  1. Isn't the 26-man roster a set thing going forward? Ah something I forgot about. Also forgot to add a 5th OF. Shouldn't be something to hard to fill.
  2. Just 24players listed. Above. To be honest I feel comfortable the way pitching stands. OF assume we need 1 more bench player to complete the 25. Infield needs less catchers and a 3b. I'd suggest a look at Maikel Franco. Also long way back suggested Asdrubal Cabrera for 1b. Maybe 4mil deals get it done. 77mil payroll becomes 85.
  3. Who's playing SS without Arcia for Milw in 2021? Urias for a full season? Who's the backup? Not sure you have a better FA or player to call up from minors that exceeds what Arcia brings good or bad.
  4. In theory, the Dodgers could have simply just signed him after the Brewers' likely non-tender. I wonder if there was more than one team interested? Wouldn't it takes two to tango apply here? Kneble would have his choice of teams to sign for. Dodgers stopped that potential in its tracks.
  5. I doubt it will be cash. Dodgers and Kneble will go through Arb process_money right there. Sending money to Milw is just paying Kneble more money essentially. Let's guess the return will be based on what LA's win or loss is on Kneble's hearing.
  6. I'm glad he's staying. He fits a perfect stopgap for hopefully Turang. Also that's a cheap potential for trade piece at deadline.
  7. Yep. We'll be waiting a month to even know what Hader's salary will be before a trade talk can begin.
  8. I'd love to get Rosaio for a year, but the team claiming him has to pay his full 2021 salary, correct? If so, that pretty much leaves us out. 9.6 million for Rosaio when we are already shelling out 10 million for worthless Garcia just isn't going to happen. Yelich, Cain and Rosario would be a nice looking OF for 2021. I don't think Kirriloff was ever a remote possibility anyway. He is pretty much untouchable, and even if he was an option, I don't think we have the guns to get him. It seems that way. I think I read Rosario was possibly in line towards 12mil in arb. I do wonder on waiving him how the arb works and tendering a contract. A claim should take him past the 7pm deadline so a team couldn't tender him in time right? I thought about posing this in my comment before but thought maybe others more knowledgeable would chime in by now. I didn't realize Kirriloff was planned more towards OF use vs a 1b only. Makes more sense to hold on to him with the flexibility.
  9. Seems a list of 3b potential fillins exist there. Jon Gray is going to have a lot of suitors. Maikel Franco is a guy who was supposed to be a stud and just never got there. 28, had a solid year last season away from Philly. Maybe making progress another year removed from Philly? 2yr deal with option would seem doable for 29-30 seasons. And there goes Rosario waived within last hour. You can take Kirriloff off the trade idea.
  10. Off top of my head I think I seen 97IP as his highest he's pitched in a season 4years ago? Last when he was still starting. It is something to look at when you wonder on a SP vs RP. Players only have so long before exposed to Rule 5 or added to 40man. Williams missed that SP by a lot. I don't think you would want to call up a SP from the minors unless he was on pace for 130 plus IP by the end of that season. This way 30starts-5IP 150IP workload can be feasible the next season.
  11. Heres the question. Does this mean the 40man is now full? I dont really get it. Was Peyton Henry selected in rule 5?
  12. Perez’s swing is insanely compact with premium bat speed. It’s built to spray the ball with authority to all fields. That is tough not to get really excited about. Lutz has elite bat speed as well, but he is much more of a prototypical pull-side power hitter. Yep just a take it for what is a 1swing viewed comparison. I'd take Lutz if this were picking a school yard team draft.
  13. I wonder if the Crew could get Wendle from the Rays? The Rays have an abundance of corner infielders, but look to need OFs or pitching. Wendle appears to play a good 3B and is controllable for 3 years. They also have Nate Lowe at 1B who may be a target. Just throwing another possibility out there. Wendle is a good mention for Tampa to trade. I don't know if he has any options, surprised he's 30yrs old already. Arbitration this year 1st time. Looks like moved down the pecking order and is more a LH bat to be platooned vs RHP. Has experience at 2b and 3b even a little SS. Lowe on the other hand, looks like a fixture for the future for Tampa at 1b. You might wonder on Ji-Man Choi reunion as a 1b fix for Milw. I don't know what the ask would be but being Tampa it'd probably hurt.
  14. Prospect worldwide solid writeup and video presented. Well Done. Tristan Lutz montage of HRs he hit for 2mins makes me do a double take. If his swing is like that and not just on those HR swings, that is a thing of beauty. That is something that can translate to a big rise. Doesnt read well towards his defense and I'd fast track him as a 1b filling a huge need. By that I mean move him to 1b now, forget the defense improving for OF and advance that bat quicker to the club by 2022. I'm reminded of Kyle Tucker only from the RH side. A kid I absolutely loved for the 2015 draft and quickly became a top 20 prospect. More to love on Lutz than the Hedbert Perez swing vid. (But he's 17 and it's 1 swing)
  15. On the 57yd run, I can only think Kirksey and I think it was Martin? One of them ran the equivalent of a WR running the wrong route. Theres just no way both make their first step in the opposite direction of the 4v1 hole that was about to be punched. About the only call I can think of designed like that is the red zone let them score defense to give the offense time to have the ball back. It reminded me of playing days of Madden where Id move the DL and LB to rush on outside on a passing down. I am pleased on the game yesterday. Wasn't a let down for 2nd half. Good overall game to build experience on. Runyan may just be the pick of the Packers 2020 draft. Loved seeing him on a run block throw Trevathon to the ground. Listening to Tony Dungy wow a good 6times on Rodgers throws and play has to be special. We're so accustomed to how well he plays over the years, you get taken a back that this play or that play wowed him? Tonyan is interesting to me. So when GB drafted Sternberger, I assumed Jace would become the passing threat and Tonyan would be the blocking TE. It's the opposite. Love how he's become somebody the defense has to consider prepping for. All but locked up the Central last night. Just stay healthy, and I like looking ahead to the playoffs. Lot of experience to be gained these 5 games to learn from. Such as what that 57yd run given up was a result of. Runyan gets.more experience even Jenkins at Center. Go Pack Go.
  16. Mentioned was allowed 500fans but not all 500 showed up.
  17. Lol ref just stood there holding the play up and end of 3qtr 8 secs later. I don't get why teams dont just attack GBs defense with those 6-11yard deep crossing patterns. It's always open on passing downs. Just like that another easy completion 1st down. Though to be fair up 31 it is all youre trying to do. Mid-field clock running completions.
  18. Nah, It was the right call. No reason to give Bears more chance of momentum via a sack-TO. I'd say I would have had Jones in the game. It was pretty obvious with Williams a run being called. I'd have run with Jones and if he broke one for 14 or more yards you call TO and take a shot. They started before the 30yd line How does a sack change the momentum? It's literally the exact same score going into half. And they did not start before the 30 yard line. The line of scrimmage was the 35. A sack is a hit on Rodgers. Could create a fumble or injury. Well so much for Trubisky's great week in practice. I was wrong to feel uncomfortable. Let's see some first downs running the ball.

  20. Uncomfortable, based on how 2nd half adjustments have gone on both sides this season. Offense hasnt been stopped once, 2 turnovers on D. A first possession TD to start the 3rd and only 10 ahead then.
  21. How does NO only score 31 vs the Broncos today? 1 single Completion by the WR-QB and 2INTs. That punter must be All-Pro.
  22. Pretty sure King threw a shot on the WR. Gotta love the refs for GB this game. 2 personal fouls on b2b plays neither called.
  23. He took two good shots and a lot of mouth on his catch before that. Well deserved fired up moment.
  24. Wow. So that 57yd run. 4OL on 1 DE. No LBs set up anywhere near that. Than after ball is snapped both LBs initial movement was first away from the monster gap that was going to be 4v1, watching the RB run right by them just like that. How do you set up defensively like that?
  25. Getting closer to Winter Meetings and non-tender deadline. The real excitement is less than 10days away.
