  1. ND is a better matchup I think for us than Xavier's athletes were. Happ can handle Auguste down low, and the rest of the team stacks up in our favor. We've seen some fairly horrible play out of them lately (including the middle part of the 2nd half yesterday) so I wouldn't count my chickens before they hatch, but there's a nice chance we end up in the elite 8. What a fabulous accomplishment. We've beaten Indiana on the other side, that would be a great game. North Carolina would probably kill us though.
  2. Badgers killed em there for about 3/4 of the half, yet lapsed and now we're down 3. Kind of disappointing really. Hayes has got to make a shot. This is getting ridiculous...he's building the entire Southern border out of bricks for us free at this point.
  3. How has Tejada been abysmal? He has a career wRC+ of 86 which is good for a SS and a 95 last season. He's only 26. He's so good that the Mets waited around 5 years for him to become something and fill their black hole at SS before succumbing to Asdrubal Cabrera in free agency. (Despite Cabrera might end up on the DL to start the year and they have nobody of note to play SS). I'll take the guy with speed and 5 years of control whose younger. Most likely he will end up being similar to what Tejada is now, except there's a bit more upside on the basepaths.
  4. Purdue is a bunch of useless chokers..that was pathetic.
  5. Tejada has been abysmal, at least Carter displays elite power at times. No thank you. "If Villar continues to struggle." How many games have we played again? Zero.
  6. Wichita St and Gonzaga are S-16 bound I think, and if they get A&M on an off day Northern Iowa could push for it too...they're nasty.
  7. This committee is a joke all the way around. SYRACUSE!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?! Hell, does PITT even belong in there? Watch out for Stephen F Austin and Iona...the former is really under the radar but they score & they stop people. Iona is going to run Iowa State into the ground in that mile high air, hope ISU is in shape and ready to go. South - Kansas / Miami, Kansas final four. I don't believe in Nova but not sure who else would get to elite 8. West - Oregon / Oklahoma, Oregon final four East - Carolina / Wisconsin, Carolina final four. I honestly like Wiskys draw here as long as we don't lay another egg. Xavier is a bit overrated in my mind but will be tough. Michigan, WVU (see SF Austin comment), Notre Dame are all beatable. Kentucky or Carolina will come out of the other side South - Purdue / Michigan State, MSU final four Final four, MSU and Kansas advance Title - MSU
  8. Horrific might not cover what they were last night.
  9. Geez, I wish my wife would buy me something new. Instead I get berated for bringing another club home (or getting one in the mail). Redid everything in my bag as well to Titleist 913D3 / R15 tour spoon / 712Us / 714AP2 / Scratch wedges from my crappy older Ping stuff and dropped 5 shots in the first round I played this spring...hopefully I have as much luck as you did in my tourneys or the wife will berate me again for "needing" all these new clubs lol.
  10. If you guys would rather have Dan Gladden let me know and i'll send him right over.
  11. Woohoo for UW Green Bay! #REPRESENT
  12. Monroe does have a fair amount of trade value I would think, especially to a team like the Lakers, Mavericks, Rockets post Dwight, etc who have no bigs. No, Roy Hibbert is not a big. They could easily absorb Monroe's deal. Unlike some of the garbage we've signed in the past like Bobby Simmons, John Salmons, etc, Monroe isn't a depreciating asset. I have no issue with it whatsoever.
  13. That would be golden. THE U should be a tough out though with McClellan, Rodriguez, and co, but everyone else is very beatable to me.
  14. Hank was cool the first 500 times. Now it's just plain annoying and has nothing to do with "Brewers" or Bernie.
  15. Milwaukee Journal reporting this morning that UW to offer a long term deal to Gard. Well deserved to say the least. Thank you Bo!
  16. Does it really matter about his option? It's not like we're strapped for cash, 13M isn't bad for a guy whose track record is good...if for some reason the team starts out hot you can throw it right out the window in my opinion.
  17. Bold prediction...the LHP mashing Milwaukee Brewers beat Bumgarner on opening day.
  18. Wow @ the box scores last night. I'll take 36 from Jabari every night please.
  19. At the end of the day those games still count. If UW had beaten Oklahoma in December no one would be discounting it. Having said that, I bet the committee looks at things like the coaching change and how young the team is when deciding on how much to weigh the early season struggles. I like them in that 6/7 range better than a 4/5, but given our longstanding tourney cred I would think that the Badgers would/should get the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise.
  20. Nelson, Peralta, Garza, Jungmann, Anderson
  21. Am I the only one that walked out of the Revenant a bit uninspired? On one hand the film felt brilliant, and was done brilliant. But on the other hand it felt long and in the end it felt like nothing happened. Really a weird film.
  22. Danny Santana would be the buy low for a flip option...positional flexibility and SS ability. He was pretty bad last year and granted probably played above his ability the year before, so the true player may lie in the range of .260/.300/.370/.650. Better than Segura was last year. Still only 25 and he did have a record of hitting & getting on base in the minors.
  23. And to think there are no graduating seniors (yeah yeah, one technically). This team will be a force next year if Hayes comes back, still will be good without him though.
  24. Shane shed a few tears there. I don't really get the matchup but there's no doubt that it'll be the best match of the night. There must be somebody(s) that are going to screw Shane out of a victory, but the question will be who? Sting?
  25. This team feels as special to me as the one last year, if not more. MUCH less talent, MUCH younger, and a retired hall of fame coach midseason & they've become arguably amongst the hottest team or two in basketball heading into March. If they get a Des Moines draw i'll be making the 4 hour drive down, that's for sure. This was supposed to be a rebuild year...instead who knows how far they can go. Gard trusting the freshmen is something Bo could never do, and it's paying dividends. I don't think Iowa is playing their best, but UW is physically imposing their will on people. Woodbury looked like he just ran 50 miles without stopping. Maryland got whipped too, I think it's a product of our play more than Iowa stinking up the joint.
