  1. lol one time the cameras caught the german national soccer team coach pick his nose at the world cup. question for everyone: do you guys think the old yovani is starting to comeback? he's pitched well in his last two outings. i know he's a slow starter, but this year is the longest that his early season blues have lasted.
  2. FIGARRROOOO FIGARO FIGARO FIGARO! I hope the Brewers never get rid of him. His name is too much fun lol It's weird seeing this matchup listed as interleague. I miss the free 9-13 wins a year the Brewers got from the Astros.
  3. Last year was the 1st time in awhile that they sold some players. I think if they linger near or at .500 they won't sell. I see a small sale in July. Maybe guys like Rodriguez, Gorzelanny, Henderson.
  4. Entertainment the last time I looked is a real job. You live in a city that is mostly entertainment are those not real jobs in Las Vegas also? I don't believe baseball players are grossly overpaid they are paid what the market dictates that they are to be paid. I don't see how it is undeserved as he has worked rather hard to get the salary he is making. to you it might be but to me its not. athletes do not deserve to make more money than people who actually contribute to society like doctors, teachers, cops, firefighters, etc. i don't think that alex rodriguez deserves a $30 million salary. sorry but its just my opinion. ballplayers do not make contributions to society. they do not have the same impact on a person's life that a doctor, soldier, or teacher does. hell i don't think anyone should be making such gross amounts of money. what talent is so great that requires $30 million a year? i just think its a gross waste of money that could be spent on better things. i'm going to end the discussion here because it's starting to go off-topic. if you want we can continue to discuss this on another board. i didn't intend to hijack the thread lol.
  5. wow 2 good weeks. when he puts up a season with that stat line then i'll shut up. look at the overall body of work. it's mediocre. i can't remember the last big time clutch hit weeks had.
  6. Just because kids also play baseball doesn't make it a "kid's game". Old Hoss Radbourn would take exception to that. maybe not to you, but to me it is. it's basically entertainment. it's not a real job. those guys have no idea what its like to have a normal job and to live a normal life. they don't know what its like to have to take care of people on an average salary. if rickie weeks screws up at ''work'' nothing bad happens. at the end of the day he gets to go home to an undeserved grossly overpaid salary. if one of us screws up at work we are in serious trouble.
  7. @chickinbrickin yeah i am. i'm tired of this bum playing like crap. i have every right to vent my frustration seeing as how i have spent a lot of money on merchandise, tickets, television packages, etc. when the product sucks the fans have the right to vent. Well Weeks has been very good with the bat and in the field since June 1st. Not really sure what you are tired of watching. That throw gets caught by every other 1b in the league. No need to come on here with all the bum, piece of garbage talk when it isn't warranted. Vent if you want to vent, but to pile on Rickie who is playing the best baseball he has all year makes no sense. 2 weeks of good baseball doesn't excuse months of poor baseball. that's the truth. weeks has sucked most of this year and most of last year. what i see is constant strikeouts, groundouts, and useless pop ups. what i see is soft throws, overthrows, lack of speed, lack of range. if this is his best baseball then he has no business being on a big league team.
  8. frustrating because besides the home run, the reds runs should have never happened. silly errors are killer.
  9. You mad bro yeah i am. i'm tired of this bum playing like crap. i have every right to vent my frustration seeing as how i have spent a lot of money on merchandise, tickets, television packages, etc. when the product sucks the fans have the right to vent.
  10. I hope you do the same thing at your job whenever you make a mistake. there's a difference between a person with a real job and a person that gets paid millions to play a little kid's game. he deserves to get chewed out when he makes a mistake.
  11. there's no reason why the reds should have scored that inning. if that piece of garbage had any honor he would return his paycheck.
  12. Figaro kicked some serious butt today. Too bad its not going to be a sweep. The Brewers really could have used the sweep since they are going to Cincy. That has been a house of horrors for the Crew.
  13. i want to believe in peralta but then he goes and does crap like this. miami is awful. there is no reason why peralta should be getting rocked by miami. very disappointing so far. kranitz needs to go. he can't coach these guys for sh!t. this kid is getting crushed by an awful team.
  14. because its wrong. i hate when braun and aramis hack away on bad pitches. i dont care how good a player is. hacking at a bad pitch is stupid. how many times have we seen braun swing away on 3-0 only to ground out? yeah i get that he's ryan braun and he deserves some slack but its still annoying. its completely unacceptable when a AAA quality player like juan francisco does it. if francisco doesn't swing at that high pitch it's a 3-1 count. the next pitch that nolasco threw would have been ball 4 if francisco hadn't swung at it. francisco would have walked and the brewers score another run. it might not comeback to haunt them because they're playing their marlins, but if it was a good team..... yuni b is selfish. he constantly hacks away at garbage and refuses to run hard on grounders.
  15. No. yes. it's been the same story with this guy everywhere he goes. selfish stubborn hitter. he's crap. someone from AAA can do a better job.
  16. weeks best hit of the year. home runs at marlins park have to be well earned. he smoked that one
  17. release juan francisco right now. i have no tolerance for idiots that swing at garbage on a 3-1 count with the bases loaded. selfish bum.
  18. 2013: Aramis, Lohse, K-Rod, Aoki, Axford, Gallardo, Gorzelanny, Hart, and Gomez shopped for trades. If the return for Gomez isn't really damn good then keep him. Gallardo should bring back a nice haul. I think it's time to get rid of him. I don't want to keep him if he's really starting to decline. Plus the constant failure to get past 6 innings is getting annoying. Lohse might not bring back much. If the return is not that good then keep him. If the return for Hart is mediocre keep him. Sign Hart to a qualifying offer in the offseason. If we can't trade him then get draft pick. The Gomez, Gallardo, Aoki, Ramirez trades help stock the farm system. K-Rod should bring back a decent prospect. Lohse might be worth keeping just to have a veteran pitcher around. 2014: Call up Hellweg, Morris (If Hart is gone), Jungmann, Bradley, Nelson. Hart will have had enough time to build up his trade value. Trade Hart for prospects. Seid, Melvin, RRR canned. Poach front office personnel from savy teams like STL, SD, SF, OAK, TEX, TB, CIN. SP Rotation 1. Lohse 2. Estrada 3. Hellweg 4. Jungmann 5. Loser of Bradley/Nelson battle C. Lucroy 1B. Hart (If still here)/Morris 2B. Gennett SS. Segura 3B. AAA Player/Cheap FA LF. Braun CF. Schafer RF. Khris Davis 2015 By now the team should know if Gennett is going to be a good player. All of the rookie pitchers have a year under their belt. Ariel Pena to the bullpen. Veteran signings for the pen. Loser of Bradley/Nelson battle heads to bullpen, Burgos, Thornburg, Henderson, Lopez, and Pena key members of the pen. Jorge Lopez gets a late call-up. Williams and Neuhas have had a year in the minors. 2 more years until graduation for them. The team by now should now if Peralta is the real deal or not. Roache, Taylor, Haniger one year from graduation. The team should know if Arcia is ready or not. SP Rotation 1. Peralta 2. Hellweg 3. Jungmann 4. Lohse 5. Winner of Bradley/Nelson battle C. Lucroy 1B. Morris 2B. Gennett 3B. Free Agency SS. Segura LF. Braun CF. Schafer RF. Davis 2016 Clint Coulter, Victor Roache, Tyrone Taylor, Mitch Haniger get called up. If Neuhaus and Williams are ready call them up. The farm system should be much improved. The 2013/2014 trades should be making an impact on the farm system by now. SP Rotation 1. Peralta 2. Hellweg 3. Jungmann 4. Bradley 5. Nelson Pena, Lopez, Burgos, Thornburg, Estrada, Henderson, FA C. Lucroy/Coulter 1B. Morris/Coulter 2B. Gennett SS. Segura 3B. FA LF. Braun CF. Taylor RF. Roache 2017 The future has arrived. If Coulter can play catcher then trade Lucroy. If Coulter can't play catch then trade Morris. SP Rotation 1. Peralta 2. Hellweg 3. Jungmann 4. Bradley 5. Nelson Bullpen Lopez, Pena, Burgos, Williams, Estrada, Henderson, FA or AAA C. Coulter/Lucroy 1B. Morris/Lucroy 2B. Gennett SS. Segura 3B. Neuhaus LF. Braun CF. Taylor RF. Roache 2018 The team should be back in the playoffs. Ariel Pena looks like a future closer to me. The two best of Williams/Bradley/Nelson/Lopez go to the rotation. Thornburg solid bullpen pitcher. Free agency signings and maybe a AAA player make up the bullpen. If Arcia and Yadiel Rivera are MLB quality players, they'll be on the roster. SP Rotation 1. Peralta 2. Hellweg 3. Jungmann 4. Bradley/Nelson 5. Lopez/Williams C. Coulter 1B. Morris 2B. Gennett SS. Segura 3B. Neuhaus LF. Braun/Haniger CF. Taylor RF. Roache The main focus is on drafting and developing pitchers. The best scouts and developmental coaches will be hired. A large portion of the budget will be devoted to worldwide scouting. As players get older they will be moved to make room for the younger replacements. By 2018 the farm system should be stocked with great talent. The roster should be young and talented. The team should have payroll flexibility. If the Hellweg/Jungmann/Bradley group doesn't work out then their is more talent on the way.
  19. nice win. well what do you know its a 3 game win streak. 6 more to go and we match our season high. this month's schedule is pretty soft. this is a good opportunity to fix the record.
  20. That's true man. We're hoping that our prospects can at least be 3's. Lee sounds like he would be a 3 right away.
  21. what a fun weekend. the brewers have looked like a legit baseball team the last 2 days. i haven't felt this good about the crew in a while.
