The Cardinals finished off last night’s suspended game and went on to win the regular game to complete a 3 game sweep of the Orioles. They’ve now won 8 of 10 starting with the Sunday game at AFF.
Hes off to a pretty good start, but I I think the jury (or at least my opinion) is still out on Gasser.
He has had 3 starts against 3 of the weakest scoring teams in the NL and has been given quick leads every time out.
Probably because Sanchez can’t catch it.
At some point Contreras is going to have to cut back on the number of games he catches, and Sanchez is not a good backup.
is Erik Kratz available?
I don’t know of anyone saying that the offense is the problem.
The question is whether the offense can maintain something resembling its early pace because it’s probably going to be necessary to support a pitching staff that doesn’t measure up to what the Brewers have had the last couple of years.
Frelick really has a noodle arm.
It’s hard to see where he would fit in a long term plan. A so so defender with a weak arm who doesn’t hit for power. Not what you look for in an outfielder.
