stocks to target. I would highly suggest that your first purchase (or couple) should be companies that you want to own longer term. It's much more complicated to go in with the mindset that you are only looking to buy and then sell a week later for a profit. Look for something you can hold for a couple years because you think their long term potential is there. Next bit of advice is don't overreact to news once you own the stock. If you sell every time a bit of bad news comes out, you will lose. If the main reasons you picked the stock in the first place, haven't changed, you should continue to believe in that company. Just my two cents, but I think diving in to something you already enjoy and have some opinion on, can make this very enjoyable. Thanks. I appreciate the advice and it sounds like a solid idea. Maybe that is where I will start.
  14. Most rewarding, and the most frustrating thing in existence. If you try it you will likely lose money to start, but get a strategy down that fits you (it's different for everyone) and stick to it. Mine is small cap biotechs. Obey max loss tolerance at all costs and bail when it's obvious to, don't "hope" for it to turn around. As long as you keep yourself in the game and don't blow up you will succeed and feel achievement you've never felt before. Oh...and don't fall for the "gurus" selling services. There are a few really good people out there that want to show you the way, but stay 100 miles away from anything that says "rich" and "fast," or "turned X into XXXX in a few months." It doesn't work that way out of the gate. I feel like my first step would be buying a playing the stock market book for dummies. Just to understand more of the lingo.
  15. I've always wanted to play the stock market a bit but I'm not even sure where I would start.
  16. Nice win tonight for the seniors but it does only cover up the horrendous free throw shooting for another night. That is going to end our season sooner, rather than later. #2 seed in the tourney and hopefully get another crack at Iowa on Friday night. Owe them one.
  17. I think Koenig is more hurt than is being told. I think Hayes has an ego the size of Alaska. His leadership ability on this team has shown throughout this season. He's soft and plays like it when it matters. Cannot wait for him to graduate. Can't say that enough.
  18. Why in the world would we want to? Dude was a complete ass while being here. Hard pass.
  19. Swihart wasn't even a catcher in high school. He's just that athletic that they made the move there because they thought his bat would play. His catching ability is very raw but on a team like the Brewers they would have a longer leash for him than on the Sox trying to win a pennant.
  20. The Badgers team reflects the senior leadership of Hayes. Nonchalant players are infectious and it has killed this Badger team. Can't wait until he graduates and I can forget he ever was a Badger.
  21. I still want Swihart. Allow him to roam the corner OF's and backup our catcher.
  22. I think a lot of people are giving up on Santana and I'm not sure why? He played very well off of an injury last year and is young, very young. His exit velo is one of the tops in the league.
  23. Just like most things in life, it is too long for some and too short for others. Just need to be a smart organization and manage when players actually begin. Brewers are smart in a case like Ryan Braun. No reason for him to be there right now. Season is long enough of a grind.
  24. It is quite amazing they haven't figured that out. I imagine advertisers pay big money at the very beginning and very end during the biggest awards 99% of people care about. But they must lose a ton of audience by then, heck it's Midnight on the East Coast by the time they're done. No reason they can't condense the show to a tidy two hours. Maybe hold a smaller Oscars acceptance for the awards no one really cares about and then a two hour Oscars with the main awards with some musical performances within.
  25. The Oscars need to take a look at how they do things. There is no reason for that thing to last 3+ hours.
