    Well at least I don't feel the need to stay up late and finish this one out. Dang does Lohse suck. He'd get smacked around in the Northwoods League.

    They might also feel they will get more in value during the winter meetings than right now. He won't finish out his contract with the Brewers but he may not be moved by July 31st.

    No, they are afraid of the PR backlash from the transaction. No way. Just not a chance that holds back an organization.

    Lind available to PH tonight and Peterson is playing 1B tonight who has hit very well this season. No reason to make a move unless Lind will be out for awhile.

    I have interest in him... as our next pitching coach. Hopefully he'll realize the dream is over and work beside Counsell next year.

    Personally I've always been against a complete rebuild. Just don't feel it's necessary. That said, there a guys we definitely should move right now (Parra, Broxton, Cotts), and there are guys that probably should be moved by next year (Lind, Segura, Gomez, Lucroy, Garza). We need Tyrone Taylor, Reed to come through in the OF and we need Arcia to be the real deal at SS. A catcher is going to have to be signed or traded for most likely as well as 1B and maybe even 3B. But there are definitely ways to put a team out to win even next year.

    +1 Finally someone else who is on my train. While Lucroy is likable, he's not anywhere near the face of the franchise. Braun was and still is. Like it or not.

    Why wouldn't someone have traded for him? Yes he had a poor start to the year but so did many of the Brewers including the golden boy Lucroy (who still is sucking). The dude can hit and usually tears it up later in seasons. Good move for the Pirates.

    Yes, best wishes to Aramis. He actually really did live up to the contract and he was nothing but a professional in MKE.

    I agree. I have a feeling the only one who will be traded will be Parra. I just don't think Doug is going to let Gomez go for anything less than a major haul. Which, why should he. There isn't any incentive for him to just dump him. Gomez is a premier talent and is signed through next year. I want to think Ramirez and someone like a Cotts will go but I just feel Doug's price is going to be high across the board. If it's between keeping Ramirez, letting him retire as a Brewer and some C-level prospect we'd get, I'll take getting to watch him wack away the last two months and enjoying a true professional.

    I agree with not writing demeaning posts. I just don't think it's helping when you see a moderator write a mocking type post towards someone. Doesn't help set the tone. MrTPlush adds value like other posters. Mistakes happen and hopefully he'll change his tune and continue to make this the best place for Brewers discussion.

    So hard to judge the return but it feels as though it should've been more. Makes you wonder what we should truly expect for the guys we are trading. Or I should say, trying to trade.

    Seriously though, it was unfunny and condescending. Which seems to be a pattern with you. So are things like this. Not needed to make your point. Feel like we should expect more from a moderator.

    Gotta be disheartening to a team that has pulled itself off the mat and has been playing very well as of late to know this is what they'll get every 5th game.
