    Posts like this amaze me. We get it. Yelich is a picture of health and is 100 percent. Move on. They don't amaze me. Someone has to push back against the sports talk radio environment that has invaded this board over the past year or two. Personally, I'm glad it was a mod.

    I can see how someone would come to that conclusion only by looking at the draft position and production to this point, but I would argue it was more a case of being a disastrous draft to have a high pick in. There seem to be a few nice arms in the mix but I'm not sure 2016 was one of the better drafts of the past 10 years.

    I think the most alarming thing I see is that many of the upside arms we were pegging as potential starters the last handful of years are turning into bullpen arms. On the one hand, it's great that they're at least turning into contributors but given how expensive starting pitching is in the free agent game, those guys not reaching their ceiling really hamstrings us trying to compete with big market squads.

    Does anyone know why Feliciano isn't getting more press? Seems like a 20 year catcher showing good hit and power numbers in a non-friendly hitting environment would be grabbing more headlines. Heck, he has to have a shot at the Carolina record for HR's going into the home stretch.

    I believe Freitas with 4 more hits in last nights game has forced Stearns hand, like Grisham did with his 5 for 5 two homer cycle game, at least I hope he has. We have 18 games or so till rosters expand, I just don’t want to wait till then to call him up, when he could help us win a game we otherwise would lose because he can hit Lefties, where Shaw can’t. Manny Pina's splits vs lefties: 340/426/681/1.107 What is the likelihood that Freitas is better than this and plays the same or better defense?

    I remember fist pumping while crying like a baby in 2005 when the Crew won their 81st game, their final win of the year, thinking how proud I was of that scrappy group. Fast forward to 2019, and the flaming pitchforks would be aplenty for a group that disappointing.

    Huh? Stokes is hitting .241 with an OPS below .760 in the PCL. Those are atrocious numbers. By comparison, in his short stint there last year, Gamel hit .349 with a .969 OPS.

    You'd think. TJ vs a torn ACL from about 6 weeks before the season. The one thing you don't want to do though if rush a guy who's got a leg injury out there as it can cause him to try and overthrow to compensate for the lack of strength in his legs. I'm still excited for the stretch run, but really excited for what next years team could look like. We should have a loaded pen with Wahl coming back, Knebel coming back, Devin Williams, Rasmussen, Houser...etc..etc.... People here are absolutely bagging on the Black acquisition. What has Wahl proven to make you believe he's a legitimate MLB option and a better option than Black?

    But if you throw Drew Rasmussen into the mix... Just sayin'. Don't forget that Perdomo is setting up Rasmussen. After Wilkerson gives you a clean 7 innings. Brew Crew 92 reappeared so I couldn't help myself. Should have been in blue.

    Dubon has been hitting very well this year, with power (.806 OPS). Not sure how he can be labeled meh when he puts up fairly nice numbers throughout the minors at a fairly young age, especially when meh Arcia is above him. Again, for improvement, the bar here is fairly low. I don't even have to look up numbers on the PCL to tell you that a .806 OPS is probably somehow below league average.

    I disagree with this completely and let's be clear, this is your opinion, not fact as you present it. Let's review. First, we move on from a 29 year old, one position guy with no options who failed to hit his weight this year who nearly everyone on this board was in favor of trading this off season because they felt like last year was a mirage. His 2019 may be closer to what he really is at this point, he'll be 30 next year and potentially declining even further. In return we get back a versatile, solid but not spectacular arm from an organization known for producing pitching. Then we move a light hitting SS, maybe second baseman (where we're covered for the foreseeable future), for a potentially elite level bullpen arm and a rental arm. On the surface, this seems like a low risk worth making and the type of upside move most here clamor for every off season. Failing to see how we're worse long term but I guess it depends how you value Dubon. Personally, I've never been a fan as it seems that we have had half a dozen guys that profile similarly come through the system the past 10-20 years that haven't panned out. Aguilar is a big meh for me.

    Does he play shortstop and lead off now? If not, the comment is misplaced given the current state of the Crew.

    Took a dive into the numbers and WOW. Does anyone that's seen him up there have a scouting report they could share? Seems like a guy you'd like to ramp up to 120-130 innings next year.
