Before the season started I didn’t think I’d be looking at a Brewers lineup and wondering how they were going to score. Grandal is overdue for a day off, but that takes one bat out of the lineup. Cain has obviously been awful, and now Yelich (after almost a full year of superhuman production) has, to use his words, “been hitting like a pitcher” for the last two weeks. Facing a lefty won’t help him or Moustakas. Then the righty brigade of Braun, Hiura, Aguilar, and Pina (one rookie and three underachievers, including 2 near automatic outs), followed by the pitcher and Arcia. Maybe the Brewers learned something about Brault when he tied them up in knots when he faced the Brewers earlier this month. But, with Davies recent struggles and this lineup, it could be a very dreary loss of the 6-1 variety.
