I like either one of them as a back-end of the rotation guy although I was hoping Lauer would end up in that role. It may be best to get that guy to the pen and maybe see if he can be a Suter type pen guy though.

Sorry, had to : Yeah, I love that movie and scene. I just don't buy it that more guys can't knock down a ground ball and flip it to a pitcher.

It's first base. It really isn't that hard. He will be fine there. Will he be a game-changing defensive 1B? No, probably not. But if he hits the way he can, it will all be fine and dandy.

How is 1B a "black hole" if Hiura is there? The guy can hit. It's 1B and I'm sure he will be fine there defensively.

    What’s your purpose here?
  6. pacopete4
Hiura for Jose Ramirez and I want David ******** Putney, just because I feel like it.

    More like the right time!!!

Stearns man. Love this guy. Just continues to find value. Wong will help the top half of this lineup score more runs and it will help this pitching staff keep runs off the board. If I remember correctly, the goal is to outscore the opponent and this helps a bunch. Good stuff! Now just get Braun back here as the DH and let's get after it.

I think if you're given the choice, you go NFL d-coordinator over college head coach. Not saying that some guys don't jump from college to the pros but it never seems like a great transition.

I'm sure he does have a great love for UW but you also sometimes have to branch out to move up in the world and also, money talks. He seems like a great fit for the Packers and that's not because I'm a Badgers fan. He plays an aggressive style of defense and seems to get the most from his players. That is something we can't say about the Packer's defensive coaches of late.

No thanks. I don't need to be more annoyed watching our team than I usually am.
  12. pacopete4
I'm sure awaiting the official news of the DH and then wham, he's back!
  13. pacopete4
Why would the Cards get a boost with Yadi? He's garbage.
  14. pacopete4
Give the Bears an Aaron Rodgers and they are division champs and a serious contender in the playoffs. So yes, they should do what they can to get Watson.

I think people question the qualifications of any hire but it sure feels like qualifications are brought up even more when a woman is hired for a position in sports.

Can we get Sunday 7-inning double headers please?
  17. pacopete4
    Time to trade Rodgers. Jeezuz.

You know something we don’t? I hope so!!! Just believe in the front office and ownership that they know what they’re doing. I think they’ll continue to figure out ways to compete as well as set us up for down the road.

    Patience is a virtue.
  20. pacopete4
I hear Braun is in the best shape of his life.
  21. pacopete4
So when we trading for Trevor Story?
  22. pacopete4
I mean he averages about 6 WAR per season and has finished top 5 in MVP voting 3 out of the last 5 full seasons. He's pretty great. No mile high delight to save that bat going forward. Desperation move by the Cards. They’ll finish 3rd in the division and their rabid fan base will turn on them. Some insight
  23. pacopete4
Inflated stats. Good player but not great.
  24. pacopete4
Change can be good. Change can also be bad. We shall see.
  25. pacopete4
I agree. Draft a 1B and just shove him in the MLB lineup. Now that should be in our playbook!
