  1. I believe the 6 refers to getting six of nine correct,
  2. Pirates had bases loaded and nobody out in the 10th inning against Orioles. Rowdy Tellez pops out on first pitch. Then groundout and strikeout. Inning over. Tellez did have three hits and a walk on the day.
  3. Hoskins probably does not play 150+ games in 2024.
  4. NL Central is only division with every team having positive run differential.
  5. Best winning percentage in National League! Second best in MLB.
  6. We seem to have good team chemistry. Maybe Clevinger ruins that?
  7. He is noticeably critical of Chourio. I’m sure he has positive intentions.
  8. App hasn’t worked today. Most staff are saying ‘don’t worry about it’ for today
  9. Looks like Kepler, Correa, Buxton and Santana have each had success against Junis. I’m excited to see how Jacob pitches today.
  10. Dunn bats left handed. The starting pitcher is right handed.
  11. Three days catching in a row for Contreras. I assume with off day tomorrow he will also catch home opener.
  12. That’d be something. Hard to imagine Ortiz, Dunn, Turang and Monasterio all getting steady AB. I assume two will eventually excel above the others.
  13. Assumptions: Contreras at DH Hoskins at 1B Frelick in CF Turang at 2B (3 hits in 7 AB) Ortiz at 3B (Can Dunn get every start against RHP?) Yelich, Adames and Chourio should be a given. Cant imagine any of them need two days off.
  14. Annual question: Are the Pirates for real this year?
  15. Uribe on back to back days? Payamps for ‘by committee’?
  16. In March 2024, Adames might be better than Hoskins. Plus, harder to plunk someone in the second inning?
  17. In fairness, does LH Frelick stand greater chance of getting on-base more often than RH Chourio today?
  18. Makes you wonder if we had drafted Yelich and developed him as a prospect, how long until we would have let him hit lefties? I don’t recall shielding Prince Fielder from lefties very often, if ever.
  19. We take right and left handedness very seriously.
  20. Jake Bauers with 1.738 lifetime OPS against Severino in 7 PA. Last appearance in 2018 as member of the Rays. Adames with 1.025 OPS versus Severino in 10 PA. link
  21. The slide was legal, even McNeil acknowledged that in postgame. “There’s dirty slides, there’s clean slides, there’s in-between slides,” McNeil added. “It’s a gray line. It wasn’t called. It’s unfortunate. … It was a legal slide, so I just want to leave it at that.”
  22. Memory, 100% Seems like a waste of time to cheat
