@Brock Beauchampis there useful or interesting data measuring whether we believe the Brewers will win today? I wonder if we should change the daily poll question to something like over under or a more specific prediction about the game? I generally feel bad predicting the Brewers to lose but also feel silly predicting them to win each game, too.

It certainly feels like Uribe is our ‘eighth inning guy’ and come what may, he will pitch the eighth or ninth inning in a high leverage situation.

Henderson sent down and DL Hall up. I’m glad Hall is back. Did it need to be Henderson to go down? I understand Priester burns final option year if he is sent down, essentially.

Uribe is too young and talented to pitch this often when Ashby hasn’t been used in a week and other relievers frequently warm up only to sit down. edit: I missed Ashby quietly pitching the eighth inning on Saturday

Brewers absolutely sign an .862 OPS bat to a one year deal, if that’s what Hoskins accepts. Is Ernesto that much better than that in 2026? Same for Woodruff, if he pitches at a high level. Brewers have often been open to spending on short term contracts.

Does Contreras mercifully get to DH today or will he catch a fifth consecutive game? Day game after day game. Haase caught Patrick five days ago.

We usually tinker around the edges as buyers and I suspect we tinker around the edges as sellers, too. Peralta is exactly the cost controlled pitcher we want in 2026. He is also somewhat a face of the franchise at this point. Attanasio doesn’t like to ‘go for it’ but I get the impression he does not like the perception of mailing things in or rebuilding either.

Not Turang, Yelich, Frelick. All LH batters Not Durbin, Collins or Ortiz. I guess we could bat Contreras or Hoskins leadoff in the spirit of get your best hitters the most AB. Contreras batting second yesterday makes sense, if you aren’t going to give him any days off. Chourio as leadoff makes the most sense against LHP. We can’t bat everyone eighth 🙂
