  1. Yelich played 1B in high school, I thought. He also played 3B in high school…Whoah solvvd? 🙂 https://www.maxpreps.com/ca/westlake-village/westlake-warriors/athletes/christian-yelich/bio/?careerid=u46kclooujao8
  2. I think the Brewers are very logical. Don’t pay aging veterans more money than they are worth. Very few players are better in their 30s than they were in their 20s. Other than Jesse Winker, bringing in good people that make the clubhouse an enjoyable place to play.
  3. What a neat article! It does make me wonder what data or algorithms do the Brewers use that other teams overlook? Most surprising: They are scoring an NL-leading 5.6 runs a game and 3.41 ERA. (Over past month)
  4. Doesn’t he seem like a guy we would trade for at the deadline? 🙂🤷‍♂️
  5. Looking at June splits, does Hoskins need a couple more days off against RHP in the near term?
  6. What are the odds Misiorowski is considered for this year’s all star game?
  7. I understand the thinking. At the same time, Miz is super affordable for multiple years. It would be disappointing to lose him for a season but not financially ruinous. There are no guarantees that whoever we receive from a Miz trade would pan out, even if they are proven MLB talent.
  8. Murphy: ‘Haase, you have one at bat in the last two weeks. You’re starting today against Paul Skenes.’
  9. Wall Street Journal with a story on Misiorowski. It is paywalled. Remarkable that a Brewers prospect garners this much attention.
  10. Same could be said about Mike Trout, in recent years. Mitchell of course is less talented but still has plenty of potential
  11. You’re right. At the same time, every team ahead of Milwaukee has more wins other than the Rays. The Brewers narrative in 2025 is what is always is: ‘how can this team be this good?’
  12. Brewers have the most wins against opponents with winning records in all of baseball. Tied with Dodgers and Rays.
  13. Patrick for five and Ashby for three tomorrow? Bauers was strategically saved from pitching today also.
  14. In a very real sense, every out is worth the same. I appreciate there is more pressure in the later innings. I don’t fault Murphy for wishing his high leverage relievers would prevent the game from becoming close on a high scoring day.
  15. Cubs have: 4 at STL 3 at HOU 3 vs CLE 3 vs STL 3 at MIN 3 at NYY Before the all star break.
  16. Uribe only pitched one inning in the past seven days. He was almost certainly going to pitch at some point today. I guess he got his three outs a little bit earlier.
