  1. That would be fun but how about opposing players and coaches simply calling them out on it? Castellanos licking Yadi's boots to the press after the game was beyond weak. All you have to do is point out that the Cards and Yadi specifically are involved in by far the most bench clearing incidents every year. MLB has constantly said they want to crack down on beanball wars and especially benches clearing now because of COVID. How about they give a real punishment to the biggest instigators in all this? Suspend Molina 10 games, 20 games. And any player that leaves the dugout or bullpen or charges the mound gets the same. MLB needs to grow a pair and do something about this. Especially serial turds like Yadier Molina. Is it safe to make a guess that the White Sox will be joining this list? LaRussa is the king of the retaliation.
  2. My wife and I both got vaccination #2 yesterday. No issues for me. I drank tons of water and got on the treadmill for over an hour for some exercise (as instructed by an advisor). I did have to turn the fan on in the bedroom, though. I was quite warm! But I think that was related to the 84-degree day we had. Count me as thrilled to have some of the process completed. I still have to be diligent and mask up and wash hands often, etc. While the vaccinations will help immensely, it's not 100% effective. Good luck to any and all of you if / when you get your vaccinations.
  3. At least Oregon State made it a game toward the end.
  4. "Better Call Saul" is arguably better than "Breaking Bad." (They're both great!) Don't forget to try to find "El Camino" after you finish "Breaking Bad." It's worth the two-hour run time.
  5. The thing about the blackout rules that really grinds my gears is something that a lot of Wisconsinite (which is, likely a bunch of people on this site) don't have to deal with. I completely understand the reasoning behind blacking out a LIVE televised sporting event. COMPLETELY. But, here in Arizona, I have Directv and we get the sports pack (we used to have the Extra Innings package, too, but dropped it last year to go full-time to the MLB.tv that was free as a season ticket holder.) Every so often (actually more often than not!) I will try to tune in to something on FS-Wisconsin that I'd like to see. Maybe it's a Classic Brewer Game. Or one of those Brewers tv-specials that they sometimes air. Or maybe it's just the re-air of the day's game, when it's on late night. It absolutely sucks that THOSE types of programs get blacked out, too! I don't get that!!!
  6. Probably the best half of the year for the Badgers. Sadly, we’ve seen this movie before. I seem to remember saying the same thing at least twice this season and then they couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn in the second half. We’ll see, I guess.
  7. I remember that show! From what I remember reading, the majority of the dialogue was improvised. The script gave the actors a general semblance of a story and they came up with everything else. Yes, it was very funny.
  8. I was going to post this a few weeks ago but I completely forgot. My wife, my brother, and I went to a Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch. This was one of the first dining out experiences we've had since the pandemic. But anyways . . . we ordered wings and drinks and also ordered some of their fried cheese curds as an appetizer. They're always so good and I really like their dipping sauce. But this time, the server brought out the dipping sauce and a cup of hot caramel. She said it's something they are testing and that it was really good. We were a bit skeptical. Well, needless to say, my wife had 1 curd with the normal dipping sauce and about 43 with the caramel. It was absolutely delicious! Tasted like a funnel cake! I wonder if this is a national thing or just a local thing.
  9. That's pretty funny. Gotta wonder how many Cub fans had aneurysms when they saw this today. Just for a split second.
  10. I second the "favorite perk of being a season ticket holder." This stinks. Will they make it available to us so I can have it on my devices?
  11. Bill Hall played some centerfield. If Bill Hall can play there, so can Arcia.
  12. Actually the problem still exists. I changed my bookmark to reflect the /index.php as I stated above. But I have also noticed that if I click the "Mark Topics Read" button, it does not send me to the forum home page, but instead sends me to that HTTP Test page powered by CWP. Kinda aggravating. It does not, however, appear to be happening on other browsers. So far, only on Firefox. I wonder if there is something else going on in the background that I am unaware of.
  13. Yup, I now get an HTTP Test Page powered by cwp Edit: nevermind, I got it to work. I had to change my bookmark to have the /index.php included in the address
  14. Me, too. Phone is fine. Computer gives me the forbidden error. I thought maybe clearing my cookies would do the trick but, alas, I was still defeated.
  15. I've read that many teams will be going with a 6- or even 7-man rotation this year. The reasoning given was that with the 60-game season last year, pitchers may not have the stamina to make it through a full season in a 5-man rotation. I suppose that this line of thinking aligns with young pitchers or pitchers coming off of injury that only pitch the theoretical 20% more innings each season to "save their arms." I'll be curious to see what teams will do this season and, specifically, how it will affect the Brewers.
  16. My wife and I are enjoying watching the entire run of “Hogan’s Heroes.” We’ve got 99 episodes remaining—our goal is to be done by Opening Day. (Sorry, we won’t binge watch, but we tend to watch 2 or maybe 3 episodes every night.) It’s not uproariously funny, for sure, but I’m enjoying it.
  17. To answer your first question, the answer is "yes" because I asked that of my ticket rep the other day. He said you will get your seat assignments and then have a short period of time to accept the new seats or choose Option 2, instead. I do not know the answer to your second question.
  18. Wade Phillips always reminds me of a Bond villain. I see him on the sideline, and it just shouts to me, "We meet again, Mr. Bond."
  19. Pettine NOT using the prevent at the end of the half was almost like him saying, “okay, they know I’m gonna throw the prevent out there. So let’s call a time out and then confuse them with something different! They won’t expect that. It’s gonna work!” Ugh. Either that or the fix was in and this was just a part of it...
  20. Last year, can’t stop the run This year, can’t stop the pass. Sigh. C’mon, Packers!
  21. This might be a long afternoon. Thankfully, there’s a lot of game yet.
  22. For us Arizonans (or elsewhere) how can we listen to the Packer Radio broadcast this afternoon? I’d rather not listen to Joe and Troy if I can help it. I remember doing this last year against the 49ers but I don’t remember what I did Suggestions? Thanks
  23. Haha! I’m not the only one that does this! I just put $100 on TAM to win (+160) yesterday. I do this every time the Packers are in the NFCCG. Might as well profit from any possible unhappiness. And if the Packers win, it was worth every penny (to me.)
