  1. Tough one tonight but the rest of our NL foes lost besides STL, and they pushed the Dodgers down further. We shouldn't see Kratz for 2-3 days with the off day Thursday. Pina is warming up. Hopefully that home run gets Schoop going. Offense scored 5+ again. Chance to win a series tomorrow.
  2. We finished the 2nd half of the season 1 game over .500 We finished August 15-12. We finished September 16-12. We didn't collapse last year. We started the year poorly and had one bad stretch in July. We finished the season 10 games over .500. We were only 11 games over .500 once last year, and it was on July 15th
  3. This Brewers team is built very differently than a historical Brewers team. That said, it can be tough to adjust to someone you haven't seen before. I still think we light this guy up today though. This guy on the surface looks nowhere near capable of pitching in the majors. This pitcher would never be pitching in the majors this early if it wasnt for the padres out of contention. That said, it doesnt look good for the brewers as they cant hit stink pitchers. We get crushed by pitchers with 5.0 or 6.0 era. Toss in a Cy Young winner and we are 6-1. We play up or down depending on competition. We just arent hungry or intense. There is a reason why we can get destroyed by miami or swept by the white sox but then win series against the best teams. Literally neither of those things happened.
  4. Well Albers, Barnes and Jennings are in the pen. Not a lot of great options there. Yup, I get it... I see no reason Hader is unavailable today. We baby him way too much imo. He already pitched today...
  5. Had his curveball working. Not sure why he threw Arenado 6 straight fastballs.
  6. Great inning from Corey. Puig should have been at first. Mowed down 3 very good hitters.
  7. Perez is fine in the exact spot he's in right now. The worst player on a good bench.
  8. Not gonna be too greedy. Let's get a clean 8th and the top coming up in the 9th.
  9. Not worth burning Shaw against a LHP. You're correct. Momentarily forgot it was lefty on lefty. Now you go with Shaw, right?
  10. Pina has to be the most likely Brewer to hit into a double play. Just a fly ball Manny come on.
  11. Nice to see Braun recognize his mistake there and take an identical pitch for ball 3.
  12. Working in Milwaukee with a west coast client is a drag most of the year but I swear I won't complain again until Friday. Big insurance run. Jeffress was filthy.
  13. I'm guessing neither Thames or Aguilar will be back. Counsell seemed pessimistic on both despite both players' optimisim. I'll go Cain Yelich Braun Shaw Saladino Perez Phillips Pina
  14. I think you can throw Miley out there until he actually pitches bad. He's been fine. I have my doubts that it continues but his 3 starts where he didn't get hurt he has thrown 17 IP and allowed 4 R (3 ER). Keep trotting him out there until he actually has a bad start or two.
  15. I actually think Pina was out by a mile had he been sent and it took two perfect throws AND Miley tiptoeing around 3rd to get Miley by a a foot or two. Don't think Sedar is really to blame for either of those.
