  1. Maybe they did. I don't agree with their moves though. Is that still okay to do? Or do I have to bend over to every move a GM makes because they have that title? I think the Dodgers have pissed away opportunity after opportunity with endless funds and resources. I continue to feel that way based on their moves today. Adding a bat like Braun would be a step forward for them. They may not want to take on the salary but there is definitely ways to be creative to do so.
  2. And the Cubs will never win the World Series because they're cursed, and a small market team like the Royals will never win the World Series... any others? I don't think I've ever said either of those two statements above. Anyone can win a World Series. Any franchise. It's been proven too many times for it not to happen. Eventually the Brewers will luck into one as well. I just don't think the Dodgers realize their window with a pitcher like Kershaw. They have a few more years of the dominance if he stays healthy. If they don't make the corresponding moves to go in for a World Series, they will regret it greatly.
  3. Did I dream it or were they actually up 2 games to 1 over the Cubs in the NCLS a few months ago? Couldn't you make the argument though that Braun's bat in the middle of that lineup could have made the difference in that series? Maybe the Dodgers are WS champs right now if they had pulled the trigger on the Brewers demands for a Braun trade back in August? We'll never know of course. They'll continue to be the bridesmaid. Never the bride.
  4. All of her scenes were already shot for this movie before she passed away.
  5. If they don't start creating a different story line and just re-create 4-5-6, I'll be done. It was fine to do with #7 because it needed a reboot to the Star Wars franchise but there is no reason to continue down that road. Be creative. Stop trying to make a buck off of the crazy Star Wars fans who will show up no matter what.
  6. No matter what we did on defense, if we ONLY use the draft, there is a good chance that there would be holes. You HAVE to use all the resources out there to give this team the best chance to win. We've been lucky that McCarthy, Capers, Rodgers are all amazing at what they do, or this team would truly stink.
  7. The Dodgers will continue to put out good teams because they have endless money to spend but they won't win any World Series. Dumb franchise.
  8. Montgomery avg 5.9 per carry Lacy avg 5.1 per carry Ripkowski 4.4 per carry And I might be wrong but Montgomery lead the league in yards after contact average. To me it's more of a won't do that a can't do. Maybe some of that is Rodgers but McCarthy needs to stick to the run a bit longer in games.
  9. I've been alluding to this with my many 3-4/nickel comments. Clay is ineffective in the DE role he's been playing out of the nickel. He either needs to move inside, or we need to try playing a 3-4. But really, 4-3, 3-4...it doesn't matter. We played Nickel or Dime seemingly every down all season. And free agency can't solve our problems. Good players in the NFL don't reach free agency. Plus it's hard to evaluate players, as many are products of their systems. We can add a few solid backups or fringe starters, but it's rare to find impactful players given the CBA Name the top 5 free agent CB's. All five are better than what we have.
  10. You have to make an attempt at running the ball. The Packers don't. They say they want to but rarely stick to it.
  11. The Dodgers. Lol. The Dodgers...
  12. I don't think the title rules that out. It might just be a tip of the cap to Luke and his final journey.
  13. Clay Matthews need to develop another move than run around the right tackle as fast as he can. The QB just takes a step up in the pocket and Clay is usually found out of the play at that point. It was pretty pathetic to watch yesterday. A guy who used to be somewhat elite, make very little impact if any at all.
  14. If they don't resign Cook, I'll be at a loss for words. On the defensive side, is there any free agents to be that would help plug holes? I know that's not TT's biggest thing but can be fun to think about.
  15. Atlanta has been doing this all year on offense. I'll give them their credit they deserve.
  16. Game day! And everyone is playing, Jordy included. It will be interesting to see how long some of these guys last and how effective they will be. Go Pack Go!!
  17. Hidden Figures was awesome. The fact that it's a story most have never heard is so sad for women and for black people. Just shows how distorted history can be.
  18. I think I'd consider NE's defense is one of the tops in the league and they may just win it this year.
  19. I'd be on board. Not sure it's realistic but he'd be a guy worth tossing a one year deal to and allowing Susac to work with him.
  20. Flu bug hit the Steelers and Packers? Ish.
  21. Didn't we have interest in Michael Saunders though? I don't remember seeing that anywhere. And it wouldn't make any sense to me. Saunder is not a Stearns guy at all and then factoring in the loss of a draft pick and I don't see why they would have had any interest. http://www.brewcrewball.com/2017/1/17/14298762/brewers-michael-saunders-free-agency
  22. I don't know but maybe there should've been one on the interstate to work today. Saw one laying on the side of the road.
  23. With Randall playing last week it was like playing 10 on 11.
  24. Wasn't there a zone play where Witten caught a ball in between Peppers and someone else (maybe Brice)? I remember Peppers turning into the middle covering absolutely no one while the pass was complete to his outside.
