  1. I think the Cubs offense will regress and their bullpen still seems as unreliable as ever.
  2. Turang at SS, Durbin 2B and Capra 3B for a day.
  3. Could we conceivably give Ortiz an off day? I realize it seems like several years since we have given our everyday SS a day of rest.
  4. Naturally, Canha has .976 OPS this year. Only 21 PA though
  5. Adames is very easy to cheer for. I think he left on as good of terms as any multi year Brewer could. There is no way Adames brings $182 million of value to any club. In that sense, we wish him well.
  6. It feels like the Cubs play the Dodgers every week.
  7. Yankees mercifully add a run in the ninth to make it 4-0 and not a save situation
  8. Smith’s 2.82 ERA would be worst in our rotation 🙂🤷‍♂️
  9. Great job limiting damage to one run. Not sure Patrick should get to face everyone a third time through the lineup though.
  10. Severino allowed 11 H and 6 R (3 ER) over 5 IP on 3/30/24. against Milwaukee. Bauers and Hoskins both had success against Severino. This was Hoskins early season HR last year.
  11. We are stat savvy enough to know that walking the leadoff hitter reduces our win probability. 🙂
  12. I imagine we will need to win a few 5-4 games.
  13. Cubs answer back with six runs in the bottom half. Only one out. 🙄
  14. I apologize. Instead of saying walk rate, I should have said BB/9. The BB/9 of Hader’s last season in AAA is similar to Misiorowski in 2024. Yes, ballparks play a factor, too. My previous post(s) also referenced career WHIP. My point was excitement for hopefully seeing Misiorowski in Milwaukee this year. I’m excited to see Durbin this week, too. I will try to be more precise next time 🙂
  15. @wiguy94Thank you. If Hader and Misiorowski have identical minor league career WHIP and the primary objective of pitching is minimizing walks and hits, can we agree Hader and Misiorowski are similar with WHIP? I agree with the points that we don’t need Misiorowski in Milwaukee in April. Just pushing back on the idea we need to wait another full season or more before calling him up.
  16. Hader’s 2017 walk rate versus Misiorowski’s 2024 walk rate. Plus, both players career WHIP. The strike zones are similarly sized in Colorado Springs as they are in Nashville. I appreciate someone might want to nibble at the corners a little bit more in Colorado, though. 🙂
  17. Hader 5.4 BB/9 IP (2017) 1.22 minor league career WHIP Misiorowski: 5.5 BB/9 (2024) 1.22 career WHIP Using full season and career samples, they profile similarly
  18. Hader’s 2017 walk rate in AAA was very similar to Misiorowski. Back to Dunn: wish him well. Maybe he regains something in Nashville.
  19. Do we think Turang’s shoulder is better now? Try Durbin at 3B, I suppose. Then move Durbin to 2B as a fall back option.
  20. Is Turang incapable of playing SS this season to allow Ortiz to play 3B and Durbin at 2B?
  21. He’s 23 and other than limiting walks, what else is there for him to work on? He has enough to be a reliever now, I imagine. I appreciate the walk rate is exceptionally poor but he still allows very few baserunners
  22. Corbin Burnes vs Colin Rea at Wrigley on Friday Miles Mikolas’ contract mercifully ends this year, too. He will have made $138 million as a Cardinal providing slightly below league average performance. 99 ERA+
  23. Cole Ragans mask probably would work just as well.
