We need this game. Losing 3 of 4 from the Cubs is not what playoff teams do at this point. The Cubs have played well but we need to figure out a way to get this game won and get out with a split.

Jimmy Rollins placed on Waivers

Hardy isn't coming near Milwaukee. -
I think Melvin feels as though Rogers will be the guy there next season as he is really coming along in the minors this season. That's the hold up because he'd have Morneau for more years than just this one. Just speculation...
-
Please take 3 of 4... Makes the Dodgers series easier looking for only 1 win.
-
Well I think this one is what it is. Taking 2 of 3 is nice. With the Pirates about to lose, it'd sure be nice if the Orioles had a comeback win today. Gotta win 3 of 4 in Chicago.
-
Try one, fine. But a second attempt? Stupid.
-
They're starting to get to Jimmy. Hopefully RR has someone getting loose.

This is taught at the high school level so that you know where the ball will be. This helps you if there is a fly ball, passed ball, etc... It really doesn't slow you down and can really help you.

Gomez might've been out but the camera angle might not allow it to be seen.

I went to all of the NLDS games in 2011. The atmosphere here in Phoenix vs Milwaukee was night and day. It gave me goosebumps how loud and into it everyone was at Miller Park. Lucky guy. Even though I am in New Mexico now, if they somehow get to the world series, I'm going. There is no question about that.
-
All I know is Miller Park is electric this time of year when the Brewers are in a pennant race. I know other parks are as well but there is just something about Wisconsin fans.
-
I shouldn't say this, but I will... boy would it be nice if Fiers just finished this thing. A bullpen saver would be huge out of your call up pitcher.

There is a dispute over dodger TV rights making Dodger games limited even in the LA market. Most people in the LA market can't even watch the dodgers. Only people with Time Warner can get the new Sports Net LA and it's not even the primary cable company in LA and is not even available in parts of Southern California. Wow, did not know this. That is completely insane.

Plus winning today is setting up for a shot at a sweep against a very good team, maybe the best team in the National League. Their manager already mentioned how good he thinks we are and mentioned a possible sweep in his pre game quotes so it's already in the back of his mind. Statement time for the Brewers. We don't need no stinkin $250 million payroll!

I don't think we could, can we? I thought this is his last year and we have a $15 mil option if we want to pick it up or not.
-
I am now living in Albuquerque, NM so I don't get the live game feed for this pre season game. I wasn't going to drop $20 for the pre season pass online. I feel as though my NFL package should already include that. Fiers throwing the ball very well tonight. Makes me think he could be our #5 next season if needed (Garza, Lohse, Peralta, Nelson, Fiers with letting Gallardo walk instead of paying him $15 mil.)
-
Yeah, pretty dead in here tonight. I guess people can't post, watch the Brewers and watch the Packers at the same time!
-
I'll never count the Cards out until they are officially eliminated but yeah it feels as though the Pirates are picking up steam.
-
Should've kept Herrera in the 8 hole with the lefty bat and then Segura play tomorrow vs. Kershaw. I know Seguras numbers are better afainst RHP but Herreras bat is better right now and he's pretty good on D. Sure would be nice to knock Greinke around tonight.
-
Rickie has helped this team a lot lately. Nice to see him looking pretty good again. Might as well put Wang in.
-
This. This is the reason Gomez goes to third. Makes the catcher take the out, we get the run.
-
Doesn't apply to the situation.
-
You make them cut and throw to 3rd to secure the run. Smart play, teach that to my high schoolers. Play would have been very close at home. Simple trading an out for a run.

Can the pen hold up? Yikes. Guess we'll find out.
