  1. Correct. I’m not the one taking a stand that he’s never going to be a power hitter though. The other poster is. I’ve actually acknowledged that I don’t know where he will end up as a hitter. My original post was that he may want to see how this year plays out as Urias is entering his age 24 season. And as another poster noted, he hopefully will have a healthy wrist and no covid. Can you ever post and not be a troll? Or at least get better at it?
  2. Urias is 24 and has shown no power outside of the PCL. I'm taking the data he's given us and applying it to his projection. There's nothing that indicates he's going to be the guy he was in the PCL. Nothing. But you can keep your "wait and see" approach, I'll take the concrete data. And, yes, you can talk power on 16-20 year olds anyways, otherwise why have FV grades? Some kids don't have power frames or swings and it's evident no matter how old they are. There's a reason Urias's power grades are below average and always have been. Fun fact: Robin Yount never hit over 10 HR’s until he was 24 years old. Same with Christian Yelich. I would have loved to see your posts on their power.
  3. Say the Brewers offer 2yr-$20M and the Dodgers are 2yr-$18M. I could see him eventually taking less to stay in LA and possibly finishing out his time there.
  4. I’d probably wait to see this season before making any sort of statements like this. Yeah, no. I'm using data available to everyone to make a realistic prediction. There's nothing wrong with heeding caution on a prospect. Outside of the PCL, Urias has shown no power. That's a fact. If he's going to have any value, he needs to cut down the K's and be the OBP machine he was AA and down. He needs to be in that 12-15% K rate, not 22-25%. I’m as cautious as they come with prospects but talking power numbers when a kid is 16-20 years old is just silly. He might stink, he might be great, he might be average but it won’t be because of some data you think you understand.
  5. I’d probably wait to see this season before making any sort of statements like this.
  6. Arcia just entered his prime. While I don’t like using last years stats, he was a pretty good player in that mess of a season. Hopefully, he’s ready to take off and be a solid contributor with the bat now.
  7. Steelers Get: 2021 first round 2021 sixth round 2022 first round Jace Sternberger Packers Get: TJ Watt Derek Watt That get it done? Not sure there’s really any need for Derek as Degura and Dafney are good football players.
  8. Exciting, but scary. He’s older. He could very easily stink. We already have that in Cain as well. We have a mega-star that stunk in the covid season as we as our only real young talent in Hiura who has some big warts. This could all work out and the crew could be right in the mix but what a house of cards we have going on the offensive side of things. That being said, sign Turner and get yourself somewhat of a complete lineup to go along with a good pitching core.
  9. Buccaneers here he comes!
  10. I don't disagree with Shannon and have always thought of Sterling as a HOF guy. I just don't know if he ever gets the votes. It's a shame.
  11. Man. Imagine what projections we would have if we had an owner who spent some money and a GM who knew what they were doing!
  12. As nice as it would be to nab Rios, no. I don't want to take on the money with Price for what we most likely would get out of him. I don't feel like bailing the Dodgers out of that one.
  13. St. Brown would be the one to take another jump heading into next year. He lost a season a year ago to injury and was working his way back and showed glimpses of being something. He'd doesn't help the slot position but he's another field stretcher.
  14. Yeah, I think adding a WR (or two) in this years draft is a must. Need to replace/replenish in a couple of seasons from now and have guys ready to go for Love.
  15. I really love watching Aaron Rodgers play, but he's definitely a moody guy. It was in November after the loss to Minnesota that he basically said they should trade for a WR without actually saying it. Moody is a good description of him. I wonder if sometimes this moody personality hurts him when he is down in games. Often times he looks like he's given up. I know he hasn't but his body language isn't great at times and that can matter when you are the leader of a team.
  16. Yep. Exactly this. If nothing else, this season proved how much more intelligent our front office is compared to the majority of the fan base (as it should be). They allowed guys like MVS and Lazard to continue their growth as players and it paid off. Not only that but they added Funchess to help create the depth needed. It just didn't work out due to the situation of the pandemic. If Rodgers truly believes he needed WR help, he's not as intelligent as I believe him to be. Not only that but he had great RB's to include in the passing game as well as an up and coming TE and some great depth at that position as well. He should be begging for the Packers to draft defensive line / linebacking help as well as more offensive lineman if anything at all. Heck, maybe a new punter...
  17. I just can't believe that this has to be explained every offseason as to how the game of baseball works and that the best team on paper often doesn't win. I can't imagine being a fan of any team/sport and having that kind of attitude months before a season begins. Especially when we know how competitive this franchise has been over the last few years to a decade. It just doesn't compute to me.
  18. I guess we might as well not even play the season.
  19. He’s just playing hard to get. #RyanBraunForever
  20. [sarcasm]But can he play third?[/sarcasm]
  21. And I'd argue that they could have brought in better players than both Gronk and AB if they had not listened to Brady. If Rodgers had his way Nelson and Cobb would still be Packers and we would all be ticked at both of those decisions. GM's put the team on the field. This GM, two years in a row, have put together championship-level teams. I'm sure he will attempt to do the same come this fall and he doesn't need a QB telling him how to do that.
  22. Neat!! Hope we get something out of it.
  23. Yes, I should've stated that I can understand Rodgers frustration to some degree. Although, I do believe that some of the narratives about his rosters not being talented enough are overblown. I think the Packers have had some incredibly bad luck and unfortunate timing with some of their losses that have kept this franchise from winning at least one more SB if not two but hey, that is life. It also shows how incredibly hard it is to win SB's.
  24. The Packers don't ever need to listen to a player's input. Why in the world would a QB get say in roster makeup? Now, do I think they could be adding more pieces here and there to help Rodgers? Sure. But it's nuts that a player should ever have any say in the roster. There are people paid handsomely to take care of that.
  25. It’s very easy to be down on Hiura. I know I am. His approach and swing through rate is just flat out awful. Hope it improves but yikes.
