  1. Not trying to be ignorant but why hasn't Arcia learned English in his time in the minor leagues? They mentioned he has an interpreter in one of the articles unless I read it wrong. Just seems like it would be a very good thing for him to do.
  2. Brinson and Arcia on the opening day roster next year is a very exciting thing to think about.
  3. Interesting you'd have Brinson up over Phillips when Brinson is in AAA and Phillips in AA.
  4. Lol, come on you guys. While Brinson might become the best player in baseball, he could always amount to nothing. It's way to early to judge this trade.
  5. Good thing both can play at the same time then. Whew! Thought we had a real issue there.
  6. Footwork can be fixed. Weak arm, not so much.
  7. Arcia is going nowhere.
  8. I hope he continues to be aggressive. We take that away and we take a big weapon of ours away. I just hope they continue to show him the tapes and talk through these things with him.
  9. He was a young man who like a lot of us, went through a hard time and picked himself up. It was really fun to see his progress and move to the closers role and dominate this year. I hope he and Luc win one this year in Texas and maybe we'll reconnect down the road with Mr. Jeffress when we are ready to cause some damage of our own!
  10. This mainly falls on Villar but I agree. Sedar looked like he was doing nothing to help him out. Oh I completely agree with it being on Villar there. Just don't understand Cedar doing absolutely nothing.
  11. and Neiwuenhuis. Get Wren on a plane. Flores and Niewenhuis aren't even comparable. Kirk isn't going anywhere as they will continue to play him and hopefully trade him if/when he clears waivers.
  12. Scooter swings and a 3-0 pitch and pops out to left. Why would he EVER get a green light on 3-0? Silliness.
  13. Braun with a great diving catch. He may need another week off after that one.
  14. Watched the play live and replay, why wasn't Cedar flapping his arms, jumping up and down, screaming- on the bag, on the bag! The guy just sucks as a base coach.
  15. My point was none of the guys you listed will play over Perez if he continues to hit. Once he stops, he'll be replaced. It's truly have at simple. Arcia is ready to go defensively and is in the long term plans of this organization. They didn't want to wait until opening day next year for him to get his feet wet. Guys like Villar, who is having an awesome season, and Perez who has been scorching hot as of late completely understand this. Only we as fans sit here and dream up these things that these players are thinking. They are professionals. If they produce, they play. Simple as that.
  16. 1B- Braun 2B- Villar 3B- Erceg SS- Arcia LF- Ray CF- Brinson RF- Phillips
  17. How would it get nixed? He's played a game for them and passes the physicals needed. Just happened with the Padres and Marlins. Not quite. The Padres didn't have to do squat and neither do the Brewers.
  18. Why is Scooter, or Santana, or Wren(?!?) just given his spot? If Perez continues to perform, he'll play. It's that simple. Worrying about feelings after calling up your top prospect seems a bit odd to me. The best players will play.
  19. I think long term he is our 2B moving forward. It just happens that we still have Scooter, who is not athletically gifted to play anywhere else. This coupled with a black hole in the OF that Perez is trying to fill and you get Villar at 3B. Either way, I don't think it will kill his value as a SS if someone see's and wants him to be one.
  20. Braun smoked that ball. Perez gets it in the hole just enough and Carter smashed a double down the line. Nice start to the 6th!
  21. Two at bats and I can't stand Arcia's stance. Just seems like a very uneccessary way to bat.
  22. How would it get nixed? He's played a game for them and passes the physicals needed.
  23. It is not impossible to have a good year in BC but here are three players and what they did in BC. In 2008 Lucroy hit .292/.364/.479/.843, Cain hit .287/.358/.448/.806, and in 2006 Braun hit .274/.346/.438/.784. Not bad but at A+ you are looking for a little bit more especially with top prospects but BC does sap the power of RH batters just look at Braun's 2006 numbers for proof as that was the lowest OPS Braun put up in all of his years in the minors. Thank you both. Always wondered what people were referring to.
  24. so much of this!!! Why is Brevard Co so hard to hit in? Just curious.
