  1. Have you SEEN the Philadelphia 76ers? That is what kind of dumpster fire ensues if you burn the house down and there is no guidance from somebody(s) that have actually been there and done that before. Why do you think Michael Carter-Williams came to us the way he was? He even talked about it. This ain't a vacuum we live in watching this team, you can't just push every single guy making a buck out for another guy making fifty cents. The cycle never ends. I'd sure as heck rather watch Ryan Braun at $20 mil per swat .300 and 40 HR than watch Keon Broxton bat .180 and look like a clown out there. And i'm a pretty devoted Brewer fan, imagine those who are more casual in nature. I can see Lucroy getting shipped out, that makes sense. Braun however I don't think is going anywhere. He will still likely be a .280 ish hitter barring injury when these kids are ready to compete, ala Alfonso Soriano in his latter years. Lucroy on the other hand could be concussed and out of the league by then, or at the least a shell of himself like Joe Mauer. Or, you end up with the Cubs, who don't have a single player on their roster that was here before 2012.. I like that comparison much better since comparing to an NBA team is apples and oranges. Guys aren't spending 4 years in developmental leagues in the NBA before they're even pro-ready. The key to a rebuild is acquiring as much young talent as possible for your next future opportunity of contention. It's not about whether fans would rather see Braun or Broxton in a year that doesn't matter anyway. The odds of Braun's skills being good enough to still be a star player by our next window of contention are very unlikely. If he is indeed a .300 40 HR player again now that he's healthy he would be a tremendous trade chip for us this summer and we'd be foolish not to entertain offers Soriano actually was in Chicago during the heart of their dumpster fire (2012-2013), 101 and 96 loss seasons. He "cluttered" up the outfield on a big salary too...yet the Cubs seem to have turned out just fine. If you're looking for Braun to get traded, IF it were to happen its going to be in 2 ish or so years down the road when there are new stars for people to attach to. IMO
  2. Braun's slash line (and career slash) is burning a hole in our pocket? Do you see anybody better that should be playing over him right now? Because i'm sorry, but Kirk Neuwenhuis, Keon Broxton, and whoever Jo Schmo else sure don't inspire me, nor have they earned the right to time. He will revert to the mean a bit, but the guy is putting up MVP numbers right now. Give him his due. Somebody has to bat some runs in, somebody has to protect the other younger guys in the lineup. Somebody needs to provide some leadership in that clubhouse for the young guys. Have you SEEN the Philadelphia 76ers? 3. He's not getting traded. His salary is not really an unfair one, he's been here his whole career, and he's never not produced. Not to mention we're swimming in cash. Minor point but he's 32...that's another season he's here with us.
  4. Sounds like Joe Mauer who automatically takes the first pitch of every AB. Lol
  5. I don't get the fantasy some have with Davies. He's too small...there aren't many Tim Lincecums out there, and even he broke down.
  6. Is The Miz a better champion than Zack Ryder? The tag team division is certainly getting some new blood - Enzo & Cass, the Vaudevillians, now Gallow & Anderson. The New Day is possibly one of the best things the WWE has going for it right now...and that's something I never thought i'd say when they started.
  7. You guys must have better ears than me...I have my bose headphones up to max and still can't hear the heavy breathing haha.
  8. I don't get it. This team is weak on defense in the infield, we shouldn't be making it any harder for them. Such as Scooter being put in positions to make throws that aren't made for him.
  9. After Sunday we're going to be a wild card team after 2 more vs the terrible twinkies and 3 vs the phillies! This is the positive post forum right?
  10. I'm a fan of Carter...he'll probably revert a bit to the mean a bit but he's a useful bat for us. He will hit 30+ HR this year.
  11. Braun and Lucroy are going nowhere lol. This team is going to be further ahead of schedule than this forum thinks it will be.
  12. Ain't Bucks related, but since there isn't another NBA thread... Kobe Bryant.
  13. Enough 100 loss talk. We're 4-4 and I want to enjoy it!
  14. Cards announcers raving about Rivera's cannon arm at SS.
  15. Count me out on the glove and ball...it has its place, but it's time to move on. It ain't like that logo is tied to great successes or anything...how many world series were won with it again? Have said it before, they should hire the Bucks logo designers and come up with something that will be full time on main uniforms from here forward, enough tinkering.
  16. Not having a stopper on defense at C really hurt this team more than alot of people think. Henson is probably supposed to become that guy, but he was out half the year. Larry Sanders WAS the guy, and he blew up in flames. Monroe, while a good player who has trade value, did not work out for this team...he's a seive on defense. I'm not ready to give up on MCW. Flawed he might be, but last year he was elite on defense. The real elephant in the room is Jabari Parker's defense, because when that is combined with Monroe's nonexistent D it's really hard for us to run the system like we did pre- Larry Sanders debacle. That's why we looked into and almost got Dwight Howard at the deadline. Priority #1 for me this offseason is to trade Greg Monroe and try to sign Al Horford or Hassan Whiteside. Surely Kidd can see the Monroe experiment didn't work. Priority #2 is to keep Giannis / Parker healthy, focused, and developing. Giannis is probably going to be a top 3 player in the league in the near future. Priority #3 is to draft Jamal Murray. Middleton can't do it all, in fact I think he might be best as a 6th man personally. Murray can replace OJ Mayo with the youngster Vaughn continuing to develop. I have no idea how it would work financially (if it can), nor if he'd ever leave but if you could pry Conley away from Memphis i'd move away from MCW. It does appear Ennis might have a future with us though, so i'd like to keep him and see if he continues to develop.
  17. Just checked the score now and wow what an abomination. Any reason why CC left Jungmann in there through 8ER when it appears it was pretty obvious he was horrific?
  18. Not sure if you missed it but the Phoenix Suns won a grand total of 22 games this season. Brandon played in a total of 52 games this year (and is out yet again), and also only made it to 11 games post trade. He's been a nonfactor.
  19. Why is it obvious the Brewers don't want Lucroy? I think it's the complete opposite, otherwise he would have been shipped out at any cost this past offseason, even if it came down to a bag of 2015 popcorn. Just because they haven't given him a huge extension doesn't mean they don't like him around. I don't really buy the "Lucroy hates us" belief either, the man isn't an idiot. He knows he's 30 and catchers begin to decline a little after 30. He's never made "good money" in his career and would like to set himself up for the rest of his career/life in case concussions/decline/injuries/whatever else happen to strike him. Don't forget Russell Martin robbed a bank with his contract not long before Lucroy complained, and Lucroy is as good as Russsel Martin is.
  20. I think it's more likely Lucroy walks for compensation picks OR gets extended than it does he gets traded.
  21. After one week we're not dead! Lol. 3-3 split on the week, also beating Keuchel.
  22. Wily Peralta is just terrible. Should have traded the guy to a dumb team/GM before he lost his trade value. Sickening.
  23. As long as it ends in a 3-2 record tonight i'm all for either. I think Peralta bounces back tonight though, maybe a 5-3 type of game.
