I just can't get behind Devi Garcia. 5'9" Trading for Frazier would just be a bad look on Stearns. He traded Grisham and now he's replacing him with 25yr old bounce around Clint Frazier? Luis Gil has wild written all over him. We'd trade a possible All-time great RP for what I'd worry as being 3 AAAA players. Platoon bat, RP, RP seems destined for these 3. They'd have to part with Jasson Dominguez imo to open talks. NY, like Boston prospects just have that higher rankings attached to them then they deserve. Clarke Schmidt their top 100 addition from last season had a basic MiLB season in 2019. Nothing eye popping to warrant a jump in to top 100. Age 24 with just 3 games started at AA. Devi Garcia had a 4.28 ERA combined in 2019. Yet crawled in to the top 100. Estevan Florial was up to a top 45 across the board after 2017 after a .850 OPS A/A+ Followed that up with no games seen at AA and OPS .799 in 2018, followed by .680 in 2019. No longer in top 100 Jonathan Loaisiga reached MLB's top 100 in 2018 at 66. He's pitched his 3rd season for the Yankees this season having just 177.1 IP in 5 seasons in minors. At best he's a swingman or a late inning RP. He'll take a number of seasons before he could ever reach a SP who goes 170IP. Albert Abreu #85 by MLB in 2018. High BB rate and kaput on the top 100. RP status. Chance Adams got up to 53 in 2017, and by the age and numbers, I'd say he deserved some recognition. 3 flaming out years later, he's a RP with a career 8+ERA. Not much seems to come out of their top 100 prospects. Just keep that fanbase happy.

Actually think he's brought in for Pinch running. I hope TB wins because he's gotta have one of his epic laugh meltdowns in that locker room if any reporter tries talking to him.

Fun. Tell me a proposal where you'd part with Hiura. Understand improves hit swing contact% his numbers will explode on offense. I dont see filling multiple holes unless referring to future additions through Milb years away prospects. An immediate fill would be a 1v1 move. Gavin Lux, Nolan Jones. And Im not sure beyond that. Not sure the Rays would do this but you could get Xavier Edwards, Shane McClanahan and Kevin Padlo. I don't think the Rays would do this but that is another SS/2B in Edwards could be ready mid 2021 or 2022 with Padlo at 1B and McClanahan either in the rotation or in the bullpen in 2021. While the Rays have 2b/SS covered I think they'd make this move in a heartbeat. They get the highest ceiling player and we are stuck with the prospects. Padlo looks like a AAAA hitter who would approach 200Ks. Xavier Edwards looks like another low pop middle infielder who will struggle to have an OPS north of .735. McClanahan has impressed to A+ level. Seems the highest ceiling out of the trade but Milw's need is an everyday bat. You lose one while picking up neither. TB likely gains their DH to hit 30+ bombs and potentially carry a .285+BA behind it. Why are they in the World Series? Teams giving up on a quality player too soon and TB traded for them or picked them up.

Game 5: Packers @ Buccaneers - Sunday, October 18th, 3:25PM

Lazard became Rodgers go to when Adams was out simply because MVS was bad. Still being bad and ESB showing a complete lack what audible Rambo meant he only had Adams to throw to who he trusts when under pressure. Just ran out of playcalls to keep a defense on its heels. No fear on rushing and no #2 target meant easy pickens. Rush 6 and watch them crumble. Something you didn't see on the Pack's Defensive side. I really wish they'd blitz Savage more from his position. Rodgers being hit on the TD and again on the 2nd interception besides the amount of hits he took from TB's pass rush unsettled him on top of Tonyan's loss during the game. Just whatever they planned for the game it didn't work. Team needs a #2 yesterday. Byrnes' play was so much better than Summers, I'd drop Summers sooner than later for whatever player you can add to the team that may help. Is there another Ervin type out there? How scared were you to see ESB as punt returner? Positive side, can AJ Dillon get used on short yardage situations now more? After that one nice run, TB was clearly beat on play action the next, selling out he was going to be given the ball again. It's time to use Jones or Williams in a trade for some sort of help the team needs. WR, ILB, DE. Any trade ideas that would work? -

C’mon. Didn’t they lose to the Bears last week? Obviously, they’re in the mix, but this is a week-to-week league. Yeah...and they lost to the Saints. That's just a ridiculous statement after week 6 in the NFL. "This is your SB team." Really? I'm thinking a lot of people were saying the same thing about the Ravens last year. I mean...c'mon. We're still ahead of them in the standings. That doesn't mean we're a better team, but it is a preeety good indication they're not this obvious SB team. Well Last week I heard a poll on the top team in the NFL on ESPN. Two of them picked Tampa, and this confirms exactly what they are picking Tampa for. If Brady can have Gronk in the post season healthy and playing the guy can't be covered when he runs the route and Brady hits him on that route. It's just sickening that Brady can choose a top defense team and then call a HOF TE to join the team and now the learning curve is just bypassed. -

They just brought the house 7 on that blitz up 28 and not 1 WR was anywhere near open, including Adams. Sorry folks but if Tampa's Defense remains healthy, this is your SB team from the NFC. This reminds me of the Giants with their SB runs. You have no chance after you've made a mistake or have a key injury. -

This too. When ESB completely had no clue what Rambo was, he began the throw to Adams.. MVS has nothing going for him. Lazard out. We're back to Rodgers having no other target than Adams he trusts. Tonyan sure but that's at TE. -

What kind of play call was that to run right at Wagner fresh in to the game? -

Alright I'll be the first to suggest this. You know the Rodgers TD..I mean run to the goaline? The hit he took? Clear grimace from that shot when he took it. He's been terrible ever since. Rodgers is hurting. Throws have been much weaker and thus the picks. -

Compared to GB's in last 20years it's pretty easy to look incredible. Outmatched. There's not enough time for Rodgers and a poor WR core. But you know, Love was a great pick in round 1. Rodgers would have been dumped 3 times now if Jones hadn't made spectacular blocks. Much better to take Queen, who has rated out poorer than Summers, right? 5 Games in to his career. Have you watched him? How about Summers? This is like comparing Arcia on a 4 game hitting streak vs. Yelich on a 5 game slump. As I write this, Hey Gary making a 1st rd player play. Oh wait that wasn't -

Me to. If that was giving up then that was a late hit. Yes and guy should be thrown from the game it was blatantly late if the rule is Rodgers is down. Not that it'd matter. Crosby would just kick one through the FG posts. -
Hiura would be a massive surprise trade. The talent is there with the bat, he adjusts something he may take off to a whole new level. Surprise trade imo would be Williams, Lauer, Urias, Rasmussen, The comp pick A, Cain, and Narvaez from what I can come up off top of my head. I'd be surprised on Claudio being traded simply because who'd want his garbage. Houser, Peralta, Hader, Suter, Topal, Garcia, Arcia, Pina, and Nottingham wouldn't surprise me.

I like Dunning and I think you're right about plugging him in to the rotation right away. Bailey is young and a good throw-in. I don't think the rest of the pkg. is good enough for Hader. Sheets is a big, slow, below avg. defender at 1B. An AA guy with avg. OPS and is iffy to make it to the bigs by 2022. Burger hasn't played since 2017 and is a huge injury risk. 3 major left leg injuries in the last two years. I can't see the Sox in the picture for Hader. The Sox are losing their closer most likely in FA Alex Colome. Now I think I questioned when I made CWS trade proposals the need for Hader even with Colome gone as they seem to have a good young core of RPs that played this year who could just take over the job. On the other hand, my proposal doesn't seem to really hurt the Sox moving forward one would think. Parting with a #3/4 SP in 2021 for the elite Hader and 3 pieces that aren't in their immediate future plans has to feel like a great move to make. Sheets while I haven't watched any video, I know I love the 6'3-6'5" batters. I've just seen the leverage guys that height are able to punish a ball a lot longer than somebody that's 5'11-6'1" He's left handed so while mlb page at the moment suggests he has to improve vs leftys, he is on the platoon side that would get 60% or more of the PAs. I dunno what really entails worry of a 1b's defense anymore. I mean in today's game of 3TO how bad can he be? .996 fielding pct thus far in minors. The idea on Burger, is the upside of an 11th pick in the draft. He is back to doing baseball activities and would have played games in the minors had there been a season. Team needs to find places where they can bring up a legit 1b/3b to their offense. He's the lottery ticket, potential huge upside. Burger likely starts at A ball and advances to AA. A good showing and he'd be realistic for a callup in 2022 before end of the season. I give the idea since the Brewers have taken their chances with draft picks that are coming off injuries or down seasons due to past injury and looking for the upside. Dunning and Burger would fit the bill of get them at this value before it's too much. Also, I find less matchups on a Hader deal with what the other team could offer, and this seems like a reality. Dunning really feels like a guy that if he's eligible for a rerank is going to jump in to top 50 prospects. Nothing in his numbers suggest that he shouldn't be. Dude misses a year having only reached AA and starts 7games in this covid season with 34IP!

La Stella fwiw was behind the likes Addison Russell, Kris Bryant, Ben Zobrist, and Javy Baez when talking playing 2b/3b. Then he is traded off the team and LA allows him to start and does nothing but carry over an 800OPS For 2b/3b that seems like a good 3 year investment for a team that has money restrictions and needs 2b/3b help while being a playoff contender. Brewers? I could actually see it happen. Move Gyorko to 1b or play La Stella there, he had some starts there for LA this season. You can obviously consider a Hiura drop down to AAA if he's still bad with Ks to at least give that feel 2b isn't just yours til we finish our team control over you. Likewise with Urias and sent to minors on lack of impact. Wouldn't be surprised the Cubs made a reunion signing with him.

Guess I'll flip the trade idea with the White Sox on Vaughn with Gavin Sheets being their next 1b. So now the Brewers take an arm. Dane Dunning as your headline. Adding Gavin Sheets for 1b. and taking a some flyers. 1 on Jake Burger. drafted #11 who suffered 2 ruptured achilles tendons that forced him away from baseball 2years and covid a 3rd. And I'll keep the 4th with Benyamin Bailey. Dunning had 5 starts for the White Sox this season and by all stat measures, should probably be a top 50 prospect, but blowing out his elbow in 2018 while 59th and he has been dropped back to 98th for the 2020 season. He's also going to turn 26 this offseason. He's got the innings history, 3 pitches to pull from with reads a changeup that could develop in to a 4th. Started Game 3 for the White Sox vs Oakland. Sheets is a 1b prospect that appears soon to MLB. Big 6'5" He has a .766OPS thus far in his 2+ minor League season. It's not 900 sure, but he was .762 rookie, 776 A+, 759 AA. 2nd round pick in 2017. Seems high floor but you get him before he may take off and exploding a high ceiling. We need a 1b prospect and gotta think he could be added to team after Super 2. Benyamin Bailey I wrote about before. 6'4" more Walks than Ks. Sounds like a corner OF future. 19 something to dream about. This could be like the opposite of Yelich, where the team acquires 4 guys that all will make it to the majors. The caveat though is Dane Dunning looks like a SP you can plug in right away in 2021 vs Lewis Brinson being a failed headliner. Isan Diaz being Gavin Sheets. Monte Harrison as Benyamin Bailey, and Jordan Yamamoto as Jake Burger. You're 4th who may be the best/2nd best when the dust is settled.

Welcome to the Board. Well Done first post. A lot you delved in to, to digest. I think MLB average salary is approaching 4mil, and you have to just look at what Sogard received in a poor FA period. Essentially 2/8.5mil. That said, there's just no way I see Braun being a 3mil signing. That 4mil was guaranteed to him a long time ago. It's not like Stearns coming to him and saying well we made a 7mil offer to Braun to return to the team. He's either gotta commit 11mil more when picking up the option, or start a new FA deal from $0 competing with the other 29Baseball teams. Gotta believe the offer will be more than 4mil. San Fran comes to mind as they have a fairly lot of money at their disposal and obviously Braun has always had the California teams on his options to be traded to. Lux isn't going anywhere. Not for Hader that's for sure. The Dodgers have gone ultra conservative when it comes to their upper tier of top prospects. It's as if they figured out they have upper hand in the NL when it comes to money. And allowing your top prospects to make the team means you can spend much more of it on the premium players in the game. Mookie Betts being the most recent of such a player. Dodgers 4 highest paid players combine for a salary higher than the Brewers entire payroll in 2020. Lux is going to be a contributing factor on keeping that rolling. Andujar is damaged goods. I'd trade Nottingham or Pina to the Yankees for him. They'll need a C Someone mentioned above, Gamel or Pillar, may as well keep the cheaper of the two. La Stella back to the Sogard comp, only La Stella has been a better player than Sogard for a lot longer period of time. 2/8.5 becomes something more like 2/12.5 as likely the starting point. So at 3 that's likely at 20 vs 10. And I'm still not sure if that isn't underselling him. He's a FA for the first time and with his age likely his only time to garnish something higher in pay. He doesn't need to prove it on a 1year deal, so I fully expect a 3year ask above 6mil per. Our signing to Avisail Garcia 2/20 or 3/30 has to be more of a comp because aside from 2 seasons Garcia was garbage. Fully agree on Claudio and Sogard releases.

Why can't his motion be replicated? Seems that's what makes him so effective. He's got what appears to be a clean delivery and the same delivery for the change and the FB. I was inferring to that his motion is something other pitchers can't replicate. If others can't do it, it's a motion that the body will likely breakdown to. You know, something like a normal motion and he could pitch til his late 30's, this motion however shortens his pitching lifespan by a few years. He just recently turned 26. So just the 6years of control would take him to age 31/32 if postseason. It's a good age on 2 things, one, he could be a huge trade chip that final season/trade deadline or two, you offer him whatever the equivalent to current QO is and get a draft pick in return. I just also have to worry that the D-Williams Change-up isn't reliable for 6 years of use. What happens when his velocity reduces by 3-5MPH on the FB? FG has his FB at 96.5 and change up at 84.7. Slower the pitch with that spin a few MPH lower has to be hitting the dirt. a 92MPH FB to set up that change is potentially above the zone now, or just sitting on a tee to be crushed. Sure location can beat a lot of that, but you have to think there's going to be some periods of struggle when he has to adjust to the velocity changes.

Question. This is supposedly JD at the age of 16. Can one ask that this boy be you know an adult? Full face beard, the size of an NFL Linebacker who's 25? I'd love to see Aaron Judge get in a boxing ring vs JD. Be the Tyson/Holyfield right? Just seems off to be that fully mature at 16 and only 5'10".

So just slide right on by my question to you and make this statement above^ brewers888 said: balsamlaker said: I could see Gonzalez or Freddy Galvis? So dumpster diving 2.0. I totally expect another underwhelming offseason unless we can improve through the trade route. Look at the FAs. Who please tell would be players you wouldn't call Dumpster-diving? Can't wait to see this long list...ahem oh maybe it's just one.
